Re: Ta Da's and Tweaks for Tuesday PWYC!!
We had another frost warning over night.
I got up almost 2 hours ago to go for my nightly walk to the washroom... and I've been mostly awake ever since. Just now when I looked outside the sky to the north has a light bluish and orange tint. Not a full sun rise, but the promise of a new day.
I am having some crackers because my stomach is sending signals that I didn't have enough supper last night. I also have a cup of hot tea in front of me.
I have 3 litter boxes to clean today. I also want to go to Costco to pick up a "vat" of potato salad along with at least one box of underwear for dh. Speaking of which, I need to go to the landfill. Dh says he wants to start weeding the raised beds today.

Good morning, Cathy! (It's 10.30 am here, so we'll and truly morning!
) I've taken Freddie for his walk, with no growling or hissing at anyone,
unloaded the DW and now I'm going for my walk. Then I'm hoping to do something in my garden before I start my housework.
I need to tweak my mornings somehow on the days that I'm home -they always seem to get off to a later start than I would like.

Re: Ta Da's and Tweaks for Tuesday PWYC!!
Wow, Cathy, you are up way early. The dog got me up earlier than usual but I was sleeping poorly anyway. My shoulder and neck are stiff and sore on the opposite side today. I'm so glad I have body work scheduled for this a.m. because I am hurting right now. I have laid flat on the floor to try to get things back into place but neck and shoulders are very tight and stuck.
I had phone calls last night after the meeting - didn't get back here until nearly 8 p.m. - they dd called to talk and we caught up. Then dh reminded me to check in with dcousins and I called and talked to my cousin J for awhile. She was in good spirits and had her little dog up in bed with her. She's worried about having to rehome her but for now can get to her back door to let her out. Ds had called me while talking to dcousin because we hadn't told him about dcousin J (somehow I was thinking that dh had probably checked in although I hadn't confirmed that with dh.) So we talked for awhile - he was worried about me. After that I called dfriend M and checked in with her. She's leaving on Thursday for an awards trip for her novel. She helped with Milly the three days that the dog sitter was out all day last week. I accidentally dialed dfriend V then texted her that it was a error - she called back a few minutes later but I wasn't up to talking more.
I have body work at 10 then I'm checking in with ds and will go see dcousin. I think ds will join us for awhile too. Dd wanted to know if she should come home but I told her not to - she's going to Switzerland on Friday - using her state tax refunds - on a trip.
I need to get moving. Dh took out the garbage and went on to his workout.
I also have a Zoom meeting at three, which I may not get to. It's about the Certified genealogist renewal portfolio - the's a second, smaller group later in the week.
Oh, and tonight dh and I are going to a birthday dinner at a restaurant for a dear friend. That's at six. He used to the the manager of the restaurant and it was a favorite of us and dkids for years and years and years. Dh tried to break up with me there when we were dating actually but he got over it. The friend has retired - had a fall and broke a hip and needs a walker now.
More....sorry so long...tomorrow has nothing on the schedule.

Morning early birds!
I’m up too … had my coffee and finished my morning routines. Footprints were done before I went to bed.
Still working on my list from yesterday although I am please with all I accomplished.
Cathy.., my paper tiger is roaring in my office so I shut the door till I can get to it.
Twins… I’ve finally a DAR member. Only took 3.5 years to make it happen
Today Justina comes for 4 hours. I try not to do just errands so today I will go to WM market, come home unload every thing and then spend some time with my friends st the pool
My biopsy came back positive… no surprise to me… so I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday. I expect I’ll end up with at least 12 stitches when all is done. The spot is where my jaw meets my neck

I loaded the truck (including 2 garbage cans full from the garage that have been needing to go for a long time) and gone to the landfill and then on to Costco, getting there just before 9. It's so quiet on a weekday morning!!
Dh is awake for the time being. It's cold here right now, but nice in the sunshine.

Good morning
(((RR))) Hopefully the surgery will be minimum and recovery as easy as possible. POTB for taking good care of yourself even though it isn't pleasant sometimes.
(((Twins))) you and family remain in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult end of life with loved one.
We are starting a 5 day spree of temperatures in the 90's with bright sunshine. One of those days is predicted to be 99 so there is a chance that we hit 100F this week.

Re: Ta Da's and Tweaks for Tuesday PWYC!!
Kittykatt, I smiled to think of Freddie having a calm and collected walk with you this morning, approving of the world.
((Ramblin')), all best wishes to you for an easy operation and fast healing at your jawline. Hugs to you.
Cathy, yes I surely understand because a very similar "early" for me here today, too. All I wanted was a forgettable trip to the bathroom but got back to bed and couldn't stop thinking. Back to bathroom an hour or more later and then came back and looked at the bed. Sigh. Did try again, but was it the right decision? I did get a few more hours but then the day starts later than you'd like.
trissie shared this quote the other day in Fun and Games:
I'm not completely sure about the "certain age" part since it could happen to me a while back, too. But yes, I see that "slowly getting worse" part, lol.
Twins', I hope the bodywork gives you some relief from tightness and pain. Wonderful plans for dd.
Nancy, your iris are lovely, btw. That's so sweet to share with a new neighbor.
Wow, LadyM, you are firmly into a summer weather "spree", yes! Stay shady!
In general, it is Trash and Recyclables day here, most important.
I still have some kitchenwork ahead of me, not much.
And then want to check up on plants planted yesterday, make sure they're okay.
I noticed the floors in mud room and small bathroom need attention.
We expect ds' children may drop by later after school.
Hi to Mystery. How is the bachelorette life going? Is the man okay out there in the wilds?

"Once you hit a certain age life is just a delicate balance of trying to stay awake and trying to fall asleep, while slowly getting worse at both."

Re: Ta Da's and Tweaks for Tuesday PWYC!!
Good afternoon! Unlike some of you, I overslept this morning, but I'm here at my usual noon, so I guess I'm getting back on track. My biggest ta-das thus far are that I actually washed my breakfast dishes instead of rinsing them and leaving them for later, and I did a little time on the treadmill. In my latest update to the cards, I have added a post-breakfast session on the treadmill to the post-dinner session I had already established. (After lunch, I do chair exercises.) I heard somewhere that physical activity after a meal is good for your blood sugar, hence the timing.
I hope all goes well with the surgery, Rose. I'm sure your surgeon will have skilled hands. Congrats on your DAR membership.
Harriet, I think I may have to cook tomorrow. We had our usual Chinese on Sunday, pizza last night, and I think we will have Thai tonight. That will exhaust our usual takeout options (except for fast food). I need to make a grocery list and pick things up, though, before we can do that. Perhaps tomorrow's dinner will be from the grocery store deli. I don't think I'd hear objections to a rotisserie chicken. DH is doing well, from what little I hear from him. He is certainly busy. He had a little time to text before 9 last night and had one more class? study session? after that. (They are outdoors during the days and do the classroom stuff in the evenings. I imagine they will have a campfire a couple of the nights.)
Speaking of my takeout dinners, it is about time for me to have my leftover pizza for lunch. Have a great day, everyone!
