I'm back-
Waving to All Busy SHEs!
trissie we saw Michael.

Walked my pup for about 50 minutes - and, it's a good thing as our weather changed very quickly:
thunderstorms, showers, just as I made it to the market. :( Got nothing, helia...
Did yoga class - I needed it. My hips are stiff...
Did 2X:15 DC, on top of my dresser. (I had a covered box, that contained a bunch of junk...)
Containerized Doggy food.
Made a quick lunch.

Next:
take supplements
make coffee
do work in basement/laundry

Dogged, we will need to start working on the legal stuff. DH agrees that maybe getting a specialized lawyer is a good idea - I mean, I probably don't know all the loopholes that would make the process run smoothly. Yay for the floor staying clean for... how long exactly? :-)
L.Ann, four bushes is a very good start! It's not like you need to get them done overnight!
Geesh, kitkat, i completely forgot I asked you about the movie and was like "they saw Michael? Michael who?" :-)

WTG on walking the dog and yoga, kitkat.

LOL, so far so good with the floors, trissie. Germane has retired to the bathroom to sleep, so the floors are safe for now. I switched to Swiffer mopping long ago, so I can keep this up as long as she can.
WTG on gardening and even getting work in the attic done.

Saturday
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry tshirts and hung more out to dry better
Started putting away dry dishes
Cleaned up after dog
Saw Germane using her pee pad. Went over to praise her.
Grabbed her as she came off of the pee pad and washed her feet thoroughly. Don’t ask.
Cleaned up the area in front of the pee pads.
Picked up three of the pee pads, leaving only one that was face down on the floor.
Came back from the garbage to find Germane on that one face-down pee pad, peeing on the plastic backing
Managed to dump a clean pee pad on top of it before it ran off onto the floor
Picked up the pee pads
Cleaned area around pee pads
Washed the floor
Germane came out and walked everywhere that the floor had been washed.
Germane had no pee pads available, but did not pee on the washed floor. Big win!
Took advantage of the clean floor to lay one of the mats that I bought from the dollar store yesterday. It is springy and cushy and stays in place. Another win. :D
Scrubbed out sink and basin.
Washed dishes.
Brought out dw
Siphoned old water out
Detailed wash of filters
Loaded cutlery holder
Loaded dw with dog dishes and cutlery
Put away dw cart
Went back to washing dishes.
Found the filters in the drying rack.

Trissie an estate lawyer was the best thing we ever did. After dad tried a few things on his own and caused himself unneeded stress. She is specialized in cases like mom. Two doctors on board once we get the neurologist finished with the paperwork we can finalize the whole thing and then he can sell. His will is done and filed. We have poa on him now so that won't happen again.

Phew. Well who knew... the zero turn mower makes a pretty good shrub musher. Mowed places I didn't think it would. Now I can find the plants I want to move. And keep that spot between the trees trimmed and do something with it.

And Casper is a mess now I let him free to play in the creek for a bit till he ran off to the neighbors..

Next lunch and to greenhouse

Done by dh or me

Mowing including some new spots
Trimming
Quick till garden
Hauled away a bunch of brush off the flowerbed and under trees

Hello, everyone!

Trissie, would live in carers be a possible future option for DMIL? Of course it depends how her dementia progresses, and how it affects her. Several older ladies at our church have had dementia. A was happy living in her own world, and was able to stay home for a long time, with help. PK was also happy and was still enjoying her garden right up to the end - she had live in carers and that worked well. However, PS had a tendency to wander ( is it called sundowning?) and would let herself out in the small hours of the morning, not always appropriately clothed and go for a walk round the estate. Fortunately she always seemed to time these excursions with the return of our shift working neighbours, who took her home. It got too much for her DH, even with a carer, and she ended up in a very nice home, where she promptly forgot she had been vegetarian for 60 years! The last was AP, and that was really sad, as the dementia changed her personality, and she became very nasty to her poor DH. She eventually went to a home when her needs became too great to be cared for at home. I do think you're very wise to engage a specialist lawyer, so everything is covered.

FFB, I'm glad you have a lovely time with Daisy and family. The block of butter is for DF E. She forgot to put it on her list before she went shopping, and her helper didn't realise she needed some. Anyway, she has some current loaf and some scones that really need butter to go with them, so she rang yesterday and asked if I would bring her some butter. (She is 100 yo, and her mobility isnt very good, so she can't really just pop to the shops herself.)

Helia, yes, you're right, and MJ is my wonderful handyman. The cupboard was finished some time ago ( that took a couple of visits, as Matilda managed to find her way into the blocked off part, something that didn't occur to either of us! So he nailed on a board over the small gap to stop her!) Today's visit was to put new glass in one of the panes of our patio door. ( The old pane had "blown" so we were getting condensation between the panes. . Bit the frame and the opening / closing mechanism are still in good shape, so we just had the glass replaced, not the frame. )

KitKat, I can totally understand not getting much done while the DGKids are visiting. They're only small for a short time though, so it's nice you're able to spend time with them.

Laura, I'm glad you were able to sort out this weekend. My roses have started flowering now, and they are joining the foxgloves, forget-me-nots and California poppies.

L.Ann, are those bushes the ones you have to lean out of the window to trim? If so, I'm not surprised you're not enthusiastic about the job!

Dogged, artificial greenery sounds the way to go your balcony. Maximum impact, minimal upkeep! :D Matilda's other achievement was somehow getting into the Instagram app on my phone, and selecting a cat video (playing at full volume, of course!) I have No Idea how she managed that!

Today has been successful. MJ has replaced the pane in the patio door, so that's another house job off the list. I managed some time picking up bits in my front garden in between showers. Fred also had another walk (also in between showers!) And I've tackled my to do list. I've finally finished annotating the map, scanned it and attached it to the email, and sent that to SR, with a copy to MM. It's taken several weeks, but it's done! Jude and Matilda have both had their nails cut, a brush and their flea control. And I've done that little sewing job on the neck of my dress. So, individually all small jobs, but they add up. :D

Kitkat nope.. I can't bathe Casper. His samoyed coat is mostly self cleaning it sheds the dirt. I desperately need to book him at the groomer he's showing signs to blow his coat. Then she bathes him and blows him out.

Kittykat that sounds beautiful. So umm I know you're probably done for night now. Tomorrow.. I have a couple planting questions for the resident gardening expert. Can I still plant perrenial flower seeds outside? Delphiniums . Lupins . The like? I should have probably started them in the house a while ago right ? I know your climate is different too. Other question. It still freezes here for a couple weeks. Not every night. Perrenial plants jumped in my tray at the greenhouse. Bee balm. Bleeding heart. A poppy. And black eyed Susan I think. I should probably wait a little longer to put them in the bed? Or will they withstand a little frost before they're rooted? Any specific instructions for success? I remade this bed last summer. Similar to what I had before we built the house. I had all these before. Actually I think with the monks hood and loose strife and lady's mantle. Plus a few annuals... it might be full πŸ˜†

Oh my goodness I am tired tho. And I did not follow flylady instructions. She always said do basic routines and kitchen before outside... haha two meals on the counter and groceries to put away. A combo of music books and plant mess on the table. Washer is running. Dw is running. And I have got to keep going. Water everything I bought. Whack this giant coleus back and make a nice one for outside. Groceries away and clean up the table at least. Oh and finish sweeping. It's 5 already. We ate at almost 4. Something small later.

Oh and I didn't do any music prep yet...

Some of it is guaranteed to run into tomorrow. But outside looks so much better.
