Yesterday, lucylee turned off the sounds on a drive and shared stories with her dgd, of the communities they drove through, about her grandchild's ancestors, about her connection to the world.

Twins' is planning trips for study these days, writing, sharing about what she learns at libraries, in old records, finding the stories and preserving them.

The telling of our stories, and especially speaking up about what might benefit those around us is a very matriarchal (smile) activity, very much a homemaking pursuit. Homemakers provide the continuity, the why-was-it-like-that (why didn't they have running water? how did they manage, etc.) answers, and homemakers tell the reasons for appreciation.

With whom will you share today? Who needs to hear the sharing you can offer?

Today is Pentecost Sunday, celebrated seven weeks after Easter. The concept of accepting the speaking and sharing of everyone in many languages, both men and women, and the expectation of that in the future.

Today is DeeClutter's birthday, too.

Thank you for starting us off today Harriet!!

It's an overcast day here. After a day with too many naps, I had an up and down night. Maybe that was also because I drank soda after supper.

I have a lot of catching up to do in the kitchen and I also have laundry and litter boxes and garbage removal today.

All 3 cats enjoyed their weekly catnip time.
Dh and I had hot beverages and talked about our day.
Bathroom garbage has been emptied.
Back hall and bedroom have been swept and mopped.

Up early… first to walk Coco and then took Amelia out to do her business

Having a puppy reminds me of having a child. Eat, play and nap time. Amelia is sleeping through the night in her kennel. I had to put it in my offices because she sings when I first put her in it.

Right now Amelia is in her teething stage and everything is fair game. She pesters, places and chases Coco at every chance she gets. Thankfully, Coco tolerates her, and when she gets to tired of Amelia, she jumps up on top of the couch because Amelia can’t get her there. They both seem to like each other’s food, which is really weird. I have puppy food for Amelia and regular food for Coco, but they like to switch occasionally.

I have a lot of laundry done and now I need to fold it. The next time that Amelia gets tired and it’s time for her nap, sweetie and I are going to go to PetSmart. I need to buy some food.

Good morning

Today didn't start off normally but here we are 4 hours after I woke up and all seems to be calm and as best as can be.

Teenagers were active last night and awake until 5:30am! DS17 & GF16 had 3 friends with them. An amazing amount of teenage creative and social energy. They told me there was no alcohol or drugs involved and i didn't see any sign of it.

DH didn't wake up his normal self this morning. He lost his memory again. He was fine when he went to bed and nothing happened during the night that I'm aware of. But DH was in his own world when he woke up. He didn't know who I was or where he was. When DH is like this it is as if he is in a trance and he hyperfixates on something. He was focusing on a leather belt...removing the buckle..putting it back...over and over. Then he reached for his pocketknife to use on the leather belt. I managed to get the pocketknife away from him without either of us getting hurt. DH then started focusing on the ceiling fan/light in the bedroom. He started taking the light fixture apart and attempting to pull the whole fixture out of the ceiling. Over and over. I couldn't get him distracted from doing it. At that point, I didn't think I could keep him safe, so I called 911.
The fire department & ambulance quickly arrived and did an assessment of DH. By then DH had stopped hyperfixating on things and was cooperative. They took all his vitals and everything looked good. I had to make a decision whether to take him to ER again or stay home. Four previous trips to the ER have proved that there is nothing that can help him there.....so I choose to keep DH at home. The EMS and fire department agreed with that decision and thought it was the best option. So now I am monitoring DH while letting time pass with hope that he will return to his normal self in a few hours.

I woke at 5 and it was lite out already.
Did Rx & coffee & at journal routine.
Thinking of what I can round up to let go of for the yard sale at the church
next month. Thought of a few items.
Other things are by the steps for when I do go to the basement.

Neighbors behind me said they could use some of the seed packets that I
did not get in the ground so I put them in a hanging flower basket the plastic kind
wave petunias come in, and hung it on the fence for the.

I have several wire decorative baskets and do not use all of them all the time...
so I need to do a rotation thing with a couple of them and the others can go with the other decor items
in my storage zone.

I undecorated some of the things out on the deck.
Less is more! LOL!

Walked ddoggo and back home before 8
Working on getting back to our normal length walks & earlier summer time slot as 83* is our hi today.

RamblinRose thank you for sharing stories about your puppy and the dog friend.

I'm slowly and quietly going around the house doing things. Dishwasher has been loaded and is currently doing her job.
Laundry finally got flipped from the washer to the dryer and the dryer is doing her thing.
I finally packaged up all the buns I got yesterday and now they are in the freezer. I also put the butter in the freezer. It's on sale for $3.99 and that store has a limit of 4 per customer.
I wiped the excess catnip off of the coffee table.

The LadyM household on my mind this morning; good job, LadyM on wise and best decisions, loving care.

Nancy, seed packets are a kind thing to share, and fun to just hang it on the fence as a surprise like that.
I am kinda dumb on Wave baskets, but I just saw an fb in which they were described by someone as coming in pink containers, and they felt as though when there were others sold in pink containers that were NOT really Wave, that it was a bit of a trick, not honest. But then, can a color really be a "trademark". Hmmm... .. I didn't even know about the pink, so... .. It seems to me I've seen the handles looking "wavy", and I guess I thought that was a trademark, but it probably shows I'm out of touch.

My children and grands are always getting a dose of my sharing and speaking-up. I ask all the time questions to remind/spark what they remember about SS lessons, about family, civics, good general wisdom like "what do you do when bitten by a snake?", "why do we never leave styrofoam outdoors?", or recitation, etc. Like lucylee, when we drive by heritage places, I explain a lot that I hope will remain meaningful to them.

Love hearing about the Ramblin' doings with bright houseguest and little Amelia.

DSIL texted me re: their mom.

Plus I put another load into the washer. I hung up what came out of the dryer. Put away all the socks, etc.
Took out the kitchen garbage. Mopped the living room.
All 3 cat litter boxes got deep cleaned.

Now we are watching the Blue Jays.

Cathy - It sounds like your DMIL is receiving great care.

I am playing sudoku to force my mind into logical mode and calm the emotional side.

I love to hear about the furkids in our SHE village.
