Good morning Thanks for the start Kittykatt - I find draught horses beautiful....
I've had front loaders since 2008. The ones in the old house got moldy no matter how much I wiped/left door open. The one here has no mold... I imagined front loaders are like those we had before but apparently, that is not the case. The agitators are smaller. No adjustable water levels. Did not sound appealing - so back to front loaders we go - just making sure it's not Samsung or LG.

trissie what a considerate DH! Hope he gets the help he needs with snoring. Glad you got your sleep!

Bama - it's so nice to have a day like that! Enjoy today:)

LAnn - we do the same here - refill the eggs. I see a neighbour decorated her tree with eggs. It looks so pretty:) I have no suitable tree... They are all 100 + years old giants

Another week has passed, Boss was away so I could work uninterrupted. Working on fiscal documents, learning as I go... new skills I will add on my resume.
The dishwasher is working, the other washer (laundry) is working, there are 7 lunchboxes filled and cooling on the kitchen table before I freeze them. So I must have been productive.
I started the day with a dr appt, she tried to pierce and empty an abcess I have in my shoulder skin, on the back side, but nothing got out, sorry if TMI, so I will have to find a surgery appt (when??) or go to Emergencies to get them to remove the thing if it doesn't improve by tomorrow. I've been sporting a table-tennis-ball-sized bump under my neck for ten days now.
MrNG is busy with his training and will work tomorrow a full day for his consulting business, with an uneasy "client". I need to clean the house because my DUncle S-- will spend the night on Friday and the house isn't company ready. At all. Never has been.

I need to refill our bird feeder too, L Ann. They're eating it fast! I thought they might slow down in the spring, but not yet.

FFB, I hope you can get that lump sorted out. It sounds uncomfortable. WTG with the 7 cooked lunches!

I'm up late after going to bed early (for me). I was awake for almost 2 hours from ~3:30 - 5:30 a.m. Dh thinks I probably dozed off and on during that time. Maybe. We did have a conversation within that time as he also was awake. LOL! BUT I woke up 10 hours after I fell asleep, so regardless, I got at least a good 8 hours and also feel well rested.

It is 26F (-3.3C) with 19F (-7.2C) windchill. It's supposed to warm up to about 44F (6.7C). But - it's sunny, which makes the chilly temps more palatable!

There's nothing on the calendar today! Jogging (earlier to get it done or later when it's warmer?), a quick run to WF, some payroll, and some writing time - as well as trying to finish up some things on my brain dump list would all be good. Dh and I will eat the leftover pasta for dinner (I don't think our pasta reheats very well so I'm loathe to freeze leftovers -- though dh will), and I'll make fresh tomato mushroom sauce to go with it. Dh and I are also going to work on our trip to Europe. We still need accommodations in Avignon as well as a night in Lyon in a hotel on the way to and from the Alps. And we'll get tickets for sights in Barcelona. Oh, and plane tix too, though dh says the prices are dropping so we might wait and see.

You are reminding me that Easter is around the corner, and we need to make plans. I need to figure out the guest count, reserve a leg of lamb, figure out the rest of the menu. This year, I need to figure out baked goods since our resident baker (dd27) usually does that -- but she's in NYC and then DC visiting friends until Saturday, April 4th.

L Ann, I haven't looked at prices myself but that's what dh has said as he's looked. We got our tickets to Seattle for a lower price than usual. He thinks it might be because people here are a little spooked by the unpaid TSA workers, long lines, and the accident last week at LaGuardia.

I just finished setting up the S3 exam checklist + folders. That's done. Next, I'll have some qt, probably some lunch as well, and then I'll look into jogging.

It's sunny and quite clear, a pretty day!

Shire horses! Lovely huge horses with big hairy feet. Did I mention that I have a special soft spot for draft horses, Kittykatt? Thanks for starting us off.
I'm thankful that Germane's attack was very short, and after it was over she was able to walk around, if a bit wobbly, and later in the evening she was walking around normally. She hasn't woken up yet this morning. I'm waiting to give her her heart pill.
I'm glad that the Matilda strategy has resulted in a better sleep.

Hooray for a good night's sleep, trissie. I hope that the couch was comfortable for your DH.

There are No Kings protests going on across the U.S., Bama. I'm not surprised that we are better informed on this than you. There have been a lot of complaints within the U.S. about the U.S. media suppressing information about the protests, so it's easier for those of outside of the country to hear about it.

Do you put something in the empty eggs, L.Ann? Or is the fun of finding the eggs enough?


I was starting to get worried about Germane's heart pill. After my Saturday radio shows are over, I want to go out to do errands: take Bell's PVR to the courier drop off, deposit my OAS cheque, and maybe face Costco if I'm brave for cheese. I need more soft cheese for Germane's pills and I would like more parmesan for me. But while I was writing this, Germane woke up and got her pill and peanut butter, so we are in our one-hour no-food period already.

I am at the end Page 1, so time to get up and do something useful.

Dogged, there's even a No King protest in Germany (and Paris and Dublin, of all places!) When I looked at the website, that's what it pointed me to.
L.Ann, I accidently picked the 7th installment of a murder mystery series taking place in Alaska, very interesting read about the tribal people there! I know I am supposed to be interested in the murder, but the Athabaskans and Yupiks are just more fascinating to me!

Bama, wow, your DD has been a graduated adult for 10 years already? I keep counting (5 years, 3 months and 3 days) till DS14's HS graduation - nobody's gonna be pestering me about missing geometry utensils and smart-assing a teacher in German when he's at university!

The spring fatigue is real! Only, in my case, it kinda started with the emotional exhaustion of family matters in fall, continued into Christmas-preps exhaustion, and now it's spring fatigue. Or it's my age cathing up with me and my body no longer tolerating lack of sleep? Anyway, had to take a nice nap after lunch and I am only now properly raising from the dead and it's 5pm! But I can still do an hour outside before some quick dinner and family movie!

Thanks for thinking of us, trissie. Safe and sound here, and a beautiful day for it. Cool but not really chilly, and no problems. We had our choice of towns.

While out, we thought about getting the car washed - SO much pollen, but we decided maybe wait until a weekday because of everyone else having the same idea. And also, if we did the you-wash-it type, well, a little too chilly.

We got a sandwich and enjoyed the dogwoods blooming everywhere.

trissie, you must be deeply tired! Glad you're getting lots of sleep. Your body seems to need it. I took Advil (ibuprofen) last night as I was a bit congested. My body tends to wake up when a medication wears off. It's kind of an annoyting thing my body does. This med lasts up to 6 hours, and I woke up about 5.25 hours after I took it. I didn't take another dose as I wasn't feeling congested at that point.
Ooh yum - fresh bread, L Ann! Will you eat it with dinner?
That's a lot of errands, Doggedly. Glad Germane got her pill.
