Kitkat. Cute pet family story. So we just had Stella and Luna when we got Casper. He was what 6 or 7 months old. Outside on the deck and he was barking at something. Went to see and here was this tiny little kitten. Looked just like the stray that was around. She'd had kittens under the house apparently. Dh came out and picked up the kitten. It was super hot and moma couldn't keep up so seems she abandoned a couple. First it was lucky. Next week the black one appeared almost dead. Then 2 more. We found a home for the third one. Nursed them all to health . The 4th one took off with mama before we could get him. So Casper found and probably thinks he saved them. They sleep on top of him Outside and he does really well with them. Took Stella and Luna a couple years to get used to Casper. Then a couple months later mama and the 4th... Smokey.. appeared again. We trapped them both and got them fixed. Smokey was supposed to go to dd and dsil before they were married but that didn't work out. So here we are rescued all of them and now we have 5 and a dog and we have too many but umm we can't get rid of anyone lol... so here we are dealing with cats who fight and argue and misbehave over territory. And we just snuggle em all and spoil em.

Trissie what sells? Mosquito stuff. Ants. Gardening. Everything seasonal . Our busy time.

The cat distribution system found a good home for those cats, Lauralind!
I remember the seasons at Home Depot. Victoria Day weekend was like our Christmas rush. At Christmas, we lounged around and laughed at the other retailers: if they hadn't remodeled their bathroom before December, they weren't going to start just before guests arrive.

I've been working in the kitchen.

Friday
Replied to Aosom’s email about the chair
Put away dry dishes from dw
Put away drying rack and drying mat
Started rice for Germane. Took 3 cups of broth from the containers of turkey stew that I made for Germane and 1 cup of water.
Heart pill for Germane
Made my own breakfast from my grains mix and vegetables from Germane’s stew that she is snubbing
Took a pill and lay down
Made bed
Did Step 3 of chair assembly, leaving off the broken part and cosmetic piece that will be hard to take off later
Encouraged Germane to eat some of her food or kibble or stew broth or stew-flavoured rice
Put on a pot of coffee
Cleaned up after dog
Did assembly steps 4 & 5
Looked up pictures of chair on web site to check that the foot rest is the right way up
Cleaned up after dog
Spot cleaned floor
Did step 6
Examined pictures of complete chair on web site to figure out which arm rest was left and right
Ended up having to guess
Got all of the chair parts connected
Set up boxes around the base so that I could rest the heavy chair that I was trying to set in place
Successfully set it in place
Tested out the chair
Figured out what the post is for: it locks the chair back’s position. It has to be loosened to allow it to recline, but is useful to hold the back in place during normal use. It’s not taking full weight though, so I should be able to glue the post in place and not risk ended up on the floor with a chair on top of me.
Stopped multiple times to offer Germane different foods
Put away the boxes
Cleaned up after dog
CUOP
Took a pill and lay down
Put salmon for the dog and various delicacies for me in the toaster oven
Put away dry dishes
Wiped down counters
Washed some dishes
Set up breadmaker
Filled/started breadmaker
Started a new white flour canister
Went through the slow cooker, stripped the turkey and separated into fridge containers

And here we get both seasons. Both almost as busy. With dead spots in January February and kinda August September ish.

Ooph tired now. I'll probably fall asleep soon as ds27 goes home. He needed a shower. Figure out the weather tomorrow. See what I decide to do.
