Thanks, Bama. I'm just doing clothes laundry for tonight, as I missed laundry last week, but I can tackle the bed tomorrow.
I'm sorry that the hair colour didn't work. That must be frustrating. If you tried a non-peroxide/non-bleach blonde cover for white hair, would that give you nice streaks in your hair, as it wouldn't lighten your coloured hair?

Thank you, helia. It sounds like your DD has done an admirable job of navigating the tricky relationship between who she is and the expectations of her church.
I can picture how crushingly disappointing it must have been to give up your window of peace and solitude that you had been counting on. But, as you say, the company wasn't to know that and they were just trying to solve a problem.

I have the delicates back, and a load in the dryer. Progress!

That's very interesting helian. I would not have been a happy camper either. But I did the same thing working last Saturday. To help out with a crazy weekend. Now had we known the ending thr one young girl ended up not showing up at the wedding so she could have worked šŸ™ƒ That's a very big celebration.

Oh dear Bama all that work and it just washed out. Is there a different kind of dye that would stay on your hair I wonder šŸ¤”

Doggedly good job on the laundry. So good you found the cards.

Done today.. successful school meeting things couldn't have turned out better. Ds is kinda off their list of needing help cause he doesn't want it and doing well without. They actually think it's a really good idea half online half in class. I can set that all up in September. I'm relieved they aren't keeping me from making the change. She emailed me the scanned files of his iep so the online teacher could see it. Then I sent an email introducing ds to his summer teacher and sent the files. One more day of 2 exams tomorrow and he's done gradec10.

Bible study was good. Physio was good. Wasn't long after that I picked up ds finished some of my art projects. Decided with my new yarn what I am doing for dd baby blanket. And I moved a shelf for a toy shelf and made room for the ac. Reasonable productive day.

Oh, my, 4 pages have gone by. And I can choose to read them all or just write this and go to bed... (where's the yawn, tired emoji?) I couldn't get to sleep las night, was still up at 0330, stewing and fretting, plus digesting my food! We had supper at the dinner theater (duh!) plus a rather heavy dessert at intermission.
Got up early, had a great helpful conversation with my college roommate (also a nurse) who has much experience with helping people decide for hospice. Went to see dfBS, and helped her make, and feel confident with, the decision to include hospice for her care. That is just one step - there will be transportation to the new facility (nursing home) either by a medical transport bus or by me. I will do it if they think it is safe, and will follow the transport bus if they think that is better.
just ahd a call from dfBS; she needed some "good night" reassurance.
Tha twas my morning.
Then dsis3, hubby and I went to viist dfCS, 90 minutes away, had a great lunch she prepared and great visit.
Then to the Bible camp Isupport for their gratitude supper and worship
Then home.
And time to go to bed.
I do recognize that I am not the only one "busy." Trissie has the difficulties of mil; helia has had so much company, I just can't keep up with all of it! others have their parents, spouses, kids to care for in special ways.
So it's time for me to go to bed, as dfBS wants me there in the morning for rounds.
I am grateful for MY own helath, that I ahve the energy to care for her as well.
But I need to get some sleep if that is going to happen.

That was a very good day, Lauralind. I'm glad that school is working out for your DS. And WTG on getting the AC set up.

You certainly do have a busy life helping people, Gma, but I am glad to see you taking time to enjoy with dfamily and dfriends.

I have the laundry back in the apartment. I have put the laundry cart and dw cart back in the walk-in closet, so I can now start moving the other carts back in front of it, so that I will have room to set up the drying rack.

Wednesday
Spiffed self
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after Germane
Got handtruck out of the dog pen and attached a bag of bungy cords, ready for the delivery
Tested zoom on tablet: working
Joined zoom presentation
Received parcel. The FedEx driver was able to call me using the building’s call box, and when I went to release the door it actually worked. I was about to go down with the handtruck, but he met me in the hallway and brought it right to my door. He couldn’t have been nicer about it. Such a difference from my last FedEx delivery!
Got it into the apartment.
Got a call from the lobby again: WalMart with Germane’s pee pads. Door release did not work.
Went to the lobby with the hand truck and brought them up.
Germane came to life and interested in food.
Gave her dog food one spoonful at a time.
Made her a saucer of rice and broth.
Made myself a bowl of rice and vegetables
Searched for login to apartment’s online portal
Logged in and checked it out
Tried to organize my day
Cooked a piece of salmon for Germane
Decided to leave meeting with the rep for the apartment portal until tomorrow
Walked Germane
Joined neighbours for a chat and walked home
Put on a pot of coffee
Moved carts and the mattress topper box into the area that the big drying rack will need
Got the laundry cart out of walk-in closet
Bagged the delicates to be included
Searched for laundry card: cannot find the tiny attache case where it is normally kept
Searched for the tiny attache case
Concluded that I left it in the library when I took out my hold
Checked library web site for phone number for the branch: no branch numbers
Drove to library
Retrieved my little attache case. It must have made an impression, as the librarian recognized immediately what I was talking about.
Started two loads of laundry
Came up with a strategy for the mattress topper: I am going to strip the bed, take out the topper and put it on the bed, strip off the washable cover, put a duvet cover over the mattress topper, remake the bed temporarily until the topper’s cover can be washed and finish drying
Flipped laundry
Hung tshirts
Brought dry laundry back
