Thank you for starting us off on this shiny new week Twins' Mom!!

The sun is shining here, so I am stitching while dh is sleeping. He wants to be woken up at 10 "at the latest" because our garden tractor is being picked up to be taken to get the decks switched over to the mower deck. Then they will bring everything back when it's done. They said "between 10 and 10:30".

Making lots of progress on doing nothing else. I am seeing that I should be dusting some picture frames. Shhh... if dh doesn't say anything, I don't need to do anything. Right?

Ramblin Rose how are your birds and their big chicks? Big Bear Valley has 2 newly hatched eaglets as of yesterday.

Good morning

We don't have school today so DD14 is getting to sleep in. DS17 has successfully been launched to work. I am happy for him that he loves his new job and the people there. He has two good job offers for the day when he turns legal age (18) but he might decide to stay where he works now.

DD14 has a meeting with her trusted counselor later today. I am encouraging DD14 to consider doing some shopping, movie, or anything that sounds interesting to her today. Sometimes I can get her out and about, but she much prefers to stay at home.

I am binge watching a show that has captured my attention. After yesterday interaction with DGS28 this show reminds me that there has always been struggles & challenges between generations as the world changes. The show is A Place to Call Home (2013–2018) is a fictional Australian melodrama set in the 1950s after World War II. While it is a work of fiction, the series portrays realistic social issues, class struggles, and historical attitudes of that era.

Good morning, everyone.

Looking forward to hearing from those we haven't seen in a few days.

Have had my first eyedrop. Yipes, I'd forgotten how surprising the medicated ones can feel. But it's fine. Oops, just remembered typing this that I'm supposed to start penciling (bubbling) in the spaces in the chart for the drops. Ya'll seem to remind me so often of things I should be doing!

Will accompany HRH to a regular appt today.

I've called the new place I'm to go in the morning, just because it seems they are cutting it awfully close to the time, not to have contacted me about when to arrive, etc. The lady says they don't finish the schedule for the upcoming morning until the end of the morning of the previous day. Okay. Again, though, I had to correct about the preferred landline telephone not being able to accept texts (sigh), and that I'd asked for a call or email. (And there should be so much info that it's silly to try to put it into text, but I didn't say that.)

The garden tractor and all the stuff has been picked up. Dh was out there shortly before the guy showed up. Now he's gone for a ride on the ATV. He had to move the truck. I stayed inside and let him do what was needed. He also checked the cistern while he was outside.

Dh has had his coffee. Before he woke up I dusted some of the living room.

Because there is no knitting to go to, I am still home. I do need to go buy some soda for me.

I'm up awake slept in an hour later that explains why it was so lite out!
Had some coffee bujo and mp journals and log for yesterday done.
Contemplating my week.
Might get a mower today time will tell.
Dson is excited to help me with this process it's his fun thing I think to shop
for mortised equipment. Like most men. [I distant car shopping.]

I am glad I kept up on my daily dishes yesterday that makes my morning go so much better.

dumped trash in prep for can to street day tomorrow.

Point of Interest neighbor is loading up his riding mower he's been working on it
all spring it's only a couple years old.

I need to get busy this a.m. I've been distracted by dh and he's gone out. He's been spinning ideas about building a "bourbon room" onto the house and I'm not listening. I told him we have two perfectly good bedrooms upstairs he could use for collecting if he wants to give up the office he doesn't use anyway. I don't think he's really serious but I'm tired of hearing it.

Just got beef stew for tonight in crockpot on low. I need one more ingredient - dried porcini mushrooms, which I'll go out to get. I'm thinking It won't hurt to stir those in a little late.

Other OMM for today:
-workout at two
-dh has 6 p.m. Zoom meeting, may be short but soup will be flexible if it's not
-need fine floral wire from Michaels - I deconstructed a grapevine wreath last week and need to redo
-I have new pillow forms for front porch pillows, so need to "install" those.

Dh did say that he's donating a very large cooler that he bought on a whim to Rotary to use for their events. It's so big I'm not sure one person could move it when filled. We've never used it. Costco madness.

Good morning! It looks like GoDaddy's problems have been resolved, knock wood -- I got right in here with no delays or problems, and from the number of posts, I gather the same is true for others.

DH is home today, for varying values of "home." He's on his way now to take DC to school and then go hike in the park not far from there so he can get practice using his new hiking poles over terrain. He's going to be helping with a hiking retreat coming up -- next week, I think? Maybe the week after. His knee bothers him on downhills to the extent that last year, there was one long downslope where he fell behind the group, and he wants to make sure that doesn't happen again. He says he will be home for a late lunch, but he did take some food to tide him over. DC, on the other hand, will be at school till 9 due to play rehearsal.

I'm sleepy today -- hung around in bed for half an hour waiting for DH to get out of the bathroom before discovering/realizing that I must have dozed off and missed him getting out and getting dressed. So I'm running behind -- or was till DH took care of the driving for me. I think I'll make a cup of tea when I'm done here.

Lost track attempting to CUOP. Twins, I don't know if you'd have any advice for me. I've been thinking of a friend who lost his mom unexpectedly last Passover. I don't know whether it would be better to send a message now, during Passover, or next week, for the Yahrzeit (sp?). Maybe both, but I don't want to intrude too much. I feel rotten for the guy; he doesn't have much family support.

And again I've lost track. I really need to make that cup of tea. Have a great day, everybody!

I think I was genuinely helpful at appt today. You never know if it's going to help or just get in the way to have another family member. We'll pick up a sandwich and head home.

Twins', you are extra crafty today.

And again I've lost track.

I'm right here with you.

I got out and got the dried mushrooms and they have been added. These were dried but not brittle as most I've purchased. I was working my way up toward the store I normally go to or order from and the Food Lion before I got to Publix had them.

I must eat something, need to leave for workout in less than an hour. Dh went out for lunch with friends, I wish he would put things on the calendar so I know when he's booked. He had forgotten about the mushrooms then didn't have time.

Also need to clean up kitchen from the earlier chopping and also talk to the yard people. I was instructed to ask about the tree that we want them to procure and plant for us, and the backflow device and sprinkler system.
