Re: Writing, Working, Anti-Procrastinating Wednesday PWYC
Got a good bit of sweeping and mopping done. Enough that HRH complained about the smell of cleaner, lol.
He and I went out with the plan of a home improvement store, but along the way, he noted that we were passing the chain store, relatively new here, of a garden center where, a couple years ago as it opened, I did find a few nice plants. So, on the spur of the moment, we chose it instead. It is even larger now, absolutely s-p-r-a-w-l-i-n-g. Selection of supplies was disappointing, so HRH was rolling his eyes. We figured out how to avoid the big areas we weren't interested in and finally found ourselves in the right spaces, and I found some flowers that pleased me enough to buy, and I can tell about in the Gardens topic.
A big problem was that they were virtually running out of potting soil - kind of a bad time of year for that to be happening. ( ? ) We found a good one I like, but I thought it was expensive there. HRH said no way was he shopping multiple stores for a simple potting soil that was right in front of him, so he hefted it into the cart against my better budgeting.
He had one more errand and I stayed in the car for that. Back home, so glad to get into the house because it's just too hot out there. Sigh. Weren't we going to have more than a couple weeks of spring this year?
Mystery sounds surprised at the pace of warmer weather, too.

I have a strong gag reflex too, Lucylee. Getting the mold made for my nightguard is the worst! Once I completely embarassed myself by gagging and throwing up a bit.
I don't think I have decay but not sure. Tooth is cracked and I have a probably 60 year old filling in there. By the time dh has to get a crown he usually needs antibiotics and root canal so I don't know that his experience is like mine.

The plumbers are here working on water systems.
LucyLee - how is the roof replacement going?
Cathy - did you find anything that needed to come home with you while at the mall with your friend?
I've spent WAAAAY too many hours in the dental chair having procedures done. It does help me to have headphone on with something I enjoy listening to as a distraction.

I have two pr. of new glasses ordered and picked out the frames quickly.
So excited to get pink frames for my new readers & blue ones for regular wear.
Got a few items I forgot or needed at the store while I was out and about.
Fetched the mail at the mail box too.
Unloaded the rig.
Saw a friend from grade school 12 yrs. through high school and we visited for 45 min. maybe.
She lives not far.
It is raining so not going outside.
Forgot to get my lunch subway oh well I'm having coffee now did not have any yet today.
Chicken Pot Pie / Soup in a cup Beef are my choices.
I'll get take out later in the week when it warms up some more.
Okay now back to my journal and doing some more art.

Roof is going well, LadyM. They may finish tomorrow.
I’m still waiting to hear if I’m on school pick-up duty. Ds has not called yet.

LadyM… you can but an alarm pad that goes on the floor next to your husbands bed. It goes off when he puts his feet on it as he leaves his bed. You can buy them on Amazon
So far that’s not a worry for me, but if Sweetie stars to wander at night it will be the first thing I will buy

I bought friend lunch, then I bought some chocolate bars at the dollar store, then friend bought us both coffees (I had a cappuccino) and then I bought some vitamins at the pharmacy and then she insisted on buying my a large bag of popcorn and she bought one for herself as well. Honestly the popcorn was the only "unexpected" item. They just wanted popcorn I think. Traffic was awful on the way there and great on the way home. Opposite of what usually happens as far as the traffic goes. It was extremely foggy on the way there plus there was some police and tow trucks on a road near the highway and their were a lot of people slowing to look.

I've never had so much drilling going on in my mouth! But I survived and have a temporary crown for several weeks, and so far, no root canal needed. Dh says his have hurt when the Novocain wears off, but so far it's good. And my mouth tastes funny.
I should qualify by saying that I few fillings and gums are more of an issue than teeth, so I've never done this before. I still have some ancient silver fillings - this hadn't been a problem until the tooth cracked.
Tomorrow, busy day. Zoom at 11 a.m., then workout at two, then ballpark for the evening. I need to consult with dh as to what time he wants to get to ballpark. This was one of his "signature" client events that they are continuing, so a lot of his clients may be there. Perhaps I should plan to sit and watch the game and engage my accounting mindset and do a scorecard. But hoping there's time to go to plant nursery in the afternoon after the workout.
Wanted to mention that ds was laid off on Monday, production is being shut down for the specific VW model here. He's applying for several internal jobs that might happen - he's had exemplary reviews and is receiving, in addition to severance, the substantial bonus he would be receiving in May based on his evaluations. I checked in with him tonight - asked if he needed anything and he asked it I'd make some lasagne and challah for him...so I'll try to get that done. He is a project engineer.
