Manageable Monday PWYC
Manage the day, don't let it manage you! Monday I almost always have a plan but it breaks down in response to people, things to do, frustrations and clutter in the mind. By Friday I'm frazzled and feel like I'm just getting by.
I need to be more mindful of managing the day, not letting it slip away, not letting the "stuff" get in the way.
Join me in keeping Monday manageable today.

Good morning, Twins'.
Kittykatt, thank you for mentioning that you've started to have an easy time getting around for posting. That was thoughtful of you. I did see it early this a.m.
We've had an email with thanks for being patient and an explanation of some efforts to help that happened well behind the scenes. Hopeful.
It hasn't been as easy as usual to give hugs around here! (((((((( HUGS )))))))) to all who need them.
Hi, lucylee, glad you have normalcy at your house. Missing the usual more complete description, but I imagine you're busy as a Grandma Bee.
LadyM, is dd feeling better after the wisdom teeth removal?
Yes, Mondays can seem more possible, more corral-able, MANAGEABLE.
"... plan ..breaks down in response to people... .."
something to remember that so often we just didn't do it, didn't "un-plan", it's not our fault, yet others have true importance, we do care.
"... ..clutter in the mind... .."
what a good phrase
My day will revolve around getting the house back to order after a very social weekend, then heading out for appts.
Need to think about plants, both indoors and out. Who needs what.
I know what's Next Up with sewing, have it laid out, but not sure I can get to it today.

Good morning
DD15 didn't ask for OTC pain meds in the last 24 hours so I think she is recovering well. DD50 took herself to ER last night and left with a diagnosis of anxiety attack. They are both doing well this morning. Plans are made to decluttering/deep cleaning DD15 bedroom here this afternoon before she and Astra moves back into it.
We have had a discover card for 50 years (or so). Today our Discover card goes away and becomes Capitol One because of their merger. Hopefully the transition goes smoothly and continue to operate as it has for decades. All our reoccurring bills are auto paid through discover card and then it is automatically completely paid off each month with a single withdraw from the bank account. This financial setup has worked flawlessly for years. If there are any hiccups with this transition, it is going to be a total PITA to address each issue. ***High hopes**
Because of constant monitoring and interactions with those in my home, I expect interruptions and distractions to happen. When things get totally off track, I try to start fresh the next TOTH. Focusing on one hour at a time lets me regroup and the day doesn't get away from me.more mindful of managing the day, not letting it slip away

Re: Manageable Monday PWYC
Harriet wishing you well for appointments this week.
I was up at regular time this morning.
AQI :#141 unhealthy for sensitive groups so...
thinking of a shorter walk.
I've done some of the first three trash is out.
The other two escape me prob. qt. journals.
I did do the 4 laps around the back yard and enjoyed seeing the toms. that are ripening yea!
The power outage areas got restored.
I will try again for the failed errand but later on in the week.
Hoping for better air.
Maybe some writing today.
Some encourage a block a day for brain health or other creative pursuit.
I can tell some improvement might be b/c things that bother allergies are not in bloom.
I realize that I could have paid cash when I was out to do an errand, but that was not one
of the stated options. Oh well I'm looking forward to the drive by the river again and can
use the other rig for it.

Re: Manageable Monday PWYC
Good morning!
I have cleaned up breakfast and spent time on the treadmill before coming here, so I feel virtuous. Of course, I spent yesterday lazing about, although I could claim that as my “day of rest.”
DC’s birthday went well, though at first they couldn’t decide what kind of cake (or pie) they wanted or where they wanted to go or what they wanted to do. And it started off somewhat inauspiciously — they woke up just as the rest of us were headed to the store to get birthday cards. But the present that was supposed to arrive on Friday arrived Saturday afternoon rather than Monday as the email suggested. So DC was able to open (and play — a game cartridge, or chip at any rate) their present on their birthday. They finally decided they wanted to go to dinner at a place at the other end of the county, with a stop at the World Market near there. We dearly miss the one that had been on our side of the county; it carries all sorts of foreign foods (though not fresh groceries) in addition to housewares and furniture and a wide variety of other stuff. We confined our self to the food section and mostly got junk food and snacky things — like lobster-flavored potato chips. Then to dinner, where DC was disappointed to learn that the particular dish she had wanted was no longer on the menu. She had something else — chicken cooked three ways — which she enjoyed, and she had crème brûlée for dessert, which I certainly never could have gotten at the grocery store. So that was quite the busy day, which, I suppose, contributed to me being a slug yesterday.
Nothing on the agenda for today. Tomorrow, DD has a dentist appointment in the morning, and DC has a concert in the evening that I am really hoping I correctly understood DH was willing to drive them to, as it’s down in Akron. Wednesday is DC’s long-awaited driver’s test. Boy, I hope they pass!
I hope your day cooperates in being manageable, Twins!
Glad that it seems the board is behaving now, and Harriet can devote herself to other things.
I hope the cleaning goes well, LadyM! We’ve got some Augean Stables here that I can’t seem to divert a river through, but then, I’m no Hercules! I hope your cleaning is relatively quick and easy.
Hoping you have good air from both the smoke and allergy standpoints, Nancy!
Next up is to get some wash started before lunch.

Morning…
Usual morning here. Early morning walks, Exersize class, morning routines and breakfast for all
Coco’s owner came to get Amelia so the sisters can have a sleep over
That means I have the afternoon off to do whatever and the possibilities are endless…sit in the sun and read, work in my office or take a nap.
Right now I’m watching Perry with Sweetie. He enjoys it as much as I do so that something we can do together

Mystery - YGG!I feel virtuous.
I like the sound and meaning of virtuous. I want more of it in my life.
Interesting. I didn't knew they existed. What were they like?lobster-flavored potato chips.
I selected a kitchen drawer for my declutter/deep cleaning focus today. It was a quick win with over half of the items removed and now I feel virtuous.
Noting for my future self....yes, I did decide to remove & give these items away. They haven't been used in a long time so it is time for them go and be used in someone else home.
2 Freezer Bag Holder Stands
2 extra can openers
Wisk for electric stick blender (never used)
Missing kitchen scissors found and put in its place.
I considered painting the drawer insides, but we have other plans happening this afternoon so I didn't want start too much. I washed the drawer well and found 2 drawer inserts that fit perfect for the 2 remaining items in the drawer. The drawer went from being cluttered and stuffed to looking clean and organized.

Re: Manageable Monday PWYC
Just now returning to post after opening us up earlier. I'm just now earling my brunch, roughly an hour before I'll be heading out the door to workout today.
I have chicken out to grill for our supper. Making perhaps peach salsa to go with it, and perhaps spinach salad?
So very glad this is a quiet week here - limited outside the house stuff to attend to and dh away for most of three days, lol.
I got my email off to the DAR genealogy department finally. This application was approved in April but I just remembered to ask the registrar for a copy of it. Surprise! A mother had (wrongly) been added to an ancestor, and my grandfather's death certificate wasn't accepted, so his dob was after 1920, not 6 June 2026. This has application has been so snake-bitten - they sent two AIRs on it before approving it (one that went back to the generation after the patriot, after approving other generations - registrar said she had never seen that.) She believes this was an inexperienced genealogist. I laid on the certified genealogist info, even quoting my BCG # and the date through which my certification is valid, lol. Anyway, my registrar also has been seen a request for a formal review, although there apparently is some process available.
This has been sitting here...my mind is trying to talk me out of working out today but I know I'll be mad at myself if I don't go.

Re: Manageable Monday PWYC
I listened to half of a sermon rather than CE class that was rerun.
Sermon took a turn to diff. area and was a long on so I can
hear the rest later.
Did up the Dishes & got them put away.
Dusted in the living room.
Working my way down the daily stuff.
Bed is made.
Going out side just briefly to shake out the duster for example.
Wrote a bit then that idea fizzled out but did get a different
perspective and that was what I was going for so yea!
Looks like smoke may move Eastward in a day or so maybe even this afternoon.
I'm plugging along in no particular hurry at the moment and am making some progress so Yea for that.
The extended the air quality alert until tomorrow.
Waving.
Oh I've not had the issues getting in here today.
