WTG on all these projects! Cathy finished up the challenging parts of her Mason Jars and is ready to hang, and Harriet is machine quilting away these days...it's nice to see a % of completion! And Nancy experimenting with odds and ends,

I could use some creative time upstairs myself.

I donated the red white and blue project at the Vets. fair for a raffle.
They had a perfectly done lovely quilt they were raffling off too.
That was white and grey!

I finished the multi color stripe project this weekend.
[ Had to rest my hand after that. ]

Started a new self striping pastel prayer shawl project.
I have it case on and the first foundation row knit on it that is all.
Hand is better today yea!

That is so thoughtful to donate for the raffle, Nancy.

Twins', I hope you get to have some time in your creativity space. You've been so intentional with research and community things.

Did not even really look at fabric yesterday, just recuperated. That was the best thing. You sort of need to have brain power before you start stitching lines that would be hard to take out if they were off. You make enough mistakes when you are alert, lol. At least I do!

I did get some designs doodled in a notebook I took with us. And because the tv connections were down all over the hospital I was so glad I had thought to take along the tablet, thinking of HRH. While he was out walking to find us a snack, I went online and searched for quilting designs that way, too - just little pics. It made me feel as though I was making progress. And while I was down and out later, lol, I realized I was finding one design much sweeter and more comforting to think about than others, so I knew then that it was a keeper.

Just about all I've gotten done on quilt today has been drafting that one out onto plain paper but working overtop of the block itself so I could see what I was doing. Have a good feeling about it. Wonder if I should try to make a firm template since it may be a favorite and I wouldn't want to mess up the paper and then not have a crisp pattern anymore. I fear I couldn't manage it because it would take such careful cutting. even an exacto knife. Thinking. Well, at least I know I will photocopy it before I use it, so I'll have a back-up.

Also enlarged a part of a coloring book image which will work for a hand-quilting bit. (And copied)

one third of the machine quilting done.

Love the little chart, Harriet!

By the time I was done with the DAR work yesterday, it was past 6 p.m. and I was just done for the day. Hope to get back to it at some point soon?
