Thank you for another interesting artist, trissie. I hope the funeral goes well and you get some good mother son time. Here's to hoping the family lunch is tolerable.
Oh, Freddie. :) Glad everyone is fine. Enjoy time in your garden, Kitty.
L Ann, I have a bank meeting this morning too! WTG on your morning walk.
We are weather twins again, kitkat. A bakery pick up - yum!! Enjoy time with DD. What are you cooking today?

Once I got going, yesterday was back-to-back activities until about 9 pm -- BUT I got everything done that I needed to get done - and nothing more. I never got back here - no time until after 9 pm, and then I was very tired.
- jogged the arb hill (a bit hot - got very sweaty)
- Kroger - groceries to put away
- payroll: long conversation with AC who had to contact several teachers to tell them that either they didn't get a class or they got fewer hours than requested or they have combined classes; the school is struggling under current geopolitical realities
- made marinated veggie salad
- lunch
- unloaded dw and cleaned kitchen
- payroll: course overviews + vocab lists made
- payroll: tweaked slide show for PD today
- payroll: more communications with AC re: above 2 tasks
- finally showered at 5:45 pm
- quick spiff of main bathroom - focus on the mirror
- dinner here at 6:15 - 7 people
- after dinner clean up
- DQ outing (I had a few bites of dh's)
- home; sent info to dbro so he knows where to go for the meeting this a.m.
- emailed cousins J and j (brother and sister) re: our trustee switch
- found and booked a hotel apartment for our weekend getaway
- messages to MZ who is not doing well

Today: I'm up a bit late - was awake for a while around 4 a.m. but I think I slept enough. I will go in to payroll about 10:15. I'll pull the textbooks for the teachers, review units to help 1 teacher, print attendance sheets, go through the slideshow with AC. Then, I'll have the virtual meeting with the bank + lawyer at 11:30 a.m. I'll eat lunch, and then jump on the Prof Dev meetings at 1-3 pm. Other things: A long walk and laundry progress. Dinner will be from the freezer. Lots of other small things to do too.

Next:
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- make the bed

Later:
- some qt
- make a lunch
- update lists
- unload dw
- gather stuff for payroll, meeting, lunch and otd ~ 10
- payroll: pull textbooks for teachers; print out attendance sheets; practice slideshow w/ AC
- 11:30-12:30ish virtual meeting
- 1-2 Prof Dev meeting
- 2-3ish meet with CM; meet with other teachers who want help
- lights w d f pa
- strip guest bed
- sheets w d f pa
- menu plan and groc. list
- walk
- dinner: ______ from freezer, marinated veggies, rice (most likely)
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- update goodreads
- find another fiction book to read
- other things?

TaDas!

Home finally. It's HOT outside! And there was a long-ish walk from the bus stop to the cemetary (the scattering took place in a peace garden at the cemetary - you can do it here either on your own plot or get it done at the peace garden) and a really long one from the cemetary to the restaurant where we went for lunch (it was supposed to be a short one, but a bridge was closed and the detour was long). And I wore my new shoes because I wore a formal black dress and it didn't look good with sandals and I haven't had chance to do some light walking in my new black flats. So, yeah, glad to be sitting for a bit!
Lunch was OK. Survivable, but I don't think I will see these people again. The ship has kinda sailed, I think. I wish my kids had the kind of extended family bond that I witnessed with the other grandkids and their children, but it's not in the cards for us. Oh well...

kittykatt, I think they do not want to scatter the ashes in the mud or risk having snow or frost on the ground! Yikes about a non-cooperative patient!
L.Ann, is it maybe legal at official peace gardens or other specialized places where it's not the family doing it?
kitkat, don't worry, I've not heard of Alma Thomas either, but then again I am not into modern arts much.
helia, you were VERY busy yesterday!

Hi, all. I am up early and dressed waiting for the delivery that yet again claims that it is coming today. Then I sat in front of my computer with my mind wandering and not actually CUOP, as I am overtired from days of interrupted sleep from this. So I'll just jump in and get out of this chair to get something done.

Tuesday
Checked status of delivery: ETA has changed to today
Up and dressed to receive delivery
Gave Germane her heart pill.
Put on a pot of coffee
Dumped the soapy water that the big slow cooker was soaking in and gave it new hot soapy water
Put away dry laundry
Scrubbed out big slow cooker

Hi helia -
I doubt I will have time to cook much... but I'd really like to try Shaved Tofu... Seems easy, and in my head, sounds yummy
WTG on sweaty jog!
Dogged jump right in - I've done it so many times
trissie - I feel sad when I think back of Dkids not really having a relationship with the extended fam... especially, when I see the fun and joy my Dgkids are having with each other. But, there was nothing I could do about it. It was a rather hostile situation.

Did drop off, meds, bread pick up, stopped at juice store, stopped at pet store, got doggie food. Got myself a Starbucks as a reward...

Cleaned drains in 3 bathroom sinks with the Drain Wizard:)
Cleaned toilets, sinks

Off to Garden centre soon.

kitkat, on my father's side of the family it was messed up from the start. My father didn't really have good relationship with his very strict military father (my father was firstborn of four), who considered him a failure for getting kicked out of college (my father was the only one who even had the potential and he messed up). Then my parents divorced and my mother was resentful towards her inlaws for not having talked some sense into their son, and then my father estranged himself from his father and never spoke to him again. So, my mom kinda carried on the relationship to her ex-inlaws for the benefit of her kids, but felt that we weren't as popular (kinda, yeah, the relationship should have been carried and shaped by their son), and dragged me into it, as she always did, so I didn't really feel like I belonged and then I did not belong. And this is the more normal half of my family, which tells you how messed up my family is! I made my therapist blink and just dry swallow this week when even surface skimming over what's going on the other side!
Dogged, crossing my fingers that the Fedex finds you today!

From your lips to FedEx's ears, trissie! It's bringing back memories of the days when we all worked standard office hours and I would be foggy brained and fighting to stay awake by Friday. Shift work was such a gift to me. Oh, well, FedEx is going to have to give up this parcel to me one day or another. And then I will be FREEEEEEEEE
trissie, your parenting is all the more impressive when you consider that you did not get the parenting models to work from.

kitkat, you protected your dkids, and the fact that they willingly spend time with you today tells me that you did a lot right.

The cooking class is on zoom, KitKat. There is a local organization sponsored by the Catholic Church that has a lot of activities for adults with disabilities so it will be with a bunch of her friends. They are making a dessert with ice cream sandwiches, cool whip, caramel sauce and hot fudge. We’ll see if she likes it. She loves the experience but a lot of the food is not to her taste.

Little Bit was sleeping in so she was still sleeping when I got there. But we don’t have a rigid schedule today.
