helia, I think I want to stay away from things at the moment! I should join you in the master bedroom decluttering, but probably not today.
kitkat, Lavinia must have been very efficient with her time, with having 11 kids and being a career painter! Of course she had nannies and housekeepers and all that, but you can's hire somebody for the pregnancies and births!
L.Ann, have fun at the party!
kittykatt, DH is actually the older one, but also the one who left at 18 to study in the big city.
gma, that was a very long day and you are a great friend!
Done with work. Actually pretty productive day, all in all. But now it's time to get going on my stuff!

Morning all. Im lucky atm. Lucky curled up at my side lol. A little Grey ball of cat
.
I'm scheduled late shift today for some reason. Oh well gives me a bit more time here. Maybe I can actually get something done. And some extra qt...
Yesterday was busy at work again. Spent half the day bringing stuff down to fill empty spots. Then got a text from ddil. Could I pick up her mail package for her? I grabbed that and then she and lil j came for a quick visit before supper. That was pretty sweet.
I think I'll get up when the dryer stops and do some routine stuff. Maybe a bit of journal when dh leaves.
Fold laundry Put it all away
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some
Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Declutter shelves on bookshelf and dust it

Re: Lavinia Fontana Friday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning, all. Thank you for starting us off with another talented female artist that we never got to hear about while the male artists were celebrated.
We so seldom get acknowledgement for our efforts in cleaning house, so that's pretty impressive that the gas workers know your house as clean and tidy, Kittykatt. Your efforts clearly have a good effect.
Sorry that they left everything from the cupboard on the floor, and that your DH just left it for you to put back.
I wouldn't mind adding a little beige to my wardrobe, so I will watch for your styles to make their way over here.
That would be so frustrating, trissie, to get the wrong ink not once but twice! I'm sorry for all of the frustration that you are going through with your DH's SIL refusing help for his DM but also refusing to do the work.
(((Gma))) I hope that you get to go to the activities that you want.
Thanks, L.Ann. I hope that you got enough sleep too. Those are a lot of accomplishments for so early in the morning!
WTG for getting on top of the paid subscriptions, helia. It is so easy to overlook them.
We are not weather twins today. It is cool and overcast, and will rain later. I don't mind. It's spring and the trees will no doubt be happy for it.
I am happy to say that Aosom has been very reasonable. They have given me the choice of taking a discount or sending the chair back. I dread trying to stuff the chair back into the box, so I'm going to take the weekend to assemble the chair without that tiny post and test what works and what doesn't and then make my decision. Either way, I will disassemble it after. If I'm keeping it, I will get some liquid cement or equivalent to glue the post back in place, wait for it to cure, and then reassemble it.
Right now, the chair parts and box are taking up all of the space that I would use for the big laundry rack, so I can't do laundry. Germane might lose more space in her pen while I'm working on my chair project. I don't think that she will mind. She now uses her pen only for checking on her kibble and water, and she has an extra water bowl in the kitchen. I have no plans to shut her in her pen. I left her loose in the apartment while I was gallivanting on Wednesday, and she was very good.
I am at the end of Page 1. Time to get up and do stuff.

Re: Lavinia Fontana Friday @ TDD - C&C
Hooray for the weekend, trissie. You are tearing through your To Do list.
I'm glad that you got to visit with your ddil and lil j, Lauralind.
Enjoy your hike, L.Ann.
Friday
Replied to Aosom’s email about the chair
Put away dry dishes from dw
Put away drying rack and drying mat
Started rice for Germane. Took 3 cups of broth from the containers of turkey stew that I made for Germane and 1 cup of water.
Made my own breakfast from my grains mix and vegetables from Germane’s stew that she is snubbing
I feel weirdly tired, which probably means that the air pressure is changing and I'm on the verge of a migraine. So I will listen to what my body is telling me, and go lay down for a while before I cover my bed with chair parts.

Re: Lavinia Fontana Friday @ TDD - C&C
Looking for a book about Lavinia for kitkat, I found this interesting article:
https://www.dailyartmagazine.com/surpri ... a-fontana/
Lavinia Fontana married a fellow artist who was also her father’s student. In a surprisingly modern arrangement, Fontana painted to support the family while her husband assisted in her work – he painted the draperies – and in raising their many children. But those 11 children didn’t stop her from many impressive achievements. In addition to everything else, she got her doctorate from the University of Bologna and she also became a member of the Academy of Rome.
No that's a woman who didn't let anybody stop her!

Re: Lavinia Fontana Friday @ TDD - C&C
lauralind, so what is the thing that everybody is buying in the store now?
I like your Saturday menu, L.Ann, but I don't think the kids would appreciate spicy!
yay for Aosom behaving responsibly, Dogged! I totally get not being overly willing to take your chances with Fedex and preferring to fix it if it's fixable!
kitkat, there's actually quite a few books available on Amazon, just type "Lavinia Fontana" (or if you prefer to support your local bookshops and not a trillionaire, just look it up there and buy it from somebody else
)
Well... it's been a long time, but I was both busy doing stuff and also drinking an iced coffee and reading a magazine and then tanning for a couple minutes on the sunbed by the pool while pondering about all the way in which I am wonderful and all my achievements!
