Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Let's address the pent up need to address those tasks that are "out there" needing to be done, nagging at us. Make yourself a list of one or two, and we'll get on them together - will be so nice to have those OFF our collective minds and in the rear view mirror!

I dropped everything yesterday to get this response ready to go. I'll have it in the mail today. I'm going to declare this a "downstairs" day and do stuff that needs to get done. I left the Roomba w/o emptying it yesterday, I left a soaking pan from Monday p.m. in the sink all day, and all kinds of stuff undone.

Anti procrastination tasks on list for today'
-gas in car
-post office for HOA (will go when I mail the DAR stuff)
-clean out car, possibly wash (it's cloudy today but the car needs it so much, especially the windshield with dead bugs)
-instacart order
-Roomba - change filter, empty dirt bin, put away from yesterday when I ran it on the screened porch
-daily, mostly not done since before trip, lol

What else...and how many of these can I power through?

By now, since this has been sitting, roomba is put away and Instacart ordered.

I did a PUPA & RBR before bed in a couple of zones before bed glad for that.
Today I need to deal with clothes it's spring but still to cold to put away winter stuff here.
Hang up what will not fit in drawers is OMM.
I have an errand to deal with.

Need to do my monthly review.
Table needs cleared of notes from mower info. I have written on 5 x 7" cards.
I did catch up on my garden planner; daily planner info. log.
Got 10K + steps in yesterday doing PUPA in garden and trips to the basement really helped plus a walk.
I slept well.
Cloudy here today.

Update: Thanks for your input!
Talked with dson quite a while last nite on the mower decision and electric it is.
20 is year old mower is not worth the time effort & energy to fix.
Grass is going to seed and meadow and wild stuff is blooming in the part I did not mow! LOL!
That was a popular yt vit. I did too.

mom is not feeling well - she has a cold. and says she feels bad.

I moved all the furniture this morning to the kitchen; as well as moving things out of the family room for the floor people - they are sanding our family room floor to match mom's new hallway to her bedroom.

I have to go Friday to mom's apartment - after taking dh to his eye dr.
dd older will come with to find family history so it doesn't get tossed.

I have to call drs. for appointments

So much on your mind bw2. I'm sorry your dmom feels bad on top of all else. Thanks for checking in.

Harriet, Wednesday was my traditional errand day in the BWP, so I'm with you. Dh went after one of his scripts at CVS so he's getting that for me, and checking at the other Publix for passover macaroons. I may be making some for Friday if we don't find them, lol. Instacart shopper didn't find any. Of course, she may not have known what she was looking for, too. -

I've been a little of this a little of that:
-walked ddog, encouraged a neighborhood cat to stand up her but alas. Also talked to some neighbors.
-laundry from this a.m. is in dryer
-almost all hang to dry laundry is put away.
-scanned documentation and stuff for DAR. Had to fix something, then save again. Then packaged it to go.
-got Roomba reconnected to network since battery had been dead
-perused Stampin up "Last chance" stuff

Groceries will probably be here soon, it's nearly noon and shopper has checked out. I still need to s2s and then head out for errands

Good morning!

DC is dropped at school. April showers are here in force. Well, actually not so much force -- that was last night; the drive to pick DC up from school was a white-knuckler. Fortunately, DH was doing the actual driving. I was just companionship and coordination with DC via text. But it's still raining and supposed to rain the rest of the week, cold now, getting quite warm, then cold again for Easter. Did notice my first trees/shrubs in bloom today (well, not quite first; the pieris in front of our house blooms quite early, and I've seen some magnolias budding but not quite open). Some Bradford pears, I think, some forsythia, and a weeping cherry a few doors down. I suppose if I keep my eyes open, I'll see more. Still plenty of daffodils, but no tulips yet.

As for anti-procrastination, it has been several days since I knocked anything off my master list. If I put my mind to it, I can finish my nightstand today. I am not going out in this to get flower boxes or take my old bike to be refurbished for DD. Clearing off the folding table in the basement, though, is certainly possible, and I can work some more on getting the dining room in shape (it's an uphill battle in the sense of Sisyphus rolling the stone  ).

Fiber: a glass of Metamucil and some Quaker instant oatmeal with fiber get me a long way toward my daily fiber goals, but that's really just supplementation, too. It just doesn't feel like it to me as much as the protein shakes do.

blessed, does your mom have an apartment up north in addition to the one in FL? Or am I confused as to which daughter was helping her with the apartment? I hope she's feeling better soon.

If I finish now, it can still be morning! So have a great day, everyone!

hello again d twins! hello d mystery
have a wonderful day -

mom has an apartment 5 minutes, by car, from here.
she has been living here for almost a year and a half.
my brother just decided to let it go which is a good thing. it's a connection to the bad nursing home that is connected to the really nice apartments - people think that they will get the same service as they did in the apartment and individual homes -

it will be nice to know that this part is closed -

mom is up and eating

Good morning

I had late night interactions with both teens last night. They both receive my opinion about a couple issues, plus my firm guidelines on what is acceptable and what isn't. It is highly unusual for me to "pick my battle" for two separate issues and both teens at the same time. It made me wonder if "I" was the problem. Hours later with more thought, I believe I wasn't overreacting to either situation. Raising teenagers isn't always fun or easy.

DD14 is going to her beloved concert in the big city tonight. DD49 has volunteer to take her. Weather is supposed to be stormy so I will be watching it and texting them if it becomes dangerous.

I have my new month journal, pathway and calendar set up. I changed some things that I have been tracking. Everything I track must provide useful feedback or I don't want to spend the time & focus thinking about it.
