helia - it seems I'm ALWAYS forgetting something... I have a number of post it note reminders...
Dogged I'm glad you made an otherwise unpleasant day into something enjoyable. (My DD is a master at that... I'm really bad at it...)
LAnn swimming is so important for them... I wish I had learned

Back from gym and from DGD pu. (DD had no car...) I dropped everyone at their home:)
We had a 45 min. walk w dpup. It's quite warm out.

Now:

I must
vacuum car
feed pup
check on laundry

Forgetting things is my hobby, kitkat  It's good to know that I'm not alone.
I can't take credit for making the day good. When you have good company, anything can be enjoyable. :)
That was a wild storm you had. We just had an overcast day and normal rain. I was so grateful that it wasn't hot and sunny, as my car has no air conditioning. Now I'm grateful that the rain didn't throw everything it had at us.

That's great about the swimming lessons, L.Ann. Swimming is one of those things that we should all learn to do, because you don't know if you'll have a choice to do it.

You had a productive day yesterday, helia, topped by a dinner out. Sounds like a good day!

Thank you for another melodic start, Kittykatt. I hope that you get some cool weather and that your headache clears.

Friday
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after Germane
Spiffed self
Loaded laundry card
Bagged kitchen garbage and brought it to chute
Checked laundry room: in use
Went to basement
Transferred money to laundry card

kittykatt, that's quite a comedic story about Figaro, Susanna, the Count and Countess, and their adventures. I laughed just reading the synopsis! I know so little about opera - does someone else write the story and the composer writes the music? Or does the composer do it all?
kitkat, that was quite a storm. So glad the branch didn't come down on top of your car!
l.ann, good swimming lessons.
doggedly, we all could benefit from more regular exercise. I guess you get some when you take Gemane for a "carry" ;)
helian, your life sounds so organized, you get so much accomplished in a day.

I have 1 goal today: clear off the K table.
So far, I have mailed 3 items at the post office
Had a short tirp to church, bringing back fabric I didn't use for the quilt backs.
Brought title of new to me car (gift from dfBS) to safety deposit box
Baked cookies for ds and family going to lake this weekend - they are working on landscaping
kept some for myself and ate 3 of them
Brought pin cushion that I used for quilt backs, to my basement sewing room
put 3 things into filing box...
Made a congratulations card with a gift of $ for dgrandson whose name was published as honor roll at his University, and he was stright 4.0 this past semester. :D

Not much progress - now I think I can stay home and focus, but it was good to get those errands done - it WAS stuff on the table, now dealt with.
Now a piece of papaer r/to dfBS. Need to go to HER patient portal...

Long way to go.....

You're doing great, L.Ann.

Exactly, Gma. Even if Germane doesn't need the exercise of her walk any more, I do. And she's happy to come along for a ride.
You got lots done today. Errands can take a lot out of you.

Friday
Heart pill for Germane
Cleaned up after Germane
Spiffed self
Loaded laundry card
Bagged kitchen garbage and brought it to chute
Checked laundry room: in use
Went to basement
Transferred money to laundry card
Fed Germane a snack of rice with some salmon juice and dog food
Opened a new container of dog food for her
Filled/started breadmaker
Checked laundry room: busy
Cleaned up after dog
Put away contents of one bag

Just home from supper with MrVKM. I gave him a few cookies - he's going fishing with his brother and sil tomorrow for a few days at a resort.
But I did keep several for myself, so I can bring a few to dfBS when I go to see her tomorrow.
It's a beautiful summer night, and I have been inside most of the day. Even tho I haven't finished my table, I think I will put my hiking shoes on and go for a mile walk. Then com e back and see if I can continue to work on my table, and make some progress. MrVKM said it does look better and he can tell I have been working on it. (I just wish I could sometime actually get done!)

It's going to be a late night. I've got the laundry room on my floor to myself, so have started my standard two loads. I have switched from my usual delicates/regular FIFO to lights/darks because I bought some summer scarves and I'm not sure that the colours won't run.

Enjoy your hike, Gma. It's nice to have your efforts noticed, even if we only see what's left to do.

I had a good walk,
went to mother's (half mile)
emptied dehumidifers, took in mail (1 catalog - I've been calling and asking them to stop, but it doesn't always work), watered thirsty outdoor plants - we have had rain, but also heat.
walked home (other half mile).
Nearly bedtime; I'm going to do some bedtime crochet. It's past newstime here.
