Thinking Thurs. 8-6-26 PWYC

Post by Nancy »

Thinking what's going to need to be happening today.
What's that looking like in your life for your?
We have walked early to beat the heat.
I have rolled up the hoses in the front and back of the house.
I have mowing on my mind, but it's got to wait until at least full day light.

Neighbors put out boxes and stuff at the curb.
Some candle stuff in it I told dd about it she did not come by so decided I"m
not storing stuff for her might be useful some day! LOL!

Ddoggo was happy to walk in and early dawn today it was golden pink.
The horses were not visible in the field I see them some times they
might be in use or at a diff. summer pasture.

Did my a/m routine coffee qt journal Rx and wake up.
I've eaten & got the mowing done.
I have watered in back and the front sprinkler is going now.

Good morning

I'm on emotional overload and wanting to eat the paint off the walls from the anxiety. DD50 is in surgery but I can't be there because I've got too many to care for here. DSonIL is in surgery waiting room and sending me text updates when status changes. The OR nurse just called to tell him surgery is going well (1 hour into it)

DD15 was chatty this morning as I drove her to the first day of school. She was excited and dreading it at the same time. Sound familiar?

DS18 was late waking up this morning. this isn't his normal so I suspect he celebrated a bit too late last night. I didn't wake him until 10 minutes before he was suppose to be at work. Hum....should I have done that or let him face the consequences like an adult. >>>shrugging shoulder<<<

I got the battery operated lawn mower set up for DH to use this morning. It is the perfect way for him to get exercise in while also doing something that he is mentally able and safe. He is proud of his accomplishment which is a bonus.

I'm in charge of Astra for the next 7 hours until DD15 gets out of school. A three month old puppy should be able to hold her bladder for 3 hours is what DD15 told me. So that means I'll take Astra out at 10am and 1pm. DD15 will take over Astra care at the 4pm outing.

Good morning, Nancy and blessed

((LadyM and family)) So glad your dsonil is stateside now and can be there. Hopefully, all the preparation and information was beneficial, and the pros very capable with this. Hugs.

My healthy habits were a success yesterday with the best "Daily Dozen" total I've gotten in a while, 20 out of 24. It becomes more difficult the closer you get to 24 of course, but it's do-able. I used to get a perfect day about once every month. When good days like this happen, I sort of miss not keeping up with the pages of the app, which I do have available on my phone, but I think most of the time it might be sidetracking or anxious-making. It's helpful to just see at a glance, on my one monthly piece of paper, what I missed yesterday and might want to emphasize today.

***Big sigh of relief*** DD50 is out of surgery and all went well. Because of all the previous surgeries in same area they weren't sure if all the scar tissue would allow this surgery to be done robotically. Thankfully, they were able to do surgery robotically and didn't have to cut her open again. If I remember right this is her 5th surgery in area between ribs & hips. The other surgeries were done the "old way" with massive cuts and scars. I love when technology makes life easier.

Astra and my first outing was a success. She barked so I took her outside and she immediately did #2. I don't expect a puppy to be this easy all the time, but it is nice to be off to a good start.

So glad your DD50's surgery went well, LadyM! You certainly do have things going on in all directions, don't you?

Agreeing with blessed that Nancy's dawn walk sounds lovely!

I need to hear more about this "Daily Dozen," Harriet. Oh, and I've got a UFO cross-stitch for my godson's birth -- he's just announced his engagement, so maybe I can finish it for his firstborn.

Still wrestling with motivation. My innards managed to get me out of my armchair, though, so while I was up, I hit the treadmill, though for only 5 minutes, as it is not in the a/c zone. I should do some dishes, but again, that is out of the a/c, so I decided to come here first. My laptop can be wherever I like it, and I definitely like it here in the cool. Once I'm finished here, I will take the crock out of the fridge to warm up a bit before I pop it into the heating element. I didn't get it going early enough to have shredded beef last night, so we had pesto chicken salad. I'll probably have the leftovers of that for lunch, which I should have earlier than usual, as DD has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. That reminds me, I should put in orders for Target and OfficeMax, which are right across the street from the doctor's office. DH is out walking today -- I did not have to drive him; he made arrangements with a friend. The plan is to both drive to one end of the route and leave one car there, then drive to the other end of the route, where they will start hiking. When they get to the end, they will drive the one car over to the other and both will head home.

So. Place Target and OfficeMax orders. Do breakfast dishes. Start crockpot for dinner. Have lunch. Do lunch dishes. If I have time before taking DD, start a wash. Take DD. Pick up orders. Come home. That'll keep me busy for a while.

Have a great day, everybody!

Thinking about your family and DD50 in surgery this morning, LadyM, hoping for good outcomes and wise doctors.

I was awake during the night and it felt like I took a long time to get back to sleep. And ended up accidentally letting the snooze alarm go off so I slept in too. My sleep has not been great lately. Today I have a workout at two, and we'll have dinner out with A and V at 6 p.m. Shower will be after workout.

Have a text sent about meeting maintenance co on Monday at cemetery for shrub pruning and spreading the mulch that was generated when the a stump was ground down. So that's my cemetery thing for the moment.

so far all the bathrooms are vacuumed, swish and swiped and floors rinsed - dh's bathroom is taking me a very long time even with the daily swish and swipe.
his room smells so bad and I will have to add washing his sheets and blankets to my weekly chores. I sprayed it. his room always looks put away but oh it is dirty underneath. I opened his window as well. No nagging or telling him that his room was concerning; that doesn't help anyone. I Know he says he "will do it" but I can see I need to go in there daily to vacuum floors, clean bathrooms, and spray febreeze a bit. His windows need cleaning as well.

dh took dogs out a couple times.

I have a thyroid biopsy this afternoon - I have a nodule that is bigger. Trying not to stress about it.
I changed mammogram yesterday bc I was anxious about today. leave at 2:00 or right before that.

next:
dry sheets
clean dogs water bowls
look for garbage as tomorrow is garbage day
vacuum first floor
put away in laundry room and vacuum and wash floor under sink
vacuum family room
finish putting the photos in front room - I have all of mom's movies and pictures and need to get them scanned and put them on ancestry
wipe off floor trim in kitchen
5 minute room by room

other: exercise - just walk
dogs; I can't of sweet Gracie run so I will just walk outside with them in the yard.
I do want to do some kennel and training work

mom exercise: frustrated that helper put on a documentary right away - I don't want mom's tv on all the time.
I think I will make some exercise cards for mom, give her a small massage,

if I can after my appointment:
get my Illinois toll thingy
