SHEM: If you manage to spend over $80 in a store like Giant Tiger, you are not allowed anywhere near Costo!
Dogged The Errander Princess returns triumphant from her quests. Unfortunately, I suspect too late to chat with most our SHEs.
This is from earlier:
I believe that we have one here in my city, trissie. (No More Kings rally) I don't see the point of that. The U.S. ambassador to Canada is so unprofessional that he was actually recalled from The Netherlands before being inflicted on us. If they have a rally outside the embassy, I'm sure that he will just lecture us on what we are allowed to think as he usually does.
If only I would get up and do those errands, helia, LOL. I got distracted online shopping, trying to avoid shipping fees.
I met all of my goals except one. I made it to the bank in time to deposit my cheque in the ATM in the lobby, not out in the wind in the drive-through. For special bonus points, I was able to find my new PIN number and use it.
I made it to Staples while their shipping desk was still open and sent off Bell's PVR.
I went to Giant Tiger to pick up an extendable pole and went berserk buying everything in the store. They did not have camembert or brie cheese, unfortunately. As I am clearly in a spendy mood, I thought that I really should stay away from Costco, and the Costco parking lot agreed. I saw behaviour there that I have never seen in my life. Drivers just pick a parking spot and wait for the current occupant to load their car and put their cart away, etc. and block everyone behind them. We all have to just wait, even if you were just trying to go up the lane to come down another lane. After getting stuck behind a few of those drivers, I concluded that Life was protecting my bank account, and went home.
I'm glad that I had put Germane in her pen before going, as she was still howling when I came back. The neighbours can't really hear her when she's in her pen, but if I had left her loose and she howled right beside the door, she would have been annoying.
Now she's decided that she doesn't accept salmon as a treat, so I'm going to try cooking some basa for her to see if she will eat that.
Thanks, FrenchFly. Fortunately, it was a very short attack and she recovered quickly.
You get the benefit in the winter time. My db used to live on the eastern edge of our time zone, whereas I live closer to the western side. I couldn't get over how early the sun went down when I went to visit him at Christmas!
Thank you for that ray of hope, Harriet, and I have one in return. My db had cataract surgery, and it went swimmingly. No problems following. With all of the serious health issues that he has had, he never even mentioned it to me until long after, when Germane's cataracts got worse.
Thanks, kitkat and Kittykatt. Germane is back to her sassy self,
