Re: Working Wednesday
Hi Costumelady! Thank you for starting us off today!
I have to water all of the inside plants. We had one heck of a thunderstorm last night. Not a lot of thunder and lightning, but the rain was fast and plentiful. Good for the farmers. The windows got opened during the night and just before 5 a.m. the birds outside all started chirping.
I also have some litter boxes to clean. Probably only 1 needs to be deep cleaned. I have introduced a clumping litter in one box, so that just needs to be scooped right now. All 3 cats are currently outside.
I also need to do last night's dishes.

Re: Working Wednesday
I have been on 2 side by side cruises. Back to back are on same ship, side by side are on different ships. We did a transatlantic repositioning for 2 weeks from Miami to Barcelona on Virgin Voyages with stops in Mediera (was supposed to be in Gran Caneria but we got rerouted due to a medical emergency. They airlifted a man off and Mediera was closest, they had to get within 250 miles to bring in a military helicopter and airlift him. I really loved Medier, it is part of Portugal. Then we went to Casablanca, Morocco and saw this huge Mosque. I loved the Mosque but found the city overwhelming. Then Alicante Spain, loved it. Then landed in Barcelona. We spent the.night.in Barcelona and saw their huge Sagrada Familia Basilica and Guell Park. Boarded a RCL ship for 7 days and it was just stop after stop, rather exhausting after such a leisurely 8 sea days in a row and a sea day between each visit. We went Toulon, France; Ajaccio, Corsica, France ; Rome; Naples and Messina in Italy. I was most disappointed in Rome it was the.one I had looked forward to but you take an hour train there and Back and we did HoHo bus but only got glimpses, very crowded and didnt see the inside of anything. The trip became a church/mosque tour. All Catholic Churches and Morroco was all about Mosques. When we landed in Ravenna we didnt get to see this city except from our Balcony but we took shuttle to Bologna.and spend the.day doing a walking.tour. i posted pictures.all over my FB and I believe they are public so if you are my friend or know.my name you can find.me. Friend me but you have to let me know who you are. Pm me here if interested. I did a.lot of erasure editing of extra people in my photos. I did get a bad cold, tested not covid or flu A or B, but I.must say it made flying painful yesterday. Today I am back home. We are good at traveling in we know how to.somewhat avold jet lag. Slept about 5 hours on the 8 hour leg and napped on last hour from Chicago and then took nyquill.for.cold and slept for 7 and woke at normal time. Other.than this.cold.is.taking.it.out of.me and I now.own 3.different Italian labeled otc meds, along with what I packed. My ears are still.somewhat.clogged. it started with a drainage.throat.on left side, then.second day it moved to.right and then to my head and ended in my chest. I wore a.mask on the plan. It got bad the night in Bologna right before we flew. We had 20 hours of travel in airports. Long day.
Todays plan is to unpack dirty.clothes and start wash, sort through mail and packages and pay bills. I did this before we left but it has been 3.5 weeks so time to do it again. I do need to go to school for an end of year group picture at noon. Other than this I.will rest.and.try to clear ears. We leave in about 4.5 weeks for 2 more weeks in England. While I was gone my son planted.our container garden and planted my rose bushes. He went a little overboard. We close on MS future property next Monday. Our house smells bad. I am going to do something to help this. Cleaning lady cleaned the day we left and I need to see when she can come back. Public school ends this Thursday. Crossing Fingers Cameron gets a permanent position next year.
I also said I would go read a test for a student this week so need to check on that. This Sunday is Pentecost so I want to plan a cool Sunday sermon with multiple languages and use some of these amazing church pictures. I will get Gabe to help with this. We will make a simple flame craft too.
It is raining today. We only had rain 2 days of our trip and we took rain jackets so it was fine. I didnt have a lot of internet service so didnt check up much at all. We could only stream during port days with our international plan. We had basic internet for email and calling first 1 weeks and we did have a plan the last week but we were so busy everyday we ate, went to spa and saw cities and slept.
While we were gone garage door broke, AC broke and this morning Water heater is on the fritz. The house is 10 years old and everything is breaking so I will call about water heater this morning too..Husband and middle son took cold.shower. I will go.to Y if not fixed today.
We met so many people who were like permanent cruisers. I.enjoyed my 3 weeks in fact we booked 3 weeks on VV Oct.of 27 but while I want to travel a lot I don 't want.to be a Nomad..i need to come home. Once I get grandkids it will be different too.

Re: Working Wednesday
Post and run probably. I'm meeting some one from tree company at the cemetery today to talk about what needs to come down. That's in the nine to eleven slot - s/he will call first so call could come soon. After that I go to temple to meet with admin, then I've rescheduled my body work for three p.m. So busy day. I have a return at the mall so might try to squeeze that in today also.
Dh is out this p.m. so I have into the evening if needed today.
OMM:
-deposit I couldn't make yesterday, bank closed early for updating
-return at mall?
-HOA checks to write
-put more zinnia seeds in ground (before several days of high rain probability)
-tie up tomato plants, which are thriving
-extra grill drain pans to HOA grill
-what else?
Costume lady, your first cruise sounds wonderful!

Re: Working Wednesday
A bit of a frustration with fb messenger not working the way it has been
prob. going to have to uninstall it & re install update / poo.
Hate it when that has to happen.
PC seems fine with it for some unknown reason.
Any way I'm up have just had 1 c. coffee that's all except a few stretches.
Got mowing on my mind and vac. bedrooms in a bit.
I have an idea for meals today I'll need to get that done before
the outside tasks.
x mix up pizza dough for 5 mini pizzas
x more coffee
x vac. bedrooms
x dishes & kitchen clean up after cooking adventures
----
next
bfast x & lunch
qt journals planning art sketch of the day some done
waiting for meat to thaw so I can cooks that & assemble and precook them x
Have a great day ladies.

Re: Working Wednesday
Good morning
Costume Lady - Welcome home!
DD14 was delivered for the LAST Wednesday school day. I have an alarm set to pick her up from school at 2pm today.
Her friends were texting last night to let her know she had received three awards at the ceremony, which she chose not to attend. DD14 does not want to participate in public recognition for her awards, achievements, or to walk the cap/gown graduation ceremony. It isn't a rebellion type of action, but simply she doesn't want to be in the spotlight. Is it an autism thing? >>>shrugging shoulders<<< I don't know. I only know that DD14 is straight A student, happy and eager for life. I am trying to keep it in perspective. Over the decades of raising children, I've never missed a single ceremony for any of my kids, so this is a new experience for me.
We have another day in the 60F's with no sunshine due to clouds. Brrrr.... After several weeks of warm weather with bright sunshine, I'm NOT a fan of this cool cloudy weather. Ohs well
The garden continues to grow and produce. I am harvesting strawberries & peppers almost every day. Beets are ready to harvest soon. Tomato plants are over waist high with many green tomatoes. There are many types of flowers blooming but my favorite & most showy of all (zinnia) just opened their first 2 blooms. #MyHappyPlace

Re: Working Wednesday
I've cleaned all 3 litter boxes. I also had a fabulous, HOT, shower! Compared to yesterday it feels too cold here today.
Dh has a much better sugar level today. He has also had his coffee for the day.

Re: Working Wednesday
Those 3 things done. Additionally, I continued with tiny actions of decluttering & cleaning in bedroom & library. The dresser is finally completely cleared. A shelf in the library was wiped with damp cloth and 4 books selected to give away. We have a couple older men in town that are avid readers and I suspect they will appreciate receiving these books.
