Trissie, creamy chicken and rice sounds so good. I’m thinking about making tomato gravy and rice for supper, w link sausage.

Dd1 is going to be working at a kidney care facility, helping patients with their dialysis, and will be going back to school for nursing in the fall.
Dd2 is working at the state archives and hoping to find something permanent in Montgomery, Al. Her major is history and she loves it, would love to land a job in some sort of museum capacity.

And while I’m on family, dh has graduated from walker to cane, so I don’t think we will need a wheelchair after all thank goodness. He’s making good progress although his knee still has a baseball sized lump on the side.

Lann, cooking classes seem to be gaining in popularity.

Hi, all. I'm back. Appointment went fine. I have to write up my notes on the homework he gave me so that I don't forget, and come back to CUOP.

Gave Germane her heart pill.

Dr appointment
Went to Costco, as it is mid-afternoon on a weekday, well before rush hour. The parking lot was completely full. Gave up on Costco.
Went to bank and deposited cheque.
Went home
Germane was sound asleep in the bathroom. Let her sleep.
Threw together a bowl of vegetables and rice.

Dogged, yay for a good appointment. I have homework from mine last week that I need to look at, diet changes. Give up bacon? Never! I’ll live with high cholesterol. Doesn’t it feed the brain anyway?

What is DBD growing in her flower pot, Trissie? Enquiring minds need to know!

I'm glad DS is better, FFB. Did you hunt any dandelions? The soil is soft after the rain, so it makes weed pulling a bit easier.

I'm glad the appointment went well, Dogged.

Helia , the temperature here has dropped right down to 18- 20C (I think that's about 68F), which isorw.c9mfortable.for.w9rk9ng, but I do miss the sun!

KitKat, the guardianship is for the cats in case anything happened to DH and me. Our wills have made provision for them - they would go to Cats' Protection, (with money for their upkeep,) but the Guardianship personalises it, listing each cat, their details, medications etc.

Bama, I'm glad your DDs are doing worthwhile things that they enjoy, and that DH is improving. There's no way I could give up bacon either!

L.Ann, that's very good news about the x-ray.

I cleaned downstairs this afternoon , and was late finishing as during a break I managed to track down (purely by luck!) some recycled glasses made from Plymouth Gin bottles that DH has been looking for, to match the one that he was given and really likes. ( Similar ones are quite widely available, but, of course, it's not the same as the Real Thing.) DH cooked supper while I tackled paperwork. It's not finished, but I've made good progress.

True Confession: I actually don't care for bacon. I'm not sure why; I think I find it too salty - which is strange since I love all sorts of other salty foods. I believe I'm the minority in the western world's population. LOL!

It's 4:30. I did get in a jog and got some groceries from WF. Dh is not going to clay class after all; I think it wasn't clear if there was space for him, so he's jut going to eat at home with me. I think we'll eat on the patio tonight. The weather is so nice!

kittykatt, DBD has one strawberry plant and one cherry tomato and some wilting pansies (I'll replace them with something) in her flower pot. It's on the balcony adjacent to her room, in full sun, and she just loves eating her own fruit and vegetables! Watering them, well, not so much
well I never went to a Sunday school. let alone an English one, Bama, so I wouldn't know the song - but I looked it up and now it's stuck in my head!

Midnight. Not a sound from neither the pavement, nor the house. Last set and then I am really off to the bed, cause the alarm will ring in less than 6 hours

I'm finally back.

We never got to clean the car - line up was too long.
Pup had an hour and 20 minute walk:)
I did a load of laundry.
Went with DD to the city, shopped at a bakery, farmer's market. I got my tests done. We battled traffic but we are back.
I have gorgeous mushrooms to cook tomorrow.
Sorry - really no time to CUOP till the morning.
I need to create supper, both human and canine and take my pup out.

I saw a bacon discussion. For those who can't have it or don't like it:
Tempeh bacon is a nice alternative (and easy to make). Also Coconut bacon. Very tasty.
