My apple tree was a 5 in one tree. They are wormy and not good for much other than animal food.
I do not eat fruit bc it jacks up my sugar too much anyway.
I rested and then went out and trimmed up some branches very small ones it did not take long at all
maybe five min. glad for that as it's hot out.
Some nice concert classical music was on and helped to recenter us after the forth and actives games
etc. taking a time out from chores & stuff this afternoon.
Watched half of an episode of a murder mystery on Next Flix.
Did my dishes and spiffed up the kitchen.

Re: TaDa! TUESDAY
TA-DA -- believe it or not -- I have vacuumed the master bedroom and bath!
Also have the last load of clothes in the washer. Nothing is actually put away yet, but I can do that after dgd's volleyball game.
LadyM, I hope you've found the remote by the time you get back here. Re: the car beeping about seatbelts, Costumelady, mine beeps when I first start up, and if I have not buckled up, it does it again in about 5 minutes, but it doesn't keep on, so it is easy to ignore. I am trying to be more consistent. Until I was about 13, we did not have a car with seatbelts, as far as I can remember. It was a 1963 Pontiac Catalina. So I didn't grow up with the constant reminder. DH refused to wear one, and so we were lax with ds also. BUT... ddil is extremely faithful to wear hers and make the dgrands wear theirs, so I do try to do better now to set a good example for them. I know the importance of wearing a seatbelt -- I just didn't develop the habit in my "formative years."
I hope all goes well with LadyM's dd15 on the wisdom teeth. I still have my wisdom teeth. Dentist suggested getting them pulled when I was about 19 or 20 years old -- already married and no dental insurance. They have never bothered me, so I just never bothered them.
LadyM, I think I would discuss trauma counseling with dd's current trusted counselor. It sounds like your dd is doing so well just as you are doing now. I would agree with you about rocking the boat.
Ha! Must tell y'all what ds said once about "rocking the boat." We were discussing whether to get involved in some sort of situation when ds was in high school. DS said, "Everybody thinks they want to get in there and rock the boat. They don't realize we're all in the same boat together. Have they not seen Private Ryan? When you start rocking the boat, everybody gets sick and starts throwing up on each other, and it's just a mess. It's much better to try not to rock the boat."
Cathy, the man who mows my yard FINALLY showed up today!!! It has been one day short of a MONTH since he mowed!!! His wife is 90 years old and has C-diff, (along with emphysema and some dementia) and he can't leave her alone, so my yard was extremely embarrassing. However, he says he wants to keep mowing, and I doubt I could find anyone to do it cheaper, so I am living with it. OTOH, he did not finish weed-eating; it started raining.
But oh my goodness, it looks better. I was afraid for the dgrands to play in the yard, it was so high.
The men who cut hay in the pasture also showed up this morning and that is all cut and ready to bale, so that looks nice too.
I've got to get out of here and get to a volleyball game! BBL, I hope!

Re: TaDa! TUESDAY
Eeek! It seems summer just started. Our school starts August 6th.first day of school for students
The remote has been found. DH had put it in a different room on a bookshelf.
The medi equipment place called with quote to fix DH CPAP machine. Repairs will be $247 so I approved it. The CPAP machine was mailed to the factory on May 31 and it has taken them this long to give a quote for repair. Who knows how long it will take to get it repaired and mailed back. DH is using a loaner CPAP while waiting so I guess it doesn't matter.
DS17 and employer have parted ways amicably yesterday. DS17 is impatiently waiting until he turns 18 (29 more days) and can apply for "real" jobs. Last night he was in the hay field stacking round bales with skid steer. This morning he used the zero turn mower on our yard, then this afternoon he has been in a swather cutting hay. He always seems to find something to keep himself busy.

Re: TaDa! TUESDAY
Good evening!
Had some tension here this afternoon. DC essentially announced that they were going to their friend’s for a visit. I very reluctantly agreed to take them after they registered for the driving test, but I was seriously miffed. I was sitting in the passenger seat, waiting for them to put their stuff in the car and adjust the driver’s seat. They couldn’t find something and apologized for keeping me waiting. I told them they were apologizing for the wrong thing — they should be apologizing for taking me for granted and expecting me to drop everything to ride with them. They were quite appropriately mortified and said they would visit online. But then, in addition to feeling livid about being taken advantage of, I felt rotten for messing with their plans — and angry at myself for feeling rotten when I’d simply stuck up for myself.
Before I left to go to Michael’s with my friend, DC came down and gave me a long hug. I think they will be a little more considerate about needing a ride in the future.
The Michael’s run was reasonably successful, though the lighting in the floss aisle was horrible. I had to sit a few times and at one point fell off my cane/seat. My mobility truly is improving, I guess, because I was able to get myself up off the floor without assistance. I got a variety of floss; K picked up some decorations for her DD’s graduation party, and then we went for ice cream.
Costumelady and Harriet and anyone else who cares, the project is what I’ve been calling “coerced creativity.” The most Martha Stewart-like of our mom group has declared that when she hosts in October, the theme is “Farmers Market,” and we are each to produce enough of our wares for each of the other moms to have one. Oh, and she might be inviting an extra friend. So I am making a small embroidery project — but times 10. It is the words “Home Sweet Home,” surrounded by a wreath of flowers, in a 6-in. hoop. Each wreath has four large flowers and two sprays of Lazy Daisies, so I wanted two or three colors from each person, as I think I’d get bored stitching the same color over and over. If I can get one done a week, I will be doing fine. I got one flower embroidered in the time between getting home and sitting down to dinner, so I’m thinking this is doable. This is NOT cross stitch, counted or not, so there is plenty of blank space.

Re: TaDa! TUESDAY
Glad you have the benefit of a groomed lawn, lucylee. Sounds like that gentleman has a lot on his plate, poor thing.
Nancy, I have no fruit trees - but limbs? Now limbs I've got, lol. Mostly lying in the yard. Good job on neatening up. The roses are lovely.
Costumelady, maybe he carries some baggage from the past (we've only been married 28 years, lol), but for some reason he thinks the inside of a woman's purse is no-man's-land even if it is his wife's. He has no problem carrying it when needed, probably because he had to when I had some health concerns, but the inside? Poisonous, lol. Even when I ask him to get something out, he'll bring the whole thing to me instead. I think that only because my wallet was out of my purse already, did he decide to search it. Anyway, yes, delighted to find the silly card instead of fretting further.
Mystery, thank you for realizing that I was biting my tongue trying not to ask about your stitchery.
How sweet that your dc paid attention that you weren't being appreciated and gave you a long hug. Glad your fall was a short one and quickly over with, since your mobility is better, yay.
I am nursing an impressive bruise on my upper arm because I was trying to bring a package in and pushed the screen (hydraulic) door open, then was slow getting away from it with the package when it came rushing back. The metal handle caught me, ouch. If the delivery had been at the door we requested, with the porch, the rain wouldn't have made me feel so hurried.
"coerced creativity" lol
The benefit will be that you'll learn what/how you'd rather be creating.
Cathy will be happy to know this, too, though. She'd always rather be stichin' with floss.
I've done some sewing and gotten myself tired, so stopping even though it's not at a "stopping place". It will be easy to see how to pick back up again.

Re: TaDa! TUESDAY
Harriet, he definitely has a lot on his plate, but when I tried to give him an “out” and asked if I should find someone else, he said nooo! He said it helps him to get out of the house when can, and I suspect hd needs the money. He is 87
but in amazing shape from what I can tell.
Home from volleyball. We won! And Dgd had a great game. She got to serve twice and returned a ball once. (I don’t know what you call the different things in volleyball.)
All the laundry is put away, we had supper at Subway, played Dirty Board and Scrabble (until she got tired of it.)
When she found at that dgs would be busy with football tomorrow and Thursday, she said, “that’s a relief! I need to thank those coaches for keeping him!”LOL.
