You've been busy, Dogged!
helia, we're laundry twins today - I did a huge load of darks today! J12yo must be really hard working to earn such a good place! There's academic scholarships in her future!
kittykatt, after this week, I definitely think available parts for a car is a big thing!

You see, it took almost two weeks for the parts for my van to arrive (apparently, if it's too hot, the warehouses in Hungary just close and that's it, your parts will not come! Anyway, they got them yesterday and I got the call today that my car was done, so I left work early and returned the rental and picked up my car. Now it will take some time to get used to it again! :-)

TaDas
- morning routine
- delay start load of darks
- day at work
- pick up my car
- home, finally!

ToDos
- midday routine
- flip laundry to dryer + deliver yesterday's laundry
- start dinner

Good afternoon Ladies!
Jumping in ... Must get lots done. Last night did not work out as planned: we had a power failure - restored quickly. DD, however, did not get her power back so she came over with DGD and Ddog for the night. We walked the 2 dogs b4 bedtime as I did not want bunny issues in the backyard... Well... My pup retired to crate. Her doggie is used to roaming free on the main floor - we let her. No sooner did I get to bed, the barking started. I moved to the couch so Dkids could sleep...
Every time I turned: Dshepherd came to check on me- gave me a face wash, foot wash, then did the "rounds": checked front door, back door, my dpup (who only groaned or moaned by then...) then retired between me and the water dish. This went on repeat until I could take no more and got up. (total sleep: 3 hrs and 50 min.)
The morning went with zoomies (indoors and out...) Interestingly, mine was the calm pup... (I think she was exhausted)
DD walked her pup home and I did clean up.
We were gone for the morning, I'm just back, doing food prep, laundry, cleaning.
Soup ing. prep'd -
Next:
start a lol
start soup
parboil small pot.

tiny nap?

What an awful night for you kitkat. Try and get an early night tonight. I like soup, when it is cooking it is almost done apart from toast at the end. I make a lentil and veg soup (whatever veg in fridge or garden), Usually on a Sunday. used to dislike the texture of lentil soup until my turkish ddil told me to blend the lentils when they are cooked - doh, of course.

Glad you have your van repaired trissie.

Thank, you, trissie, Any reason to be kept waiting for a car repair is frustrating.
I know what you mean. After I return the rental cars, I miss the back up camera and my brake pedal feels weird.

Oh, dear, kitkat. I'll bet that your DD's ddog is out like a light now, after patrolling your house all night! What an unsettled night for you.

Your soup sounds delicious and very practical, vergerswife.

It's good to veg sometimes when you work as hard as you do, L.Ann.

I keep doing little things but it doesn't look like much on my list.

Tuesday
Washed floor near pee pads
Heart pill and peanut butter for Germane
Lowered the temperature for the air conditioner (so that it will run more) to dry out the air
Washed floor for kitchen and entrance
Searched for the refill bottle for liquid soap.
Found money. Replenished my purse money spent at dachshund rescue fundraiser
Found VIM. Put the bottle out ready to replace when the other one runs out.
Found the liquid soap bottle.
Refilled the soap dispenser.
Put some water in the refill bottle and shook it so that I can use up the soap left in it.
Changed out kitchen cloths
Wiped down slow cooker and put it away
Put on pot of rice for Germane to have with her duck broth
Dropped my good computer mouse on the floor one time too many. Back to my reluctant, button presses are suggestions to be taken into consideration, mouse.
Researched sources of cheap computer mice close by
Put away dry dishes. Most of the cutlery went back into the rewash pile.
Started putting groceries away. Ran out of Away.
Went through bins looking for an open rice bag.
Filled a new rice canister

I'll bet that you are happy to have that mammogram over with, L.Ann. I hope that the rest of your day is more pleasant.

Germane hasn't made an appearance since her heart pill and peanut butter this morning, and the rain has let up so I think that it's time to wake her up to feed her, and take her out for a carry.

Hello everyone!

Helia, J12yo is extremely talented! It happened accidentally,.as I was joining in the
neighbourhood hunt for a missing cat, ( not one of ours, thank goodness!) but it was definitely a walk! Oh, and latermin, DNeighbour L knocked on our door to say the cat had been found alive and well. :D

L.Ann,.I hope you enjoyed breakfast with your friends.

Vergers, how nice to "see" you again. I must remember that tip to blend lentils in soup.

Sorry about the bad night, KitKat, but it sounded as though DPup's behaviour was exemplary throughout.

Trissie, that is a long time to wait for car parts!

Dogged, ended up with 5 quotes for the car. The cheapest two were "estimates" so they were out straightaway..(It's a standard mass produced car with standard parts. It's not as though I'm asking them to give Freddie a dental, when no one knows what they're going to find in advance! ) So, we're going with PS's garage. He was next cheapest , though still more than I had hoped to pay, but that's life!

We had just enough rain today to dampen the dust, but I can see I'm going to have to water tomorrow. Housework is done,. despite numerous interruptions, and I've had some lap time with Matilda.
