sorry I haven't been back - hope you all had a great day

while mom rested I was a lump on a log - I needed to rest without sleeping.
dd older is on the plane
dd older and dd younger wrote that they will miss each other - so happy they had a good time - the first day was real rough but they worked it out.
They enjoyed themselves - glad that they want to spend time together by themselves and with their cousins.
They still have cousin day at least once a month.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

No no no. I finally remembered to ask the DAR registrar for the approved copy of my DAR application and I am so upset! The genie (not helpfully) added a wife to my ancestor - and it's wrong, lol. I'm getting into a better frame of mind with writing a correction letter, which I shouldn't have to do. Anyway, the registrar is recommending I ask for a "second review" to take out the incorrect wife and to reconsider the death record of my grandfather. The death certificate gave initials as C S, the initials of the second son, not S O, the initials of the son who died.

Ok I’m finally in… hopefully the site is fixed

Walked Amelia this morning came home fix breakfast for everyone. Did my routines and watched a lot of TV with sweetie because that’s what he wanted me to do.

Amelia is in her toddler stage. She gets up place for a while and then gets so out of control I have to put her in her kennel and she sleeps for an hour. We repeat that several times a day. I’ll be glad when this part of the puppy is over with. However, she’s doing much better with the house training thank goodness.

We’ve been having a lot of rain in the afternoons so I have to figure out how to get her out in between the raindrops it’s been a challenge.

Other than that, we’re doing OK last week Amelia ate very sick plastic that she found in on the mattress in our bedroom by the time I found out, I knew she’d eat a bunch of it. So we ended up taking her to the emergency room on Sunday where they made her vomit and we just had to keep watching her plus, we had to do a couple of x-rays, but she seems to have recovered very well.

Hopefully, I can get back on schedule with you all. Missed you a lot. Hope that changes by now.

.
yes, hope that changes by now or maybe soon.

Someone within review team was assigned this afternoon. By 3 in the morning, to expect emailed follow up on what has been able to happen to bring processing and usage down. All agree nothing has changed within our board to affect or change processing and usage.
_______________

We decided to make an order even though we would much rather see and purchase produce at the store. Just didn't have the bandwidth. Dd27 will come tomorrow, for baking, visiting, but I will already have bought everything we need. Then dsonil arrives in time to go with us to the bday party mid-afternoon.

I also bought the yellow (peanut) m and ms because that's the image on the new gift bag I have, and if I stick those in there with the gift, it will look like I was ever so creative and meant to do that.

This evening, I'm working on the kitchen, a constant battle to get as much of my limited counter space available for projects as possible. Tomorrow we will be baking, chopping some berries, slicing others, mixer bowl for filling, mixer bowl for icing, and as if that doesn't take enough counter, designing decor pieces from strawberries, which is very important art to dd. HRH will vacate the kitchen premises, but he will love it and come through teasing, I'm sure.

Twins', finding some control and a chance to express yourself. Those are like medicine.

blessed, yay ddolder will be coming in soon. Of course you were a lump. Rest is your job at those moments.

Forgot to say, I also have a not-a-gift for DangerBoy in the very nice work gloves I bought. He got blisters :( doing so much work preparing for the little service in the yard last week before he finally thought to ask for gloves. When I get a chance, I will go back and buy a bunch of those. Highly recommend dollar store gloves - they always seem fine to me at little prices. Am loving the gardening ones I got.

DangerBoy also gets a bitsy chocolate cake slice. He will be disappointed when he sees strawberry cake come through the door but Grandma and Grandpa will surprise with his own slice. Someday I will admit he is all grown up, almost. Someday.

Grateful for being able to appreciate no loss of power.
It is windy and the small next town is with out power.
Also one up the canyon a ways in the other direction more in the mountains with forests.
Smokey but not much worse also glad it's cooled off now that the sun is over the horision.

Got to see a couple of shows I enjoy.

Found a quilt block to learn how to make all straight lines.
I've had a pretty interesting day.
Got some watering done too after dinner.

Gosh -- I haven't posted all week! Well, since Monday.
I just posted in J&C. Depressing FB news Thursday morning re: Will Roberts, who passed away Thursday after midnight. I've had that on my mind most of the time since reading it -- and of course I was awake at midnight, so did not sleep that night at all.

Dgrands have been with me most of the time since then, and since school starts in 17 days for them, we're making the most of it, I guess.
Friday, at my suggestion, ds and I took them to an ice cream/sandwich shop in the town where I attended college. It's less than an hour away, and I drove by this place daily for about 3 years, but had never stopped there. It has been in business in the same location for 108 years!!! My late dmil used to talk about it, and ds and ddil had eaten there some years ago... but no, I had never tried it. It was good, although a little bit pricey, but I would definitely go back to it. We arrived around 1:00 pm, and it was PACKED. We were lucky to get the last table and four chairs available!
We also visited my uncle in assisted living. He was doing pretty well. He confused my aunt's grandson for a nephew, but that was the only thing he seemed to have trouble keeping straight in his mind. He seemed glad to see us. * And fortunately, he did NOT seem to realize that I had not seen him since Christmas! That was a big worry for me, that he would be upset that I had neglected him so long. I am going to try to do better.''

It is after midnight, and I have not showered or anything. I think I will go to bed and do that in the morning. DGS has showered so I will not have to share the bathroom! LOL. Although there are three bathrooms, he seems to prefer mine, and if he showers before church, I have a much later start getting dressed!
Tomorrow is another day.
