Topped up toilet paper
Cooked some fish for Germane. I let the remainder of the kilo that I bought in Quebec thaw slowly in a package of Germane’s pee pads on the trip home, so now I have to get it cooked.
Gave Germane some fish
Apoquel and Benedryl for Germane
Looked up breadmaker recipes
Looked up ingredients
Filled/started breadmaker
Put some of the food from trip away

Good afternoon. Thought I’d pop my head in. I had good intentions of getting back to routines today after a busy weekend but dh called before 5am saying he had been hit by a car so I rushed to the er. He was walking in to work and another employee just ran into him. He is having knee surgery in a couple weeks so of course his OTHER knee is now swollen to the size of a softball along with other scrapes and bruises. Very blessed to have no broken bones and we finally made it home to eat and take a short nap. He’s doing ok now, made an appt for in the morning with his orthopedist as the er just said basically do what you want as far as instructions. I’m not happy with them at all. Wouldn’t even escort him out in a wheelchair until I got insistent. The nurse came in his room and said he was released and was about to trounce out of his room grr. And this is a private hospital known as “the best” in the area. Lots of issues with that whole situation. Not sure if I should reveal all in their questionnaire or not, they sent it right after he got there so idk how they expected me to fill it out when the visit was still in process. Imagine lots of eye rolls here.
I was going to do some stuff here but dd just messaged she’s on her way home with his rx and supper so I’m in a why bother mood now. Maybe later.
I do hope all is well in she world and I may or may not be back today. Dr appt first thing tomorrow so hope to appear and work after that.

I think that I'm pretty much done for the night, but I'm satisfied with my progress. Yes, I haven't unpacked yet, but I am clean, Germane has had an outing, I know that the car is working, the plants are safe from the frost tonight, and I will have homemade bread and vegetarian sauce to eat tomorrow.

Cooked more of the thawed fish. Gave a piece to Germane
Filled the small slow cooker with chickpeas and vegetables in tomato sauce to cook overnight.
