I'm glad the cat was found, Kitty.
Those little tasks add up, Doggedly.
What movie did you see, L Ann? Nice to have the mammogram behind you.
Hi Vergers! I like lentils in soup, blended or not.
Oh my, kitkat, what a night. I hope you can get a lot of sleep tonight.
Glad you got your van fixed, trissie.

Re: Teal Duck Tuesday
The weather outside is unbearable - unbreathable... Took Dpup out for 5 minutes. That was MORE than enough.
Very humid and hot. 95 F forecasted for tomorrow.
helia looks like you are sharing our weather - be careful out there.
Kittykatt Dpup really surprised me. She listened, tried to get out of wrestling matches (the house is not meant for that), returned to my side. It downed on me: so that's what training does... She is still exhausted although we both had a little nap.
Hope all goes well with the car.
Dogged - you know it: DD's pup walked directly into her crate.
Getting used to new models of cars takes a long time...
Vergerswife
I have not seen you forever! How have you been.
LAnn are you back to normal now after the trip?
Achievements:
soup - a good broccoli soup with leeks, fresh garlic and scapes:) - enough to freeze some
2 lol
pup out/in/little snack
little nap/coffee.
Next:
clean crate after frozen treat
D2Ex
adv lol
go to gym
then
make stirfry
see if we can walk a little
feed pup
go to bed!

Re: Teal Duck Tuesday
I am okay, KitKat, but not 100%. I didn’t sleep great last night but I don’t sleep well once or twice a week anyway so it’s hard to blame it on the travel. I don’t mind the mammogram or the physical or the bloodwork but trying to fit in three early morning appointments so close to vacation was definitely a stretch.

Re: Teal Duck Tuesday
Hi, all. I took Germane out for her carry and took her a lot further than we normally go. The weather was nice while we were out, just humid, and the forecast for tomorrow is appalling, so I knew that we wouldn't be walking tomorrow. So I took the chance that the rain would hold off and brought her into the park for a walk. It was beautiful. The flowers are all in bloom, the trees have taken root and don't look so spindly, the ducks were out on the pond. We came back tired, but it was worth it. We are getting all of the lightening and thunder now that we are safe home.
Tomorrow's forecast is for humidex of 47 C. That's 116 F. It would be bad at any time, but it's our national holiday. There are non-stop activities downtown, culminating in the fireworks at night. People stay for hours. There will be air conditioned restaurants open, but nowhere near enough for all of the crowds to cool down. And normally they would open cooling centres for the homeless people, but it's a statutory holiday so I don't know if they have the staff to do it.
You've got a mechanic that you trust, and reassurance that his costs are in line with the industry, so you've done your due diligence, Kittykatt.
It looks like you're in the heat too, helia. I hope that your tomorrow is better than ours.
kitktat, that sounds dreadful. I think that tomorrow will be a good day to stay inside.
That would finish me off, L.Ann, as I am so not a morning person.
Once the rain got going, it really got into it. We're having quite the show tonight.
Tuesday
Washed floor near pee pads
Heart pill and peanut butter for Germane
Lowered the temperature for the air conditioner (so that it will run more) to dry out the air
Washed floor for kitchen and entrance
Searched for the refill bottle for liquid soap.
Found money. Replenished my purse money spent at dachshund rescue fundraiser
Found VIM. Put the bottle out ready to replace when the other one runs out.
Found the liquid soap bottle.
Refilled the soap dispenser.
Put some water in the refill bottle and shook it so that I can use up the soap left in it.
Changed out kitchen cloths
Wiped down slow cooker and put it away
Put on pot of rice for Germane to have with her duck broth
Dropped my good computer mouse on the floor one time too many. Back to my reluctant, button presses are suggestions to be taken into consideration, mouse.
Researched sources of cheap computer mice close by
Put away dry dishes. Most of the cutlery went back into the rewash pile.
Started putting groceries away. Ran out of Away.
Went through bins looking for an open rice bag.
Filled a new rice canister
Cleaned up after dog
Spot-cleaned floor
Tidied entrance
Checked laundry and put away dry
Found a home for the mending plates
Made up a plate of duck, rice, broth and vegetables for Germane
Spiffed myself
Cleaned up after dog
Took Germane for a nice walk in the park
Pills and cheese for Germane
