It took a while this morning:)
DDog walked REALLY well, for about 1 km. I let my guard down, and she did something she had not done before: try to run after a squirrel. I corrected but my fingers were caught in the process so now I have a badly bruised/swollen finger...
Did my shopping - several stores...
Got a nice amount of sourdough starter from a friend... I can't find the recipe I used a few years back. (Anyone with a reliable link?)

BTW I finished my book - it was great. (The Calamity Club) - I could picture a movie out of it...

What is everyone reading?

Starting on Page 1: Thank you for starting us off, trissie. I was surprised to see chrysanthemum included in the drink. The insecticide my apartment building uses between tenants is derived from chrysanthemum. While wet, it is poisonous to dogs, worse for cats and lethal to rabbits. I wonder if we are just not sensitive to it, or if it is a case of one dose is medicine and more is poison.

That is a busy week, trissie. No wonder you feel tired. I hope that the movie is a nice break for you and your dh.

Coming through. I will not get nearly as much stuff done as I put on my list. It's already 3:45, we're leaving for dinner ~ 5 pm, and I haven't s2s-ed yet. That will be next - after I refill the bird feeder!

Would the farting unicorn help DBD with the movie, trissie? QT = quiet time for me; that means time in personal Bible study and prayer, sometimes journaling. I always use a study book with Qs, so I always write down answers and thoughts - but sometimes I write in my journal in addition. I guess it is also quality time!
Glad your ac is working, Doggedly. We're going to get into the 90s next week.
kitkat, I'm starting "The Mythmakers", a graphic novel biography about CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien. This is kind of a light and faster read (I think) before I dive into something else. You asked me about Nora Ephron earlier. I think I had her mixed up with another writer; I was on a Eudora Welty kick for a while, and I thought Ephron was another Southern Gothic writer I liked at the time - but that wouldn't have been Nora Ephron. I still think I've read her, but I can't identify what book/ piece. I do like Flannery O'Connor a lot, but I discovered her later.

So many todos are going to carry over to tomorrow.

I have washed my hair and am still hungry after breakfast, so I think that I'll have a piece of toast.

kitkat, I blush to say that I have Villain Hitting For Vicious Little Nobodies from the library but have not been reading it. I need to set aside time to enjoy my fancy chair and sit on the balcony while reading.

I think that you are right, L.Ann. I looked it up and it really does look like something that I would enjoy. I will watch for it to hit TV after it is done in the theatres. In the meantime, I have put a hold on the book on which it is based.

Home from a good day at the church convention held at the college.
Lots of good visiting, good singing, thoughtful meditations, good food too
Have to be up EARLY in the morning because we start with worship, and I have been asked to serve as usher.
So I guess I better go to bed soon.
DfBS condition is chronic, progressive. She is responding to the treatment I told them has offered help in the past, she has been transferred to a more general care unit, rather than the ICU step-down. I have told her that she needs to be able to tolerate WALKING to the bathroom and back then recover and maintain reasonable oxygen levels before it is safe to come home. She is getting high dose oral steroids, which seem to be helping. That is not sustainable without significant consequences from THAT medicine, long term. At some point she will be terminal; we don't know when. Probably not in the next month.... But we all know that we will die "sometime," we just aren't desirous of "now."
