Re: Tarragon Tuesday
French Tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus) is from the family Asteraceae. It is a Herbaceous Perennial with aromatic, long narrow smooth, green leaves that have an anise flavour. Its flavour promotes appetite and complements so many dishes; such as chicken, veal, fish, stuffed tomatoes and, of course, it is the main ingredient in sauce bearnaise and the traditional ingredient of Fines Herbes.
The name, Dracunulus, means ‘little dragon’, which could be the result of the shape of its roots or, most likely,.its fiery flavour. In ancient times the mixed juices of Tarragon and Fennel made a favourite drink for the Kings of India. There is also a story that Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon for her reckless use of Tarragon!

Re: Tarragon Tuesday
Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday!
L.Ann, you're right, it's so good to be back here -I miss all my friends when I can't get on jere!
Helia, did you get to see Baby I during your call? To clean tile grouting I just use bleach spray - I spray it on, leave it to do its job and then just shower it off. I have tried gel,.but I find it less economical and fiddly to use. For stubborn spots on sealant, I spray them.well, and then press on some toilet paper to really keep the spray in place and allow it to really soak in
Gma, that was a very good buy with the shoes.
Laura,. I'm glad.Gma.was able.to help with the crochet. Bears sound scary!
Dogged, I'm glad you arrived safely I hope you have a wonderful time with your DBro.
Today we have a grey start. I would like it to stay dry so I can finish the windows. I also really need to tackle some of my "extra" list (maybe when DH has gone to choral?)

Re: Tarragon Tuesday
Have a great day, everyone!
I'm off to my second cataract surgery this morning.
The difference this time is HRH driving in the dark to this faraway place he's only driven once before. So, we're leaving a little earlier even, to give some cushion of time.
I waited the dishes, though there was no food for me since supper, to make sure all got "in" and set the dishwasher just now, so when we return, he'll have all clean dishes.
I'm already hungry.

Re: Tarragon Tuesday
Good morning Kittykatt! Thanks for the start:)
Tarragon is not something I use often... I don't even think we have any.
All the best for the cataract surgery, Harriet and for the drive.
I must CUOP - I was unaware that Dogged has arrived...
Did a lot of walking last night, did not make it back here.
Today...
I need to pick up the running bibs for the family .(a long drive) I will either do that today or on Thursday.
Woke up with a headache and a sore body... See if things settle after coffee.
Decisions, decisions...
