I’m winding down mentally, going to break and watch the Michael Jackson doc on Netflix before I get back at it.

You are wise to take a break when you need it, Bama. I went down a rabbit hole about how to access my OneDrive files on the Linux computer until I heard popping sounds from the kitchen and remembered that I had put eggs on to boil. They are now very easy to peel. Practically peeled themselves. Jumped out of their shells, as it were.

I almost went out for that get together. Umm I did. I've been there once and to her neighbors place once. Thought I knew what I was looking for but I didn't find it. Lol. Oh well pretty country drive. I did my grocery trip then. Only a few things at the second store. And I wandered down the hall to fields. Found a few things. And a couple books for dgs and some cute onesies for baby dgd . Scheming a baby shower so im collecting. Came home and did some music. Now I'm trying to motivate myself to keep going. Or I won't get anywhere.

But I just realized I have tomorrow off. Grad is this weekend. 2 of our school employees graduate. Plus a grandkids of the other guy I think. And there's a wedding that 3 of them are invited to. He asked if I could work Saturday.

Means maybe dh can wash my car tomorrow.

Hmm before I like take a nap here I should do something.

Hello all! I'll be social later, like tonight. I'm still in a bit of stress mode. LOL! Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

I jogged this a.m. It was a bit hot but OK; it was fairly cloudy at the beginning and then the sun really came out.

I'm now sitting here dripping sweat - not from jogging but from housework; we've turned the a/c on. All the activity of making beds, vacuuming, and carrying bedding (and chairs) around has made me hot. But, the guest bedroom upstairs is now as ready as it will get. In prepping it, I discovered that Raven (the Cs puppy) had peed on the carpet there in 2 places. Dh later discovered a 3rd place. She's not fully house trained. We'll keep the door to that room closed when she's here from now on. But that added unexpected cleaning duties.

Put on a pot of coffee
Washed floor around pee pads
Washed main areas of kitchen and entrance floor
Tested out the rock function on chair: I have done it in the past but couldn’t work it out today. I kept going straight back to full recline and staying there, which was also nice.
Cleaned up after dog
Put away dry dishes
Swapped out kitchen towels
Prepped vegetables
Started slow cooker
Gave Germane her heart pill
Dog pooped on the floor that had just been washed
Moved to block her from walking through it. Saw her squat
Grabbed dog and did quick march to the clean pee pads waiting for her
Managed to a quick dance step to avoid Germane’s attempt to poop on my foot
Got Germane onto the pee pads to finish what she started
Spot-cleaned floor and cleaned up after Germane
Gave Germane some peanut butter as treat
Came out of kitchen to see perfectly centered pee on pee pad
More peanut butter
Dug through cleaning supplies bin and found treasures
Changed the sponge on the kitchen scrubber
Found a dollar store version and seconded it to patio door duty.
Filled the handle with water and scrubbed the areas to be taped
Figured out how to find my OneDrive files from the Linux computer
Tried to open file in LibreOffice: no go
Looked up how to do it: requires app installation
Looked into installing the utility: Linux is a lot more unpleasant for that than Windows. Dug my way through until I had to choose the details for my computer’s chipset. Will leave it for now.
Rescued the eggs that boiled dry on the stove.
Sat and compared prices on different sites and put together a small order for me to pick up on my way home from the doctor’s tomorrow.

No worries doggedly. I could have turned around and tried again but I was deciding if I wanted to go anyway. Expected to see it easier but I must have missed it. Maybe I came at it it the other way before. She was with a company that sells products to help all kinds of issues. Switched to a different one. Some of that stuff is probably really good and may even help. I have other meds here I don't take. Can't afford to buy something else that will sit in the cupboard.

Dogs. And cats lol. That's why I have to clean so much before company comes. My dog is good for that cats not so much.

That looks quite a bit better. Who knew dusting would help so much lol.

Swept everything. Didn't vacuum yet but I've pulled a few things out for declutter... gotten rid of a few piles of stuff. I should go in a bit and see mom. Missed dad's call a bit ago Maybe he's there. Or maybe he was seeing if I would.

Hope you are all doing well... I'll try to CUOP... but it will take time...

Peonies are something that my dmom could deal with. She had special powers. She loved them. I planted peonies on her grave. They are HUGE.
They don't like to be transplanted: she managed to dig up and plant one in our old neighbour's yard. Thriving.

I must get back in here - too much to do, too little time.
I have DGkids coming for sleepover on Friday ... I have to be ready with activities, food, bedding. The bathroom needs a good cleanup...
I'm sitting here with a heating pad waiting for dinner to do its thing...
then:

take pup out
take out all the stuff that needs to go to car (I got them out for car wash/clean up)
take down remaining items to the basement.

Go to bed on time so I can get an early start tomorrow.

I think dsil will take it in stride, Doggedly. We cleaned it up with Nature's Miracle. We left paper towels down on the damp spots until they dry.
