The 4 young people have arrived, pronounced their rooms quite adequate.The girls are delighted with the pink, ruffles, and dolls! One young amn is from Mexico, and is very fluent in English. I am not fluent in anything but English. All are very nice kids. Everything will work out well. I probably inherited my mother's hostess anxiety.
We had supper at chruch. I have gf brownies and ice cream for an evening snack when they get back. Our VBS is 530-8pm. I don't konw what time they want to get up, but I will ask. They are free during the day, and church has given them some gift cards so they can buy food and make sandwiches ro whatever they want. I have refrigerator oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow, along with several choices of fruit. The vegetarian does eat dairy and eggs, so my plan for a breakfast casserole with hashbrown, veggies, eggs and cheese later in the week should work well - of course, these are internet recipes, which I have never tired, but they look OK. I've cooked enough that I can adapt. The gf young man is grateful for the attention I have made to his dietary needs. Our pastor has the same, so we have some experience with it at our church.

kittykatt, this certainly does sound like a suspicious story. Are you going to their house every day to look after the cat? Do you think she will fit in with yours? are they renting? Who is the landlord? I'm sure you don't konw the details, but I wonder if the rent is paid to the end of the month, then what? if they aren't back.

I have an email to write tonight to dfBS brother and her late husband's sister, to keep them up to speed on what's happening here, and to ask a few questions.
A good night sleep will be welcome. And I should go for a short walk before the "kids" get here.

I did laundry and hesitated too long about whether to call my db. It got too late, so I'll call him tomorrow. Tomorrow is a holiday here. Different provinces have different names/justifications for it. Do you have a holiday in the U.S.?
