Entrancing, Enticing Tuesday PWYC

Post by Harriet »

If something is entrancing to you, it is "fascinating, pleasing, enticing".

What projects will entice you to accomplishment today in your lovely home?

What entrancing part of your PODA finds you fascinated and pleased?

Thank you for starting us off today Harriet!!

I see the light at the end of the tunnel on my cross stitch project. I only have 2 more flowers to do the backstitching on!! WOO HOO!! It's also a sunny day, so Mother Nature has provided some amazing lighting!!

PSW is coming for dh this morning.

There are some large utensil and one large pot in the sink. I also have to do the litter boxes, take out the bathroom garbage and empty the dishwasher. All easy to do and I might sweep the floors.

Leftovers for supper.

Oops almost forgot I also have to go pick up 2 prescriptions for dh and more needles.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Have floral fun, Cathy.

Trying to meet the Crossroads of the Day here, before becoming too entranced by my own creative pursuits.

General spiffing of the kitchen today included refilling the pepper and salt shakers, with a resounding sneeze to finish, so I must be doing something right.

A laundry load is fluffing now.

Nancy, thank you for sending the ice tea thoughts while the heat was tough here.
Today, we're chilly, which is so predictable for unpredictable March.

Wondering if Twins' is also chilly on her trip. Perhaps today she is studious rather than taking long walks.

At least one of the grands expected this afternoon after school.

Good morning

My day is off to a smooth start. DD14 and I had a chatty visit on the way to drop her off at school. DS17 was up early today excited about starting his new job. The owner talked to DS17 yesterday and told him there was a retirement path available in this company for him if he wanted to work and make a lot of money. This is the first job DS17 has had with potential long term career type employment. Who knows....DS17 might not like it, but it seems a positive possibility.

Twins - I love hearing about your travels and adventures. The big and small things are fascinating to me. Thanks for sharing

It's a rainy day cloudy too. Had a shower already so glad I did as much yesterday as I did in the garden.
It's cool here took advantage of the before it rains moment to get the trash out to the street.
Got under the plant cage roof to sort out the leaves from the branches to get them ready for
pick up later, leaved went in compost.

Had a boiled egg.
QT happened.
Did some knitting & reading.
Got dressed.

Have a great one gals!

I love when I can get time at home to do my daily doings. Today feels like a treasure because it has nothing on the calendar which is rare. My life right now is frequently filled with taking 3 people to multiple medical appointments. Plus, the occasional medical appt for myself. The family has 7 medical appointments this week that I need to attend with them. I keep reminding myself that life won't always be like this. DS17 is 5 months away from being 18 and then he can go to medical appointments by himself. I does make me smile and shake my head that this 6'4" person with a full beard is considered a minor child so the doctor office won't allow him to be seen without an adult. Ohs well.

I have to brag on this minor child in being confident in taking drug test yesterday. With so many street drugs available it is prevalent to casually use drugs/pot. I suspect in DS17 friend group about half would not be able to pass drug test. I am VERY thankful & relieved that DS17 keeps making decision that drugs/pot isn't for him which means he can take advantage of opportunities because he can pass drug test. This was our first experience with drug testing. They tested for...
** Amphetamines: Includes methamphetamine, speed, and MDMA/Ecstasy.
** Barbiturates: Phenobarbital, etc..
** Benzodiazepines: Valium, Xanax, etc..
** Cocaine
** Marijuana/Cannabis (THC): Metabolites can stay in the system for weeks.
** Methadone
** methamphetamine
** Opiates: Covers heroin, codeine, and morphine.
** Phencyclidine (PCP)

LadyM what kind of a job will he be doing? Good for him for being able to get drug tested without being worried about them finding anything.

It is a local 50 year old business has 3 generations of family members running it. They make and sell industrial cleaning products and equipment.

I am attempting to get us on a schedule time to eat our meals. The days that we are home are easy. I'm having to figure out how to do the meals when we are away from home. Stay on schedule or do something different? hum...I prefer to cook from scratch which isn't always possible.
And now it appears that DS17 will be coming home for lunch every workday. Having a well-stocked ready-to-eat selection of food is vital to support that. Today he ate a turkey/ham/cheese sub sandwich, scallop potatoes, and cooked apples. Then he was gone in less than 20 minutes.
