Good morning!
trissie thanks for yet another start. Those flowering teas are very pretty:) Beautiful to watch.
Hope you find time for rest. I remember getting so tired that when we went to a (loud) live performance, I fell asleep in the front row... Enjoy the movie!
Kittykatt -- you are so thoughtful. I'd love to have you as a neighbour.
LAnn who will fill the birdfeeder while you are away. Are you counting the days?
Time to get serious around here.
I need to get laundry done, cooking done.
Of course, first thing before things warm up: Doggie walk.

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
My godmother gave me a gift of those flowering teas, along with a clear pot. I did one, the tea was very mild. I want to share the experience with a friend or 2, but have so much to do to have my house ready for company. Don't know when that might happen.
DfBS rejected hospice ideas for her care. Prefers hospital care. Only place she feels safe. I took pictures of her cats with her phone,, brought phone back to her. She almost started to cry. She loves her kitties so much, says that they are her connection to God.
It's 8 am here. I'm in bed and just want to stay here for a while, not do anything. Have to be at the college by 11, as our denomination has a regional meeting of congregations today and tomorrow. I'm a delegate. This is the last time I'll do it: all the materials are digital and I don't like having to sit alone in my office to prepare. Last night I printed the schedule on my own printer so I'd have something tangible to refer to.
My baby grasses need water, so I'll have to get up sometime, but not yet. What a luxury to be lazy for some extra minutes today!

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
I can't believe Little Bit is turning 5 already, L Ann.
Glad you can be lazy for a few minutes, Gma. I took that luxury this morning for myself.
Enjoy walking with the pup, kitkat. I'm going to join dd28 at the dog park here in a few minutes.
I hope you got in a good session in your garden, Kitty! That was a very clever and diplomatic strategy to faciliate your neighbour's agreement.
I hope everyone is healthy in your home, trissie. Enjoy the movie tonight! Dh and I are going to a movie too - but a more childish one. We're going to go see Sheep Detectives.
I'm up very late; slept in and finished a puzzle in bed. There is nothing on my calendar today - or tomorrow.
I might try to go to the weekly 5K run tomorrow morning at 8. I need to jog around then anyway because temps will already be over 70F at 8 a.m. I need to not fritter this time away. I hope to do some payroll and make progress on prepping the house for houseguests.
Next:
- back exercises
- spiff self
- meet dd28 and Fable (and many other friendly canines
) at dog park
Later:
- reclaim kitchen
- make the bed
- update lists

- squeegee and wipe down shower
- errands: buy pillows, return shoes; perhaps find walking shoes?
- lunch
- after lunch clean up
- payroll: GGT emails
- payroll: set up S5 exam checklist
- gym: stair stepper (avoiding this one - but it would be helpful in prep for spending 3 days hiking UP in the Alps)
- refill bird feeder
- finish clearing off back table
- contact Ks re: plans and time to see them next weekend
- pay snail mail bills
- 5 - dinner date with dh
- 6:30 movies!

Well you gotta get in the mood before you start going to those movies with Baby I, helia!
gma, enjoy the slow morning, you deserve it!
kitkat, a year or two ago, I went to see a play called "The House of Bernarda Alba" by Federico García Lorca, which features 8 female characters (Bernarda, her five daughters, her mother and the housekeeper). Combine my poor facial recognition and occasionally succumbing to sleep, I had to have my friend explain the plot to me afterwards!
kittykatt, enjoy the dry weather while it lasts!
L.Ann, a birthday party, how fun!
We need to leave in about 20 minutes, so I will finish my coffee and check if DBD and DS are ready.

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
As a watcher of way more kid movies than I would like Sheep Detectives is not exactly a kids movie. I really liked it. I will be curios as to what you think, helian. It does work for the most part as a family movie but younger kids will miss a lot of what is going on. I may mention the bird feeder to the person watching the dog but they may have to fend for themselves for a bit, KitKat. My neighbor does have several feeders.

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
trissie, I think you needed the dozing more than you needed to watch the play!
I'm finally up. While I was in bed, I did some texting with other friends of dfBS, to communicate some thoughts on her care needs. She's clutching to try to control, and the disease process is beyond control other than more and more oxygen, which has its own consequences. Being legally named - at her request - her medical advocate has also had consequences for my life: taken lots of my time of which I don't have much extra, and use of my nursing knowledge, which I am glad to share!
I suppose I better get dressed, drive by my mother's house. Former tenant said she had ordered a package that didn't come before she left. My accomplishments so far today have been to use my Keurig to brew 1 cup of coffee, make 1 piece of peanut butter toast, and empty my bladder. Yep, just taking it easy this morning. I'll water the baby grasses this evening. It's a cool day, so they won't bake before then.

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, all. It's another beautiful day. I have to keep an eye on the hourly forecast as it might rain later and I have laundry outside.
I had a phone visit with my db yesterday, so I never made it back. We had a good time as always. I'm glad that I held off from trying to repair the chair until I talked to him. He steered me away from making the mistake I was going to make, and advised me on a shortcut that will save me a lot of time and effort.
Today I thought that I would start from Page 2 for a change.
Hi, kitkat. I have drying laundry all around the apartment, so the machines are free for you.
Gma, I hope that you get to enjoy those teas with a df soon.
I haven't heard of Sheep Detectives, helia, but you have me curious.
trissie, I can totally relate. I don't have great facial recognition either. I went through about a decade where too many of the male characters in movies looked like one another, so I kept confusing them. I leaned to British shows at that time, because they seemed to have more variety in noses and hair.
I expect that the birds will be fine and just feed from your neighbours' feeders, L.Ann. Happy birthday to Little Bit!

So I watched the trailer for Sheep detectives and it's not for small kids, so baby I will have to wait
Dogged, I'm so glad you have your brother to talk to, even if only over the phone most of the time!
what will be your quality time, helia?
what is dfBS' prognosis, gma?
L.Ann, I think the birds will be fine! but they may fall out of the habit of visiting your feeder, though.
They do still run the Mandalorian, but not on times that would work for us with the drop-off time. We'll do it tomorrow!

Re: Flowering tea Friday @ TDD - C&C
Starting on Page 1: Thank you for starting us off, trissie. I was surprised to see chrysanthemum included in the drink. The insecticide my apartment building uses between tenants is derived from chrysanthemum. While wet, it is poisonous to dogs, worse for cats and lethal to rabbits. I wonder if we are just not sensitive to it, or if it is a case of one dose is medicine and more is poison.
That is a busy week, trissie. No wonder you feel tired. I hope that the movie is a nice break for you and your dh.
Kittykatt, I'm glad that you have your neighbours onside with the roof repairs.
