Re: White Tea Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
White tea may refer to one of several styles of tea which generally feature young or minimally processed leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant.
Currently there is no generally accepted definition of white tea and very little international agreement on how it can be defined. Some sources use the term to refer tea that is merely dried with no additional processing. Therefore, white tea is very close to the natural state of the tea plant. Other sources use the term to refer to tea made from the buds and immature tea leaves picked shortly before the buds have fully opened and traditionally allowed to wither and dry under the sun, while others include tea buds and very young leaves which have been steamed or fired before drying. Most definitions agree, however, that white tea is not rolled or oxidized, resulting in a flavor characterized as lighter than that of most green or traditional black teas.
In spite of its name, brewed white tea is pale yellow. Its name derives from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which give the plant a whitish appearance. The unopened buds are used for some types of white tea.
It is produced primarily in China, mostly in the Fujian province, but more recently also in Taiwan, Eastern Nepal, Thailand, Galle (Southern Sri Lanka) and northeast India.

Re: White Tea Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
Good morning, Trissie, and thank you for another interesting tea! How lovely for DBD to be able to pick and eat her own strawberries from her balcony!
Congratulations to DS, Laura!
Dogged, how interesting you managed to lure.one of our doctors away. I suspect they may have wanted to get away from all the rain and damp, and enjoy the fresh challenge of your snow!
Today DH goes to the office, I'm at home, and I must get those last few admin jobs ticked off my list. Filing the paperwork.I need to keep would also be good. I would also like a walk and some.garden.time if it doesn't rain - it's cloudy but dry so far!

Re: White Tea Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
It's started raining, or at least "damping", so no outdoor work for me for a while. DH has been launched, and I've gone back to bed where it's warm (it's decidedly chilly today, but I really *dont* want to put the heating on in June!!), and I've composed, checked and sent those 3 short admin related business emails in under 15 minutes. So I can do these things if I put my mind to it!
I've also drafted a gentle, tactful reminder to roofer L, as I haven't heard from him, but I don't.wamt to send that until after 9am, as I use WhatsApp for him. (Also, in the past L has sometimes replied.straigjt away and.asked if he can come and look "right now", so it would help if I was at least dressed when I contact him!)

Re: White Tea Wednesday @ TDD - C&C
The rain has eased, but now it's windy. Not a day to be working up on a roof, but a good day to read customers' messages!
So I've sent another message today and had a reply from L.
I've answered his questions and now I need to wait for a quote.
And I've had a quick tidy upstairs, so that's looking better now.
