It sounds like things are moving forward, Bama. A video clip should help clarify any questions, I would think.

Yesterday: I had a lovely time with my friends. We hiked for about 2 hours. There's a massive wilderness areas with miles and miles of intersecting trails that connect various parks and meander around numerous small lakes. It's about a 35 minute drive from my house. I didn't realize it was there, and I've lived here for 25 years. I got home around 2:30. I made some progress on payroll - exam prep. Still lots to do -- I'm still behind. I also got some groceries and put a nice meal of fresh GF ravioli, homemade tomato sauce, and green salad on the dinner. Dh and I did the garbage and recycling after dinner.

Today: I'm here a bit early for me. I have a dentist appointment at 8:10 a.m. After that, I'll try to go straight to Kroger to pick up some groceries since I still can't order online from them. I will do a lot of payroll - prep for my class, update gradelink, and make more progress on exam prep. I'll be out 1:15 - 4ish to teach my class as usual. I don't need to stay for the University writing test practice 4-5, apparently. I'd like to go for a short jog, but I'm not sure I can get to that before I need to head otd to payroll. I don't think I'll have time after payroll either as I'll need to cook early. We need to eat dinner early tonight because dh is meeting with a friend at 7 pm.

The weather is strange today. The temperature is slowly declining all day until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. It is currently 49*F (9.4C). There are clouds but the sun is peeking through right now.

Bama that is great workers comp took the case. The can being charge and you just have to give them what they need. All on top of this surgery stuff and his other conditions. Way too much for anyone.

That sounds like a really nice hike helian. I'm glad you got to do that.

I am feeling very much like I have no plan today. Nothing firm on my schedule except for school run and my dental appointment this afternoon. 350. Gonna put that here so I don't forget.

No change on my weekend yet. I was going to talk to my sister and see. She had a headache and was completely off messaging etc. Didn't even see my text till evening. Those are terrible when she gets them. Dad still has not mentioned anything so I'm thinking he's not going. Except he's working on his rv. Only my sister and k are going from here. Now i find out ds is leaving tomorrow morning for rugby zones. He will be gone till Saturday night or Sunday anyway but either dh comes too or he's home all alone. I think I'm just not going. Biggest issue is dad is not on speaking terms with this sister and if he finds out both of us went and I don't even know if they told him then.. well I don't even need to say... if I make sense . I don't want to very badly anyway. I'd like to meet the kids but not the awkward... ugh.. only thing that might change my mind is if I talk to my sister and she says dad's does know and chose not to go. And I can swing something to go with them..

Anyway what do I need to do today. Depends if h is going to want to come this morning. I did get my floors mopped. Need to vacuum thoroughly. Laundry. Some things from the store. Other thorough cleaning. And then it depends if this cloudy overcast turns into rain or not. Gardening or crafts? Weather is the tell all. And if I have strength to weed and dig stuff. I can work freight and merchandising all day but garden tools are another story.

I found it! We did a park theme here September 2025. Most of the parks are different this time around.

How's the unpacking and laundry going, Doggedly? I've read about Churchill, Manitoba. I have a vague memory that that park/ area was mentioned here before. I remember doing a little research on the area because I was rather intrigued. I remember some striking photos and stories.

Laundry, vacation and current, is all sorted and the delicates bagged, and I'm going to sit for a bit. We're into Week 3 of no laundry done because of vacation, so the laundry cart is piled so high that I am not taking it off the floor. If I can't get access the machines on this floor, I will wait.
I'm going to take a break and then I'll work on setting up my computer that my db converted to Linux for me, and making room to be able to set up the drying rack.

helia, how cool to find out about a great new place to go so close to home. I'm glad that yesterday worked out.
The unpacking is pretty much complete. I have put away everything that I can without taking Germane's pen out of use and pulling carts out of the walk in closet.

Oh, a lovely warm long weekend, kitkat. That will make a lot of people happy. I'm sorry about the tough night.

Lauralind, you remind me to be grateful that I only have family members that I like in my life.

Back to laundry I go.Then we go for DH.
