May the Fourth be with our board!

Post by MysteryWoman »

For the moment, anyhow, the board is up! Quick, let us know what you're up to! And much thanks to Harriet (and Twins, to the extent her travel permits) for the effort to keep us running!

I'm at the beach, dh is heading to pool, I'll head there a little later. High only low seventies today but sunny.

I talked to Harriet earlier about issues with board, she received a missive from Go Daddy sounding as if they believed there were no issues with the board. She is to talk to the them again about that, and other matters...

Today is DC's first of two days of finals, after which things will switch to a summer schedule (to the extent that I keep a schedule) around here. Since DH moved into administration and no longer has summers off, his school year no longer has much effect on the seasons here. Except that he is currently in his busy season, getting next year's master schedule all set before faculty (and most importantly for his purposes, department chairs) head off for the summer. And just to make things interesting, next week he is headed out to Camp School to renew his certification for the Scouts' high ropes/challenge course. Both the Scout council and DH's school have interest in him doing so -- the certification allows him to run events for the Scouts, and he uses his skills there to run a retreat for school. The Scouts are covering his fees; I think the school is counting this as professional development and not against his vacation time. But I will be a bit at loose ends next week.

Anyhow, my cards are about ready for a refresher; I am planning on doing that Wednesday. Today, I have no special plans. I'm a little worried about upcoming oral surgery on Friday -- they will be putting in an implant to replace a tooth that had to be extracted. I'm hoping the implant goes as smoothly as the extraction did.

I'm just happy to be here and looking forward to hearing from everybody else!

Hi, Twins! Enjoy your vacation!

Thinking of you too, bw2, and missing you, and everyone, honestly. I hope you're holding up.

YEAH!! Our SHE village doors are open again! Thank you Harriet, HRH & Twins!

I just returned from doc appt to hear DH results from his last brain test. It wasn't a total surprise, but it still hit me hard because of the drastic change. Last time he scored 59 and now he is at 3%. I'm still processing the information received and ramifications.

Today's project is Sam's yard to get all spiffed up.

Our schedule is adjusted for doctor appt, but is mostly back on track. I didn't cook this morning so stopped by donut shop to get kolaches for family. I saved some for DD14 because once DS17 came home for lunch they were all gone. I didn't eat any of the kolaches but choose to have my typical egg breakfast that I enjoy and makes my body feel good.

DS17 & DH manhandled a couple 16' fence sections for me in the garden. I had a plan for them but didn't have the strength to lift them into place (over my head) but they did it easily. Now I wait to see how my new design works out. The only way to know is to try it a season and see how the plants do.

Hello, dear friends, SO good to see you and to be able to give a report on a Checkup our site has had.
We're in good health ;) , and have a further plan to stay that way, with some site changes that will be mostly invisible to us.

There's a new topic, "An Info Topic - Update on Our Site's Recent Checkup", in the Members section of our site just below.
