Morning all. Kittykat what is cctv?

I have a kind of similar cat problem. So I have 5 who are o good behavior pretty much now and since it's summer 4 of them are quite content outside feasting on mice etc. Come in on their terms. The last while there is a pretty orange male out there. He's not fixed. I posted a while ago on Facebook and found his owner. A ways away several miles for sure. They came and got him and took him home. Next thing he must have got out again. I think he's made friends with my crew. He runs when you get close yet and escaped a few times when his owners came. He's been back for a week or more again. But he once followed my cats and found their cat door. Now every once in a while I get up at night and find him in my house. He dashes right back out again when he sees me.

So I messaged them again the other day. She says Ohh I was going to ask if he ended up back there. I think he likes your yard do you want him?? I told her why I can't take more she should try and come get him again. Haven't seen her yet.... I have not fed him yet because I don't want him to stay but she doesn't seem to want him. Can't afford care and fixing him would probably keep him home.

If i didn't have an overfull house we would break him and fix him and keep him in a heartbeat 💗 what to do. Maybe just try it and see what happens? I already dread winter cause I moved everything and cleaned everywhere.. it won't stay clean.

Phew. My house looks like I didn't do anything yesterday. Only thing I did was try to keep my headache at bay with meds and rest and fresh air picking berries. Oh well. Fix it slowly.
Church this morning and see if this rain stops still more berries to pick.

And maybe I will message my friend who helps with cat shelter. See what she thinks.

Hello, all. Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. As much as I like the Snow White movie, I am riveted to my seat by your real-life drama. As with all drama, it's a lot more fun for us to imagine what's in the garage than for you to deal with it in real life. And kudos to you, having more sense than a modern movie character, and sticking to feeding the cat and not letting on that you suspect anything more. Almost all modern literature would grind to a halt if the hero/heroine did that. I think that Alfred Hitchcock used to throw ordinary people into their adventures and gave them no option, but almost every story I can think of since then starts when the hero/heroine snoops into something that they are not prepared to deal with.

Thank you, FrenchFly. It feels silly to mourn my flooded theatres when so many in the city had to deal with flooded basements. It's that I put off going out to things for so much of my life as working sapped my emotional resourcess so I mostly vegged to recover. These theatres are so close to my home, and the productions, often amateur are so affordable to me, that I started coming out of my shell and going to live shows. It was part of really enjoying my retirement. I could buy a ticket with confidence because I could get there no matter the traffic conditions, and if my car wouldn't start I could afford to take a taxi or uber for such a short distance. It's a minor issue compared to what other people are living with.
It will make such a difference for your DS10, to have you explain the differences between schools so that things will feel familiar to him when he starts.
I'm glad that the clouds are helping with the heat a little. We have more rain today with a weather warning, but nothing like that other storm.

Is the cable car up in the air like a sky ride, helia? Or on tracks like a tram? Either way, I'm sure the view is spectacular.

Oh, I'll bet that was a good concert, kitkat. Did you see Leonard Cohen when he was alive? I haven't been to many concerts in my life, but I have gone to one of his. And Neil Young. I am grateful to the dfs who brought me along to them.

That brings me to the end of Page 1, so time to get up and do.

Sunday
Put on a pot of coffee
Sat at computer to wait for joints to participate
Germane came staggering out of the bathroom, came right behind my chair and peed while I was saying hello to her.
Got paper towels on it before the pee ran off the static mat to the foam pieces below.
Washed it. Checked the underside of the static mat.
Heart pill for dog

I hope all goes well, LAnn

Dogged - oh, yes! I did see him in 2012. It was an amazing concert. I could not stop listening to his CDs... (drove my fam crazy)
My oldest DGD used to order Hallelujah from Alexa every time she saw me:) (She was around 2...)
I don't go to too many concerts, I don't love crowds but make some exceptions:
We went for Bocelli's performance and that was incredible...
As for the flooding: we ALL experience things somewhat differently, that does not diminish your problem...
I can totally understand it. ((((((()))))))))

Speaking of floods: I keep checking my basement... Water is running down the street in little rivers...

Hi Lauralind - how did I miss your post?

Oh, no, kitkat. I hope that the water stays out of your basement.

I remember that about living in the country, Lauralind. The Cat Distribution System works by its own rules.

Hi, L.Ann!

I found the basement laundry room not in use. Rare on a Sunday, but it's a 3-day weekend so laundry gets spread out more. I'm going to head down and stake my claim. Taking a bit of chance because if the system floods, it comes up the drain in that room, but as long as it doesn't flood it will be cooler than the upstairs laundry rooms.

Sunday
Put on a pot of coffee
Sat at computer to wait for joints to participate
Started updating goals
Germane came staggering out of the bathroom, came right behind my chair and peed while I was saying hello to her.
Got paper towels on it before the pee ran off the static mat to the foam pieces below.
Washed it. Checked the underside of the static mat.
Washed rubber gloves and scissors
Heart pill for dog
Started updating goals
CUOP
Washed Germane’s eyes
Treats/food for Germane
Changed out Germane’s pee pads
Sorted dirty laundry. Started new bag.
Made a breakfast of rice, dog food, topper and probiotic for Germane. Started a new can.
She approved, and actually ate it all.
Put more dog food on her plate, in case she was hungry. She expressed her disappointment by marching up and down the apartment, turning in circles and staring expectantly at the walls, the exercise bike, the door, etc., none of which made her another breakfast.
Was secretly pleased that Germane got her exercise.
Spiffed self
Tried to get Alexa to tell me the time. She’s getting hard of hearing. Always willing to play something, but deaf to other requests.
Unplugged Alexa.
Loaded $ on laundry card
Updated goals
Brought bluebox recycling to basement
Realized that the basement laundry room is nice and cool and not in use, and it will be much more comfortable than the laundry room on my floor, which is in use
Tried to transfer $ to my laundry card: no card in my pocket
Went back upstairs
Found my laundry card lying on the floor in front of my apartment. Nabbed it.

I'm all caught up on clothing laundry, by which I mean that there are no clothes in the hamper, so that feels like a victory. I flipped the laundry. I have a LOT of delicates that don't go in the dryer, so I might have to use some ingenuity to find enough places to hang things.

You have made good use of your Sunday, L.Ann.

The rain has gotten heavier. I was talking to one of the maintenance guys, who said that he's worried that we'll get rain in some of the apartments. Our first floor is above ground level, so maybe he's concerned about the top floor coming through the roof? It is a flat roof.
