We made the unusual decision of salmon for supper tonight, which is an expensive decision around here - I realize not so special for everybody. In fact, HRH has a friend at a distance, who says the freezer just emptied of all the salmon they had from fishing. We had blackberries but those don't stay in the house long enough for me to consider a cobbler. They were snacks!

lucylee, sometimes a day seems useless, yes, but I often think back over days and notice valuable things happened. For instance, your games, porch-swing time and softball tossing with a grandchild could be considered the opposite of useless.

A dcousin from my mother's side of my family got the news to me of the death of a 98-year-old first cousin of my ddad. Honestly, I wasn't sure he had a living first cousin still, and from the obit I see she is survived by a younger sibling. So, I sent that along to my oldest cousin on my ddad's side and feel really virtuous about getting that info out to her. I can think of another person who'd appreciate an email, but that is for tomorrow when my brain will compose more readily. Also, I need to send a thank you to the cousin who somehow noticed the name, realized I would want to know and took the time.

Have a grandchild bday coming up - need to get ideas about that.

Making out a 5x5 for tomorrow would be wise.

Hope everyone has a restful and refreshing night's sleep!
