Re: Tiger Shark Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
The tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) is a species of ground shark, and the only extant member of the genus Galeocerdo and family Galeocerdonidae. It is a large predator, with females capable of attaining a length of over 5 m (16 ft 5 in). Populations are found in many tropical and temperate waters, especially around central Pacific islands. Its name derives from the dark stripes down its body, which resemble a tiger's pattern and fade as the shark matures.
The tiger shark is a solitary, mostly nocturnal hunter. It is notable for having the widest food spectrum of all sharks, with a range of prey that includes crustaceans, fish, seals, birds, squid, octopus, sea turtles, sea snakes, dolphins, and even smaller sharks. It also has a reputation as a "garbage eater", consuming a variety of inedible, man-made objects that linger in its stomach. Tiger sharks have only one recorded natural predator, the orca. It is considered a near-threatened species because of finning and fishing by humans.
The tiger shark is second only to the great white in recorded fatal attacks on humans, but these events are still exceedingly rare.

Re: Tiger Shark Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning Trissie and thank you for starting us off. Sharks remind me.od the long hot summer of 1976 when sharks did come.xlose.to.our coastline ( I think they were just basking sharks, but everyone still got out of the water quickly, probably prompted by the film Jaws which had been released here in the UK 6.months earlier!). I've also read the book, and it is different from the film . Not necessarily better, just different!
L.Ann, I'm glad you had a good time.with your friend. How nice that she's moved nearer to you now!
Gma, I hope you feel better today. Is that the end of the dental work for you now?
Today DH is WFH, I'm home and we have rain. So the garden prep for painter J wil have to wait until tomorrow. But that's ok,.now I have my list I can just work through it.
( And if it rains.agsin.Ill.just have to get wet, unless I hear from him to change the the date!) Which reminds.me, I really.need.to see Dnextdoorneighbour D today and let her know what's happening.
Other projects for today, clean the sitting room, hall and stairs . Can I transfer the box of photos await g.acti9n I to the tether nice wicker hamper we were given.ar Christmas? That would look better than a ratty cardboard.h9x!. Also I need to message the health centre - the link for the online asthma review questionnaire isn't working, and I see no reason to trail down there when everything is well under control. 8 also need to think of something.for.suooer (may e leftover spaghetti Bolognese: from Saturday?) and. declutter the."stuff" that's.lying round the kitchen and I was too tired to deal.with last night.

It's rained steadily all morning, except for the brief interlude when I took Freddie for his walk. I've done a couple of little admin jobs and made progress with the housework.

Re: Tiger Shark Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning!
Thanks for the start trissie - Interesting facts about Tiger shark! Hope you had a good weekend?
Plenty to do on your end, Kittykatt!
I did not get here for the past two days as I had my little visitor and she literally kept me going the entire two days:) We got her birthday gift, painted a number of things, coloured to her heart's content, walked to the ice cream store and just enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine on the porch.
She loved the "unstructured-ness" of it all. And, I was thankful I was able to do it.
My ddog adores her and they shared a lot of hugs. (and giggles)
Today, I need to get moving.
DDog is going to play with her friends. I will pick her up early so I can take my other DGD shopping for her birthday gift:)
I must make a soup, get some laundry done, and we'll see how much time is left for other stuff.

Re: Tiger Shark Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Thanks for another interesting marine animal, trissie. I hope payroll is going well.
I have (cardboard) boxes of photos that I should deal with properly at some point, Kitty. They're from my parents' place.
Another hot day here. It's forecast to get up to 85*F (29.4C) with some rain possibly this evening.
Last night after the BS, I got the AR Exam edited and messaged LH about moving our meeting bc I forgot to block my calendar for it, and I got scheduled for a 4th EPT interview this week right on top of my meeting with her. All 4 are Japanese - interesting.
Today, the KS2J get together is happening at S2's place. She's feeding us lunch, but I might eat beforehand. I'm trying to be serious now about losing weight, and it works better for me if I can completely control what I eat. Then, tonight we're hosting MM for dinner! In between those two events, I need to: jog, get groceries, payroll - do the last read through of exams, send that payroll email to CM, get clean sheets on the bed, spiff the living areas and bathroom before MM's arrival - and probably other things too.
Next:
- back exercises
- dress to jog
- jog the hill
Later:
- payroll: last read through of exams
- reclaim kitchen
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- menu plan and grocery list
- Kroger? (Or WF?)
- put food away
- strip MBR bed
- sheets: w d f pa
