Re: Wendy House Wednesday
Home from a long day of visiting. My friend who drove was over the speed limit just about the whole way (>10mph over, not just a little). Made me nervous to ride with her.
Trying to decide if I want to go to church discussion tonight. I'm skipping the short evening service. I'm tired and don't really want to change clothes (again - I have work jeans and shirt after taking off my dressy clothes from the visit.)
I have some leaves that blew into a space in my back yard, and will probably go rake them out before they get wet again in tomorrow's forecast of rain. If it's not too windy. Flag across the street is straight out.
They guy who did my shingles last year just sent me a bouquet of flowers as a thank you for the recommendations I made for him to get work this year after our hailstorm. I think I got him at least 3 roofs, and maybe a siding. How kind of him!
Laurlind, how great to find that little blanket started. I wish I was closer, I think I could figure it out for you. I hope you find the pattern.
L.ann, glad you are home. I hope you can get some rest after those stressful and full days.
I think I'm going outside and not doing church tonight.

If I could figure out how to post pictures.. gma I would love that. If it was a shell pattern or some other straight one I think I could too. This one.. hmm how do I describe. Ohh it is a shell. But it has a raised little ball stitch between the shells. I couldn't tell you what that is called.
I found a few shirts for mom at the thrift store. Nothing fancy just comfy loose tshirts. She spends most of her day in bed. Or in her chair. Needs to stretch on with limited mobility.
Some groceries. I should really go for a walk now. Beautiful sun but today the wind is chilly.
Oh and text my sister about something...

Laurlind - could it be a popcorn stitch you're describing?
How is Casper doing?
Does anyone here do Tunisian Crochet? (I've been thinking of starting a little project...)
Gma what a nice gesture with the flowers!
LAnn - nice to see you back!
Bama - hope you are feeling better (I don't do well with my water either... I find, drinking either sparkling mineral water or some herbal tea helps)
I'm back from (restorative) yoga class. I managed an entire hour without coughing! There is hope:)
Dpup is exhausted. I took her out for a training session in the afternoon. We practised left heel to switch, right heel (for about 10 steps) then free (to sniff on the right side) Much better than before. (Her issue was an abrupt change to the right whenever I said, "free". I like to keep my shoulder in its socket...) When I started this, it was working ... then, I had to tweak it a bit, to make the right heel longer so she is less inclined to "dart".
I'm ready for bed.
Hope to see you all tomorrow. ( What is everyone reading? Peter May is keeping me content right now)

Re: Wendy House Wednesday
Kitkat I think you should come help me train Casper. You're working so hard training yourself. What breed do you have. It's a bit hard walking him with my shoulder so bad. I use my strong arm but still... I'm watching him again. I think he is ok now? I never did do another sample but I mixed another bag of his vet food in with the other. Hopefully he doesn't get it back.
Popcorn stitch. I'll look that up but I think so.

I have a Labrador, Laurlind.
They are challenging under 3 years....
She wants to please and she is food motivated...
As long as I can break things down so she understands, she'll do it.
We are making progress/
A year ago her exit from the car was a jump straight into my arms... she was over 50 lbs then
Glad that Casper is feeling better!

Hi, all. I am back from my concert. I met my bff for dinner. She really liked the African restaurant that I recommended. Then we went to Men Of The Deeps concert, and I can't say enough about it. They are a chorus of coal miners from Nova Scotia. From the first moment, they had me enthralled. All of the lights were off, and they filed in from the upper doors down to the stage with only their headlamps on, like miners descending into the black mine. The youngest chorus member looked like he was barely into his 20s to me. The oldest one was 88, and I couldn't get over how strong his voice was. They put on a great show that I am so happy that I got to see. I bought their DVD and am listening to it now.
I have given Germane her pills and coaxed her to eat a little by spreading Laughing Cow cheese onto pieces of cooked carrot and globs of rice from her stew. Can I get any more ridiculous?
I just want to clean up and head to bed early. Good night!
