Good morning/ good afternoon, L Ann and Helia!

I hope you enjoy your lunch with your friends, L.Ann.

Oh, Helia,.you have so much to.do right now, it makes me feel exhausted just reading it! Seriously, though, is there anything that can be delegated to someone else, or that can be left until you get back from your trip?

Freddie has had his biscuit for being a "good boy" (no blood was spilt and there were no injuries, so this qualifies as "good"). I fed the neighbours' cat - she let me stroke her today- and I've watered the roses in my front garden. I'm now finishing up the very nice vanilla ice cream I found in the freezer, as: a) it's hot, b) it creates space in the freezer and c) I deserve it after dealing with Freddie this morning. When he gets really angry he has started snorting like a pig. The vet said she had never seen or heard anything like it before.

The Emma Lion books are interesting, helian. I can’t quite figure out why they are such a big hit…. Maybe they fill a Downton Abbey, Bridgeton hole. I think the fact that they are so short helps although I heard the later ones are longer.

Morning all. I missed almost 2 weeks now I think. I see kittykat has her car back from being repaired. Trissie back from vacation and busy as ever. Helian is about to travel again? When do you leave? And a bit too much in the schedule again. Gma still serving her friends faithfully.

I've cuop a few days after the kids left. Missed a lot but that's ok.

We had a wonderful visit with dd and dsil. Some downtime while it was just them. Finished her baby blanket. Gave her the rest of the purple yarn she made a newborn hat and booties. Cleaned pretty severely in here because my plan of using dad's motorhome to house the inlaws failed. Starter and battery issues. So 4 people in my spare bedroom. Dh office had the oldest of his brothers. That required another deep cleaning.

The inlaw family came Wednesday night and spent Thursday and Friday. His dad unfortunately couldn't get out of work so we didn't actually have to find fishing time. Just exploring a bunch of lakes and trying to find an acceptable swimming place. A very active family. Sports are big for the kids.

Dd is doing well. Though slowing down cause well she has probably 6 weeks left now till baby comes. She was moving my pace. We had a lot of fun and they went home with a whole carload of extra stuff.

Visitors always make me shake out my house and it feels so much better in here now. All the corners are clean. Furniture completely rearranged. Much more usable and less cat domain. Eww they are so bad. The biggest accomplishment is the office. It is clean and ready to declutter. Ooops I moved shelving around and ended up with my wooden 4 shelf full of jigsaw and board games. But my printer shelving is cleared out enough to declutter. My end closet and craft room too.

I have one major issue of the summer though. My autistic 16 year old. I feel like this online summer school course is a failure that has driven him further into depression and isolation. I let him spend some of the company time in his room and at home when everyone was out. He came along on one trip. But he did the first assignment right on time. Missed a few steps and had some corrections to do. He scored 75 ish percent. Anything under 90 in his books is apparently failure and now he's frozen in perfectionism.... any time you bring it up it makes him sad and down on himself... he spends 90 percent of his time in his room. Doesn't want to do anything.

Today's first task is deciding what to do.. I think we have to withdraw from the course. That will backtrack his goals. Or break the mindset... impossible task... find him something to change his gears.

Other than that.. down time. Declutter. Finish a few projects. I can carry on organizing in my craft room. The office. The closet. Finish weeding the garden. And my physio appointment at 12.

Free day.... either get productive... or not. Visit mom later is not an option.

Hi, all. I'll stick to a short note, as I'm not sure that the board will let it get through. I have a gorgeous cool, cloudy summer day with a reasonable amount of rain. Something I wish for all of the communities facing fire this summer.
Tonight I have an invitation to keep my friends company while they work on moving apartments, so that's something fun to look forward to. For now, I'll get my shower.

Have a great day, all!

Hi, everyone!
Yes, there's been some trouble accessing the site, or rather navigating, so I've been on the phone reporting that. The rep says give it 24 hours and his fix should be in place and issues resolved. Maybe before then.

So nice Lauralind is back - hey!

Hi Harriet. Thanks for keeping us running as good as you can.

Phew . One thing the kids brought the warmer weather. I weeded my flowerbed. That was long enough out there. Out adventures landed the days that were the hottest of the summer and I was really silly. Asking dh to go back and find the sunscreen and then I didn't put it on. My shoulders are almost to peeling stage of sunburn.

I'm washing bedding atm gonna put lighter sheets on the bed. Kitchen is clean. Swept everywhere and watered and weeded outside.

Now I should find something to eat before my appointment.
