LAnn - I love mushrooms... and Shepherd's pie...

We are sitting on the porch with Dpup and DGD. Pure bliss. She is doing watercolour... If I have no high expectations to get things done in the house, this works. :D

Hello, Helia, KitKat and L.Ann!

Helia, what a lovely memory of the Magic Flute! I hope the tutoring goes well. I didn't get my
walk this morning, as by the time I'd taken Freddie out and done a few bits and pieces, it was already getting hot. It's still light and has cooled down significantly,.so I'll see if I can walk before bed.

KitKat, we reached 30C today, but humidity is low, so it's much more comfortable than last month. Watercolours with DGD sound lovely!

L.Ann,.Frozen sounds great fun for everyone!

I've had a good session in my front garden, which is the shade for part of the morning. Housework is done for today, and Matilda is know on my lap.

Hi, all. I am back after my doctor's appointment and an afternoon of errands. It's a normal hot summer day (Humidex of 33 C) but my car has no air conditioning so I spent the afternoon getting into and out of my little solar oven. So I'm just going to greet you and cheer you on, and wander off for a rest. :)

Monday
Put away dry dishes
Brought out/checked box of donations
Showered/washed hair
Fresh water for dog
Food and treats for dog
Brought donations to car
Checked car, because it was acting up
Went to Dr.’s office
Went to Canadian Tire to buy a scale
Went to St Vincent de Paul and dropped off donations
Went to bank and deposited OAS cheque–yay!
Drove home
Brought shopping up
Treats for Germane
Got a snack

Another week of education! Thanks for starting us off, kittykatt.
helia, that's a great story about the Magic Flute.
I know almost nothing about operas, other than a movie theater in city 15 miles away shows Metropolitan Opera performances on screen on a regular basis, and I have musically knowledgeable and cultured friends who go often. I went once, as a guest as a birthday present... Remembering, having time to sit for 2-3 hours, is far from my activity list, but learning is always on my wishlist.

Wonderful 4 hour visit with my dcousins! Dishes are gone, they are happy. They happily took a Santa his mother had given my mother. I gave them a couple mugs as well. After my siblings and I have gone through things, I will have a cousins' open house: please come and take anything that will give you a happy memory of your aunt. Whenever that will be....

I had a good night sleep, it's a hot summer day. My AC is running.
We had a very good lunch, at Italian restaurant, so I don't need much for supper. But probably some protein, as there was plenty of pasta.
And veggies were added to one of the fettuccini alfredo dishes. We ordered 3 items, then divided each into 3 portions, so we had 'Potluck" at the restaurant - That was so fun! I have a small can of salmon, that might be enough for supper. Along with plenty to drink on this hot day.

Quick hello. Back from England/Scotland. We had a flight cancellation which extended us by a day in Philadelphia yesterday. Home late last night and went to bed, got up at 3 a.m. ( 8 am England/body clock time) and took C to airport as he was flying out to San Francisco for a wedding and a week with friends. It is now 7:15 local and I am falling asleep, I feel that 3 am wake up.

Gma - how is the house clearing coming along?

Kittykat (I had to laugh at the acronym WFH) My tired brain filled in What the F happened instead of work from home for a moment. LOL

I have seen the Magic Flute, it was lovely for an opera.

I will catch up more tomorrow - I am super sleepy.
