Tomorrow is wisdom teeth day for dgsC. He came over today on a walk and stopped in, took a while to see how far I'd gotten on the quilt. He was walking, but we had a storm warning, so I insisted on taking him home in the car. Took the opportunity to give a bit of a driving lesson, not in the driver's seat but pointing out operating similarities and differences in the car he usually drives. So glad to have gotten him home faster, because as soon as I walked back in the house there was a warning alert on my phone explaining what to do in case of high winds.
Ds also stopped in very briefly, in fact got to see dgsC, but had to race off because ddil called him saying company had arrived early and she was in the shower. So off he went, saying he'd pop back tomorrow. I'm sure dgdC is a lovely hostess in parents' absence, lol.
Hoping Nancy's headache improves.
Hoping blessed's dmother feels better, too. Meds are great, but knowing when to stop them is very important.
No, Mystery, today was not medical for me, just recuperation from a big medical day yesterday, plus fielding emails about upcoming appts, etc.
I printed some forms today for round robin, to-dos, pre-printed grocery lists that help me plan.

Re: Anti Procrastination Tuesday PWYC
Called sdon and we had a good talk catching up on news.
DD called me this afternoon and we caught up.
She sent a pic of Dgd with a nice fish she caught in the ocean on their vacation with her dad & gpa.
I had home grown tomato for dinner it was yummy.
I've watered in back.
Nice breeze but does not seem to be taking out much of the smoke yet.
Got my sewing current and a bit ahead for the day I'm out and about.

Re: Anti Procrastination Tuesday PWYC
Today has been a bit slower than yesterday, thank goodness!
DGD and I picked up dgs at football practice, then went to the grocery store, and then ate at the Mexican restaurant.
After we came home, I lay down for awhile, and dgd and I played some games, and then went to her volleyball game.
* She made the serve that led to the winning point! She was so excited, and she and some of her friends were jumping up and down. Her smile was priceless.
After that, she and I ate at the chicken fingers place and back home, more board games, her bath and I washed her hair.
She's in my bed now, but not ready to sleep, and I need to shower and get myself headed that way. I exercised, but I haven't done my Bible reading for the day, and I haven't read the paper for the day.
I will skip yoga tomorrow because I have to be here for dgd, and dgs after practice. At 5:15, I have to go unlock the pool gate and be there for part of the church swimming party. It's the end of our summer "Wonderful Wednesdays."
Next week, we will all skip Wednesday activities, and the next week, the children and adults will start the new school year. The pastor is leading a study for all adults -- so that is a relief for me, after plodding along with my two ladies.
I called my dmom and told her how bad I felt about backing out on accompanying her to her reunion. She said, "That's okay. I can go by myself." She acted like it wasn't a big deal at all. Now -- she may back out at the last minute, but I hope she will go ahead and go. I sent word to the lady I mentioned last night, and she said "Good! We are looking forward to seeing her. We are always home by dark." This is their 63rd reunion. I probably have told y'all -- dmom didn't actually graduate with these people. After getting married in January of 10th grade, she dropped out during her 11th grade year (because I came along). She tried to go back, and the principal even told her he would let her walk through graduation with her class if she would promise to return to finish the next year, but she said it was just too hard. My dad was working swing shifts and I was having six month colic.
She finally did get her GED and completed her degree in accounting, but she missed those last two years of high school. Anyway, they always include her in their reunions.
Re: procrastination -- I just read something similar to what Twins was saying in the opening post.
I don't have to WANT TO do it, I just have to DO it.
Remembering that, I have washed the dishes in the sink and put away the ones in the drainer.
DGD just came in here and said, "Why do you have to write an essay every day?"
Good night, all.

Re: Anti Procrastination Tuesday PWYC
LucyLee, thank you for highlighting that important saying from Twins:
"I don't have to WANT TO do it, I just have to DO it."
I need to carry that with me. I have noticed procrastination creeping up in my life recently, as there are things that need to be done, but that I just don't want to do. Now I have the answer!
