No bandwidth to look in, I've been out to see my massage therapist for body work. I'm upstairs doing HOA checks now but need to go down to "talk about taking L to Talbots."

Pouting here. :(
Sooooo skippable detour post for therapy

We were reimbursed for overpayment of medical charges in HRH's name, from years back when we had regular insurance, and this happened through a class action suit we did not instigate, did not know about, were just one of many households reimbursed by surprise. They did it by sending everyone prepaid debit cards with many restrictions, for whatever reason that makes it more advantageous to them.  Probably hoping some people will forget it or not spend it all. This would be like receiving a money order or gift card rather than a deposit or check - you must spend in certain ways, not gas pumps, etc. And if you lose it, you lose the money. When our card came, I did all the work of calling to activate it and write down all the pertinent info and gave that to HRH. He activated it but then gave it to ME to take care of it. I didn't like it, but I took it. I just KNEW I did take good care of it and had it in my purse.

But when he asked for it today, I couldn't find it. I went through my wallet and purse twice and there were a bunch of "cards" for everything from groceries to library, but only one actual banking card, my own. We ended up in words over it, from NOT trying to end up in words over it. I went over my whole desk, my bedside table, nothing made any sense, though - I only ever put cards in one place. Heard HRH walking up to me later and knew he was being quiet to try not to fuss, and he had found the card. But it was still my "fault", in that he found it wrapped in the paper I'd written everything down on, put into a small baggie and THEN put into my wallet, where I assumed it was something else. I was surprised he dared go through my wallet - he thinks it's kryptonite. Anyway, we're on eggshells trying to be quiet with each other. Sigh.

Tobias is appalled.

blessed, it's great that you have a chance to check in more often, and good news that your dmother's new room is in use for her now and contains meaningful art for her. I know you are pleased.

vehicle delivery - I've been informed now that they do have another protocol you can choose. If they knock and no one comes to the door, they leave the keys and paperwork under the mat of the vehicle. So that's probably a smart choice - we didn't know.

I think HRH was perfectly happy to go to his appt by himself, which was just a checkup. Maybe he can chat well when it's just him. He remembered some helpful things. Dr had neglected to do one blood test last time and HRH reminded this time.

Mystery, so interesting and fun you'll have a trip to Michaels. lol about asking for color choices and everyone probably trying to be gracious about it so YOU would have a lot of leeway! You needed to ask, "Now, if you only had ONE choice... .."

I've been to the bank and Costco and a small grocery store. All I needed at the grocery store was AP flour, but I walked out with so much more. I got the 2 things I needed at Costco and the had Volteren (sp?) on sale for less than Wal mart and I also bought a vat of potato salad for dh.

Dh put oil in the riding mower and put more gas in it. I turned on the compressor because one of dh's tires needs air in it. I put the air, but the truck still insists it needs air and the hand gauge says it's got enough air. I'll tell dh and let him decide. He is cutting the back yard.

I had a single strawberry from the garden. There are numerous raspberries almost ready to be picked.

I'm going out to have a popsicle.

DD15 now has appt with oral surgeon to discuss wisdom teeth surgery. Getting this surgery done is one of three major goals for DD15 this summer. The other 2 are drivers license school and start trauma counseling. She is schedule for the school the first of August. The trauma counseling is.....uhm....being procrastinated .... I can't get peace about the trauma counseling to an unknown person so am reluctant to commit. There is also the 3 hour drive to those appointments that doesn't thrill me. DD15 seems to be doing excellent with her trusted counselor so I am reluctant to rock-the-boat (so to speak). DD15 hasn't requested trauma counseling but it was one of the recommendations when she was diagnosed with autism.

DH has lost the remote to his TV. If anyone sees it lying around, please tell me where it is. :)

Lady M - Dear St. Anthony please help Lady M find the remote control. Now where ever your mind thinks to check even if you have checked there before check again. Hopefully the ticket lesson causes seat belt compliance, how does he keep his car from beeping at him for not wearing it? Good luck on the driving lessons, wisdom teeth removal and counseling with dd. Good problem solving with dh on all of his disassembly of things.

twins - enjoy your nap. I woke early after sleeping 9.5 hours but now I am feeling a need for a nap.

Nancy - what kind of apples do you grow - MS planted 2 apple trees but alas one died, we hope the other survives, it will be a while before we get apples.

Cathy I laughed at the Vat of potato salad - they are huge at Costco. WTG on grass cutting. I think dh is cutting ours tonight - we now have 2 yards to care for - we have MS's property to also mow and he is on vacay to his friends wedding in San Fransisco. We ate 2 strawberries off of our plants today - 3 yesterday. Many that I planted didn't grow.

Harriet, good HRH remembered helpful things for the doctor. Glad card was found regardless whose fault it was. That was brave of him to search your wallet? I can't get my husband to check purse or desk, he will get out a new check book even if I tell him exactly where it is on the desk, if any part of it is covered with anything else, he can't see it.

MysteryWoman - good luck on embroidery project. I used to do cross stitch but my carpal tunnel doesn't let me any more my fingers go numb after 5 minutes - is this a big project?

Nancy - glad you are alive, sorry for the pain however. I love seeing deer in the wild.

That is as far back as I can scroll, but I remember a conversation about an abundance of vegetables. We don't have that here yet but our roma tomato and cherry tomato plants are full of green tomatoes and all of my herbs sure need to be processed. Not sure what to do with all of them, I need to make some mint jelly, anyone have a recipe? Do you just dry herbs? I also want to make rose and lavender oil We have parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, dill, oregano, possibly some others - ms and ys are the garden tenders.

I did go to the Y for a water and a circuit class, came home for lunch and watched a movie. Now I am at desk and I need to sort the mail and pay bills. DH should be home soon and I hope we can go the the Tuesday farmer's market - I am looking for corn and melons and maybe some other veggies. Our corn people from Davies County have retired and stopped growing and selling corn - it is the best corn in this area so that is sad. We have a family swim party picnic at my sister's this saturday and I want to take corn and melon and maybe watermelon. The canteloupe in July that has the segmented rind is always the best and it only happens end of July first of August. I look forward to it every year.

My goodness -- I've missed a lot! Actually, I've been trying to cuop these last few days, but I can't get logged in on my phone and I haven't been replying.

Not a lot going on here, except the dgrands did take up a lot of time once they got home. Saturday, I took rolls and tea to the church friend who is recovering from heart episode, then took dgrands swimming, then went to watch fireworks at nearby park with ds, ddil, and dgd. DGS did not want to go. His acid reflux flared up again and he threw up before time for fireworks.
Sunday morning, dgs was sick and stayed home from church. I did not have to teach because no kids showed up except dgd. Dmom came to our church because ds, ddil, and others were playing music. I met the new pastor -- he seems like a really nice guy. He will preach his first sermon this coming Sunday.
DGD spent Sunday night and most of Monday with me, and she "made" me get up too early for my taste, so yesterday was pretty much a waste.
She had her first volleyball game last night, and ddil is upset that she never got a chance to serve. It was kinda disappointing; the coach (a classmate of ds') kept substituting dgd out just before she would be coming up to serve. She's not the smallest on the team, and there were other girls who could not get it across the net, so who knows what the coach was thinking. As ds said, it's just the first game. There's no need to get mad now. DDIL looked like she was having fun -- one of her best friends is on the team, and we could see them giggling and talking when they were both on the bench.

She has another volleyball game tonight, and will come home and spend the night. We'll have to get up early tomorrow! I'm supposed to pick up dgs from football practice, and drop off dgd at church at 9:00 a.m. Then I'll have chair yoga at 10:00 and they'll both spend the night.
Thursday, I'll have to drop off dgs at football and pick him up later, and I think they may both go home for the night.
Friday and Saturday, they'll both have to spend the night because ddil is working this weekend and ds is out of town.

July is going to go by quickly, for most of the weeks, she has volleyball games three nights a week.
August 3 is "open house" for the freshmen at the high school! EEEK! DGS... going to high school. I am NOT ready for this. The first day of school for students will be August 12.

I will try to cuop better in a bit. Hope you're all having a good day.
Tomorrow is another day.
