Yesterday I took some books out to my car that I will be donating. Today it was compost, garbage and recycling that went to the end of the driveway.

I'm fully dressed to shoes and it's not a very nice day out there. Overcast, cold and windy enough to shake the trees.

Two of the cats have been outside long enough to supervise me while I took out the garbage. They both sit on the driveway and watch and when I open the door to come back into the house, they both come in without any prompting from me. Neither one of them get within 30 feet of the road.


Later...

The sun came out so I have been stitching black on black. I also emptied the bathroom garbage and kitchen garbage, the small compost bin in the kitchen and made a cup of hot tea.

Dh just woke up but he said he's going back to bed. Before I fell asleep last night dh and I had a serious talk about how he has to get outside and get things going that need to be done before we plant anything. We need some dirt delivered. He also has to fix the platform holding the 2 huge water totes. I just can't do that particular job. We also discussed the fact that he can't change my tires any more. His back hurts too much to pick up my tires and lift them up to the car when it's on the hoist. Dh called the guy he wants to do my tire changeover. I am booked for next Tuesday. Regular price is $60. He's doing mine for $20. "because you always do favours for me."

Cathy - Thank you for opening our PWYC village today. I enjoyed reading about your doings.

I've delivered DD14 to school while talking with DS17 on the phone when he called. I was somewhat surprised how much I dislike having anything disrupt our chats while we drive. DD14 and my 5-minute morning chats might not seem like much but they are a vital part of maintaining open communication.

I've completed 2 of the hourly doings and walks. The rain we got a few days ago meant running water in the ditches. After the water passed it left piles of debris and leaves. This morning DH has been busy raking leaves in the ditch in front of our home and bagging them into two 50 gallon bags.

I've been up since five. qt happened as had journals and planner log.
Did some knitting. Just ate and I"m dressed. Need to put on slippers.
Kit. needs a spiff.
So glad I s2s last nite and hair wash & dry before bed.
It's cool 41* outside today's temp. range 67*

I sort of have a plan some inside things to attend to before outside stuff.
When people are here I like to have them just side and talk to me while I do my tasks.
Or some thing in a diff. area like outside or in a diff. room with the doggo to keep them
out from under foot. I think that was my mom's prob. we were in the way in the very small kitchen.
Or distracting her from tasks, or hot stuff on the stove. ...

Sat. is rain in the forecast so I may do the project today that I was going to do.

I overslept - heard the alarm a couple of times and I must have turned it off altogether. Dcleaning lady is coming tomorrow, not today, so it's okay. Dh came in from his workout, showered, and is going to chiropractor now. He out for bowling this evening.

I really really need to figure out in the evening my priorities for the next day. I still have ferns to repot and need to get tomatoes into ground (and protect from ddog digging.)

-put away spring stuff on kitchen table (remainder of wreath building)
-check on toothpaste script that dentist was to send to CVS
-straighten up for dcleaning lady for tomorrow
-work out at two, after workout drop off recyclable glass
-either stamping or genealogy time

Webinar last night was informative, but probably not needed. It's about research at the Allen CO Public Library at the NGS conference in May. I need to do some prep for to be able to research effectively. And to add to OMM above, need to update my excel sheet of continuing education so I can remember to report all in January.

Nancy, I get nervous when others go into my kitchen. I'm actually better when I'm with them, worse if they go without me and start trying to find things, ugh!

We are out getting a lens popped out of my glasses. So odd to try to see things correctly with eyes disagreeing in a new way. Where is the ground, again?

Errand to bank is next up.

Harriet I agree also trying to make lunch for grands in another kitchen at their home is a challenge as well.

I've spiffed my kitchen up dishes are done.
I did toss a pan I burned to badly to ever be what I want to use hoping
I can replace it for cooking my egg at bfast.

I mixed up chicken salad for later in the day.
Waiting for grass to dry off for yard work adventures in a bit.
Fire Pit Fun in a while.

Neighbors took himself for a walk they were frustrated.
Got it back home again.

We have a lovely day today.
Did some knitting crochet while I wait for dryer grass.
I did the outside tasks yea!

Good afternoon!

It is garbage day here, too, but there's nothing I particularly have to worry about getting out there -- just the usual stuff that DH and the kids will take care of. Saturday is the big day -- our town's semiannual Shred Day. I have to make sure to get there early; when they close, they close -- they do not cut off the line ahead of time. One time I was about 6th in line, and that was it -- take it home and wait another 6 months.

It is very pleasant here today. I hope it's headed your way, Cathy.

LadyM, I remember often going along for the ride when my mom went to the convenience store for milk and lunchmeat just for the conversation. I imagine your DD will remember your car chats just as fondly.

I need to finish updating my master list, but I should wait until I get to that card. The last couple of days, I haven't been following my cards well, and things haven't been getting done like they should. Granted, there have been interruptions to my routine, but then I should lean on the cards all the more.

So next up will be lunch, then starting laundry. Oh, but I should figure out dinner before I plan lunch to make sure everything's going to be balanced. I may need to add a card for that. Have a great one, everybody!

I did more "adulting" when I was out earlier. I went to both banks and paid all the various bills. I went past a place in town that will do income taxes for free (depends on your annual household income) and I called a company to ask them to put me on their do-not-call list.

PSW came while I was out. I also picked up needle tips and meds for dh. I am defrosting chicken for supper. I'm going to make home made vegetable lo mein to go with the chicken.

your post d twins was perfect for what I was doing today - I tossed 18 bags of stuff from mom's apartment here - boy is she clean!!!! she did start saving Tupperware type containers but it was put away so spotlessly. dd older took off and started to take pictures of mom's art and start and putting it into an excel spreadsheet - she is going to add the art photos and the receipts to the file like she does for her bosses art.

tomorrow I hope to finish the bathrooms and get to the top cabinets in the kitchen. I also hope to do the laundry room.
