In addition of appreciating teachers, I also want to thank Twins' Mom, HRH and Harriet for getting us back up and running.

I LOVED my English teachers in high school. Spelling and reading wouldn't have been as wonderful without them!

Today I need to do 3 litter boxes and put away the clean pots/pans and large utensils. Dh wants to go to Walmart.

Right now it's time for dh to have his coffee.

Thinking about Harriet today.

Later...

Coffee and hot tea have been enjoyed together with dh. I also had something to eat.
2 of 3 litter boxes are done.
I'm trying to do quiet/peaceful things until dh turns on the TV or stereo.

Good morning

Cathy - Thank you for the start today.

It is a challenge to pick just one favorite teacher because I had many beloved teachers. I would have to say my 4th grade teacher (Mrs. Rhoades) went WAY above her job description teaching me. When I was in the 4th grade, I was totally confined to bed for 3 months and wasn't allowed to even walk to bathroom 10 feet away. Mrs. Rhoades, a dignified full-blooded Comanche Indian with an imposing presence, took me under her wing and came to my bedroom every school day after classes to teach me, helping me keep up with my classmates. We couldn’t afford to pay her, so DMom made new dresses for Mrs. Rhoades as a thank-you for teaching me. Mrs. Rhoades would choose the fabric and dress pattern she liked, and DMom would sew them. Mrs Rhoades would spend an hour sitting next to my bed teaching me while DMom sat at the sewing machine creating a new wardrobe for her.

Most recently I remember a yt teacher on writing and English with some great advice.
"Edit with 5 - 10 new words. edit 5 times and it will improve."
I luv that and took notes!
it's mostly for students that have English as a 2nd language I think.

PSW has come and gone.

I sanitized all 3 wooden cutting boards this morning. While I still had some lemon juice, I cleaned the top of the fridge.

Taxes have been filed for dh and I and the original paperwork is ready for pick up. Dh said we could go after his shower.

A big pot of my favorite soup has been made and is simmering. Afterwhile I'll portion it into individual servings in mason half pint jars that are equal to about 1 cup. I expect to get 12-14 servings. I keep 2-3 in the refrigerator and freeze the rest so I don't have to think about if they will go bad before I get them all eaten.

I hurt DH feeling this morning without intent. I was backing out of our driveway to take DD14 to school when DH decided he would direct me. He got behind my vehicle and was motioning me to come back as if I was backing up to connect to a trailer hitch. I asked him to please stand in the grass so I don't hit him. He was enthusiastic about his traffic directing effort and I busted that bubble.
I am playing his favorite music (70's rock) and enjoying him guessing who the band is, name of song, etc as each song plays. He hasn't lost this ability, so it is something that he still excels at and gives him feel good vibes.

Aerobic septic system fella just called and is on his way here. He is about 20 miles away so will be here in about 30 minutes. Yesterday I called in a request for help with the sprayers.

I almost had the aerobic system sprayers repaired myself, but was missing installing the orifice inside the sprayer heads. The repair fella showed me step-by-step how to do it next time and how to set the dual sprayers to each spray 180 degrees without crossing the spray pattern of the other sprayer. It was an expensive lesson but now I know.

Our temps for the next 10 days range from 45F to 99F. With that wide range of temperatures there is bound to be that "just right" temp to please everyone. If you don't like the temperature...just wait a few hours and it will change. We are at 67 now and it feels cool. The cool temps means no tornado activity....the hot temp will bust the cap and bring turbulence in the sky.

I created a temporary clothesline so I can hang clothes outside. If i continue to enjoy doing this, I will hire someone to build me a real clothesline.

The mockingbird has built a nest in the asparagus ferns raised bed. I just peeked an the nest has 4 eggs in it .

I had a nap and woke up in time to get the chicken thighs into the oven (shake'n'bake) and I have been chopping veggies to make ramen with veggies. Kind of lacking in the veg department. Carrots, onions green and yellow beans, green peas and red and green peppers.

It just started to rain.

Dh and I picked up our completed tax returns.

We were on the beach today - very nice weather with clear blue sky. I was a little cool (wearing a sweatshirt, had legs wrapped in a beach towel. We had a nice walk on the beach too. We're heading out to dinner tonight instead of eating in.

We should have good weather again tomorrow, later in the week, perhaps some storms. I wouldn't mind staying in and writing.
