Thursday PWYC
What are you planning to do today? Harriet has already planned on doing some laundry!

Re: Thursday PWYC
Hi!
I hadn't planned on being up as early as I was. I've told dh many times he can wake me up if he needs me for anything. This morning he had a sugar crash and his vision was playing up again. He says he's seeing those "laugh In" flowers but they looks like starbursts. He wanted me to help him get to the bathroom around 5:30ish. Of course if we were up, the cats needed their treats. Nope. I won't give them treats before 6 a.m.
I got the compost, garbage and recycling to the end of the driveway. Came in and dh was back in bed but asked for assistance to get back to the bathroom. He had already had a small package of candy that is actually recommended by the drug company if a sugar crash occurs. We ran out of orange juice, so dh had some of my soda. Sugar is going back up, which is good. He also had a banana and some water. Now he is sleeping again. I have already checked his sugar level 4 or 5 times. I plan on calling the doctor's office today to ask for a phone call appointment.
It poured rain overnight.
Later...
All 3 litter boxes are done. Kitchen garbage is out. Dh has had his morning meds. No coffee today. Sugar is now in "the zone". Not too low and not too high.
I've done some kitchen stuff.

Re: Thursday PWYC
I went to bed on time had been doing yd work after dinner and the dust / smoke was b bothering my eyes.
Woke up early no surprise it was not even lite out birds were just starting to sing.
Did my journals / planning still to do.
Bagged up more stuff I'd raked up last evening.
Put branches in the plant cage for fall fire pit fun.
Watered in back / front is going now.
Thinned apples to put out for deer in the field for our walk did that.
I need to turn that off.
Waving.

In line to enter distillery place in Louisville soda can buy two bundles of bourbon. One purchased by him, one by me. That’s why I’m here, lol. I’ve agreed to do this for the morning, maybe longer today. We’ll see.

Re: Thursday PWYC
What a productive early morning Cathy. Glad dh bloodsugar is managed. Does he have diabetes?
I am sitting here with hair color in and a collagen mask on my face, I hope the boys don't come to the main floor until 10 when I shower I am frightening. I have an eyebrow wax and haircut at 10:30 so will go in with wet hair freshly purpled (I have purple hair). Dh got his hair cut yesterday. We fly out tonight for England, my sister flew there this morning to visit with 2 friends for 2 days to see London before we meet in Worcester Marina with all 6 of us to canal boat for the week to Stratford upon Avon. We get in in the morning and are staying with some different friends near London for the night. They are keeping us the first and last night of our trip. After a week on the canal, dh and I will venture to Scotland for 3 nights in 2 different places, then a night near Derbyshire for our couple photoshoot and then back to our friends in London, we are going to the theater that night to see Equis not sure I spelled that correctly. Then fly home on July 4. Our sons are manning the house just as they did when we were on our 3 weeks of cruise to other parts of Europe. I think they also like having the house to themselves. I just hope this time everything doesn't break. Last time, our garage door mechanism broke and had to be replaced, our air conditioner went out and had to be fixed and the water heater broke the day we got home and had to be replaced and my dh had to get his rotors and breaks replaced too. That was like a 10K hit on budget. Our house is 11 years old and things will start needed replaced I realize but all at the same time?
I am mostly packed, need to put final touches on. DH got up at 4:15 and went in to work early so he can leave early and get home. We need to head to the airport by about 4 to 4:30 for an international flight to Dublin then to London. Must make sure I wear my compression socks for the flight. I always wear a hoodie as well over a tshirt - keeps me warm and I have a place to put things. I got the bills paid or set up to pay while we are gone.
After my hair appointment I need to shop for my shut in friend to stock her up before I leave and pick up my 2 new prescriptions. I am seeing a Functional Medicine doctor, she added an iron supplement, a vaginal estrogen cream and a progesterone bio identical pill to supplement my hormones and try to bring down my testosterone and estrogen pellet dose as she is not happy with my blood levels. Dh and I both take several prescriptions and numerous supplements for things. She wants the progesterone pill to be taken on an empty stomach away from other pills. I diligently take morning and evening pills - I am going to have to train myself to take my progesterone when I get up at 4 or 5 to wee. She suggested before bed but I rarely eat 2 hours before sleeping we often eat very late so my stomach is not empty at night. I also have to get more protein in my diet, so back to the high protein smoothies for breakfast and she said to carry water with me and drink all day. I am terrible at water. I really have to force fluids.
We have no other trips planned this year. We just did a family reunion weekend at the beach in North Carolina this past weekend for 4 nights. We will go to Williamsburg to FIL for Christmas and we may do a weekend in Chicago or somewhere in the fall. Next year we are traveling a lot, it is DH first year after retirement. We have 3 big international trips planned. This has been our plan for decades to when we both retire to spend the first year traveling a ton. So looking forward to next year. Off to rinse out the purple and head out for haircut.

Good morning
What fun to see CI from our traveling SHE friends. I love to hear about your adventures.
I'm enjoying having time to do extra things that I have put off forever. This is the summer break that I have been looking forward to. DS17 commented yesterday that I am on an organization binge. Yes, I am and am enjoying being able to do it.
Today's project continues with desk theme declutter focus. I have gathered over a dozen USB storage drives in various sizes and shapes plus another dozen or so SD & MicroSD storage cards. OH My. Memories of what digital life use to look like. I need to go through each one to see what is on them especially photos, videos and files that I want to keep.

Good morning, everyone!
Hoping Cathy's dh feels better. The description of the flowers is completely clear/translatable and a little funny, although I know you are worried. Does he have an eye doctor? They would probably ask if there are any flashes. It does sound bs related, since about eyes.
Best traveling wishes for Costumelady and Twins' Mom. Be safe!
Yep, Nancy, hydration reminders for sure. We are headed into those months. (already there)

Okay, Mystery, I have finally posted my last mini-adventures in one-at-a-time orphan-flower rescuing in the Garden topic.
LadyM, how many flowers were you estimating you have volunteering and from seed around your garden now? We are opposites right now, lol.
We have such wind here. Sweet potato vines taking tumbles and could almost need more tying, staking.
The motion-sensor camera at HRH's desk is going off over and over. It makes for a kind of nervous day to have so much wind outside, the trees blowing back and forth. I hope we don't have a problem from this.
Nancy, I know you are thinking a little wind is nothing. I hope the smoke leaves your eyes alone soon and distant fires are calmed with some rain, maybe?
The kiwis have been a huge hit here, reasonably priced. Some places' crops must have come into season just now and/or have had a really good growing season. They are very good for the tummy or digestive flora. When refrigerated, they are better than a popsicle.

Re: Thursday PWYC
too many to count. Guessament would be around 800-1000 flowers blooming in the raised bed garden now. The vegetables are having to fight the flowers for space. The volunteer tomato plants are showing their spunk by using the 3' tall zinna plants as a trellis. It is the opposite of square foot garden that is neatly planted. I've never grown like this before with so many flowers in the vegetable beds. I'm in learning mode.....but you don't see me pulling up any of the beautiful flowers to make room for more vegetables....yet.LadyM, how many flowers were you estimating you have volunteering and from seed around your garden now?
Lunch is a smorgasbord of choices..... fish nuggets, mini tacos, loaded baked potatoes, hot links, soup, egg salad, tuna salad, mac & cheese, rotisserie chicken. Take your pick...or fix something else.

Re: Thursday PWYC
My eyes were bothered by the seeds I was transferring from one can to the big one to go out next week.
Garden dust, corn pollen, Vetch, etc. . .
Today I was out again doing some rose pruning and clean up in back yard.
Also got the 3 bag quota done of stuff to go in the can later done for today.
in the wagons to go out front behind the full trailer on my next get up and stretch rotation.
Chatted with neighbor gals one's h. is a retire pastor the one that put the lock on MY gate!
He seems nice these days.
Pleasant weather this morning.
One more bucket / tote of stuff to bag up maybe tomorrow morning,
Did finish a chapter that I'm reading.
Need to write my done stuff in my planner in a bit.
Doggo took her fav. toy out to the deck.
