I think I finally had a lighter day.
I met with the roofer who will be doing both mother's house and dfBS.
dfBS is in the hospital. Her brother is here from out of state. I stopped over at the house. We figured out the house keys, as she never locks her house. He is going to make a key so I can have one in case her house gets locked with all the keys in it! She's been in the hospital for a week now, just yesterday they decided that she has pneumonia so we hope that treating that will help her get better and need less oxygen so she can come home.
We had frost last night. I covered all the baby plants at my house and mother's. Now I have multiple flannel sheets to wash!
I vacuumed my LR, swept the hall and K floors, and washed the K floor on my knees, as it was filthy!
Short visit with df/ neighbor across street
had a nice phone conversation with 1 cousin
checked in on dfEK who had her surgery a week ago; I made her both some chicken and cheese soups as she had no imagination/ creativity for cooking anything tasty for the special diet she is on for 2 weeks after surgery (altered textures). She said what I brought to her was really tasty and was good for her appetite, plus seemed to give her more energy.
Made supper for myself - chicken in air fryer, mashed potatoes, chopped/ pureed broccoli, as I can't chew much following root canal on Monday. My mouth is getting better.
Tomorrow I hope it is warm enough to rake up all the twigs in the yard, so I can mow - we had over an inch of rain and that really stimulated the grass to grow!
Today is dgs birthday, but he is out of town on a mission trip, so we will need to celebrate when he returns in 2 weeks.
Found time to do 2 hours of continuing education online for my next license renewal
