Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
Yes, keep it simple today! Hoping the tasks aren't onerous, the sun is shining (but not too hot) and your occasions are happy ones! Enjoy the simple life.

Thank you for the perfect start to our day Twins' Mom!!
FrenchFlyBebe posted in the "Husband's Health" thread with some news about her husband MrNiceGuy.
I am heading to Walmart before it gets too crowded. Possibly Costco on the way home.

Re: Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
Good morning
Twins - thank you for the sunny simple start.
I've been outside twice this morning and considered the thought of staying outside for hours because it felt so good. The camping vibe is upon me.
DH has asked me the same question 4 times in the last hour. I answer and we discuss the answer. Then he asks the same question again a few minutes later. Short term memory is definitely happening here.
Project of the day continues with DH sock drawer. I bought DH new socks and underwear yesterday. I decided to start from scratch so I can know exactly how many he is supposed to have (so I know when some are missing). The laundry bags should arrive today. This project is MUCH more than socks and underwear. DH has 8 drawers for his non-hanging clothes - socks, underwear, shorts. sweat pants. These 8 drawers have all turned into junk drawers. I emptied the first drawer yesterday and was immediately overwhelmed with SO MUCH RANDOM STUFF. Flashlight, pens, weights, billfolds, calendars, pistol and ammo, screws, nuts, bolts, hats, tubes of cream, and on and on. My DH is a pack rat. I am going through these things and making decisions on what to do with each item.

My dh is a pack rat too, LadyM, and there's no dementia involved. Drives.me.crazy. to keep grocery store receipts, outdated coupons, envelopes that mail came in, all kinds of odds and ends about.
Dh is at Torah study - last one for this rabbi. Next week we don't have a rabbi, and for the last Sunday this month the new rabbi is here. Although, she's off again the next Sunday, but then back for good - at least for this interim year.
This afternoon we see "Mrs Doubtfire" the Broadway show here, and then dinner out to celebrate A's birthday. Tomorrow is the temple annual meeting.
I've walked ddog two laps - already muggy this morning. There's no breeze and 70% humidity. I'm glad we'll be inside this afternoon.

Re: Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
Sorting and decluttering DH sock drawer continues....2 tubes of silicone, 1 bottle of gorillia glue, 3 knives, garage door opener, 3 knee braces, 3 new winter caps still in plastic wrap, assorted charging cables, Dancing with Wolves DVD case, a dozen or so new packs of lancelets for taking bSugar......
trying to focus on one item....one decision at a time .....and not thinking of what is in the other 7 drawers....
I cooked biscuits and hot links so far this morning. Three types of meat are thawed and ready to cook but I haven't decided on what yet. Surely, I can come up with something other than ANOTHER casserole. Anyone want to share what you are cooking or eating today? I need ideas!
Today temp is headed to 103F (feels like) then we will have a 23 degree drop tomorrow. We might want to wear light jackets tomorrow in the 80F/26C temperatures.
Chuck Berry is filling our home with happy & fast pace music from the 70's.

Re: Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
LadyM by request tonight's meal will be an Italian dish. Italian sausages with sauteed onions and red peppers and boiled potatoes. These 4 things go into a baking dish along with Italian spices and get cooked together in the oven. Tonight I think I will put the dish in the BBQ over a low flame with foil on top.
I am back from Walmart with a truck full of stuff.
