Thank you, Dogged! According to them.it should be a small (!) straightforward job - I guess it's a matter or proportion! And I'd much rather they came now, even with very short notice, than later on in May, when the painter is supposed to be coming to paint the outside of the house! And Ive not got any appointments tomorrow, so, really ,.it works well .

Thanks for the flower name. I love those. I’ll have to see if they are hardy in my zone, can they take the heat.

Dogged, plastic is fine for litter boxes. We replaced our plastic boxes because they were old and I wanted to try the steel, with so many cats it’s nice to keep the germs down anywhere possible. Mine are the 2 pc, bottom is steel with a snap on plastic top to keep the litter in, maybe $50ish, a little pricey but an investment that will last awhile. I’ve seen the steel ones on Facebook marketplace now for a lot cheaper than new prices so that’s an option too, should you ever gain a cat roommate.

Speaking of plants, I’m so glad I didn’t pull up the bridal wreath spirea. It’s beautiful in full bloom now and dropping small white petals on the porch like confetti. I think I’ll just give them a good trim after they bloom out and hang on to them awhile. So that means only the overgrown Texas sage must go, out of plants that are in front of the porch. They have thick trunks and very little leafage or blooms. And the briars as soon as I get some juicy blackberries off of them. They’re budding now so I can wait a little longer to pull them up. Dreading the task tbh, as they root so much and are hard to get rid of totally.
I’ve updated my list way back on page 3. Now it’s time to get ready for bed and scroll or find something to watch.

Bama, I am staunchly against world domination, but sometimes have to curb the ambitions of my Christmas planter from two years ago. Your plants sound beautiful. I must ask kitkat tomorrow if she is actually able to put pansies outside. Where I live, plants don't go outside until Victoria Day, which is in late May.

I have got my hair washed. I'm going to play tomorrow by ear. If I am up and functioning early, I could get laundry done and still have time to go to my bff's "stitch n bitch" in the evening if the snow is not too bad. If I have my usual late start and the weather seems good, I'll leave laundry for Thursday.

Doggedly, my nurse friends learned to deal with a migraine with a "brew" of 2 cups (0.5 liter) water - room temperature, not cold. Dissolve 1/2 - 3/4 tsp table salt, and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. A little . Drink this down in about half an hour, may repeat.
The theory behind this is that migraines include spasms of blood vessels, both constriction and dilation, and getting plenty of fluid helps calm that. This mixture gets extra fluid to the blood vessels in the brain quite fast. Brain can be dehydrated when we don't know it.

I used plastic for litter box, and scooped the litter, periodically using bleach to clean it totally. One thing I don't miss about having my cat.
full day, it's nearly bedtime, and I don't really feel like reporting what I accomplished, except to say that clearing my desk is such a challenge for my non-secretary brain.
I do have to clear off the bathroom counter - completely - before I go to bed, as electrician is coming early morning to put in a ceiling exhaust fan into my bathroom (after living in my house for 48 years without one), so I will have some plaster dust to deal with as he cuts a hole in the ceiling and works in the attic to find a place to get power to it.

Germane’s old lady version of the centrifugal spin is to walk in a circle like a pony ride and then stare meaningfully at me. I got the message and gave her the rest of the salmon.

Put white fish in the toaster oven to cook for Germane
Put more dishes in to soak
Looked up pronunciations for przewalskis horse. Settled on “she-VAL-ski as the pronunciation that I can make without embarrassing myself.

Went to put on the electric kettle. Found that it was sitting in a puddle from the rubber gloves that I had used on the dishes. Moved the kettle.

Oh, electrolytes, Gma. I know that as "a bowl of water, a pinch of salt and a handful of sugar." That is what is taught to mothers in areas of low literacy to keep their babies from dehydrating when they have diarrhea. I could certainly give that a try, as it would be better for me than ibuprofen.
A ceiling fan for the bathroom will be very nice. I don't have one in mine and it can get quite steamy when I shower.

This mixture absorbs more quickly than just plain water. You can add potassium by making it 1/2 water, 1/2 orange juice, but that does require tolerating the OJ.
