dd older is talking to her - she is wonderfully understanding and uplifting for her.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
family room work done today - did not do the vents - I don't wanna's on that one. moved card to next week.
next week I will ask dh help me move the couch and chairs and then I can dust back there and then clean the other vents.
next job: declutter that area.

I am worth the effort to take care of myself hourly CI
11am
Noon
1pm
It is the time of day that I resist going outside because of the extreme heat. Real temp is 106F. I don't need to know what the feels like temp is because I already know it is dangerously hot.
DH helped me flip the couch over in the living room. It is one of those leather couches that have recliners on each end....aka super heavy and difficult to move by myself. I'm going to clean the bottom of the couch and underneath floor area well and wash the wall and baseboards surrounding it. Then get help to flip it back into place.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
mom is up again and dd older is cutting up vegetables with mom and making veg skewers - mom is chatting away while working.
it's wonderful to see. purpose is so important! she also had mom salt and pepper the steak kabobs - I like the veggies but not steak
finished hanging a picture in family room
dejunked family room and put away - looks better!
now to do the "vacuum better card" one zone a day: not the usual quick daily vacuum. today: vacuum under the laundry room sink - done -
I should move things and vacuum as well - but I don't "wanna" do it.
- I think I did enough for today on that - I will work on it on monday as that is my kitchen and laundry room day.
dog just ate a fly (again)- gross - (again)
Helper went home close to her 1 pm time - dd older had mom walk twice - great -
I don't swish and swipe the bathrooms on weekends
dh's fitted sheet is now in the washer - I need to make a weekly card for his bedding.
I pick up his comforter on Tuesday

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
found out my d nieces church for her wedding will be an hour and a half from here - (an hour from her house) his mom and dad is part of a big polish community and they go to that church. it was probably very important to them. Very sweet of her to respect her in-laws. I think it will be too far for dh though. (the reception is 4 hours later and the dinner is 5 hours later.) I do have the helper staying until 11 pm (keeping fingers crossed)
she wrote a lovely note to us!

Couch is back in its place with everything freshly cleaned under & surrounding it. We need a new couch but I'm waiting until the teenagers phase is over. The couch is structurally sound, but the leather is showing worn around two of the edges. Teenagers are incredibly hard on furniture, so I'll continue to use this furniture for a couple more years.
DS18 is experiencing life being broke while waiting for that first paycheck (on Monday). He hasn't asked me for money because he want to be independent. I'm not offering him money because I respect his desire to be independent. There is plenty of food and drinks here, so he isn't suffering.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
I found the work book I was looking for... while in the butterfly room I realized there are very few books in the book case so...
I pulled the one shelf of planners off and have been rectifying that and combining the old planners for every two trying to get
them condensed in to one so there will be half as many that's the plan. This is satisfying.
I've had lunch and took a break.
Local troops [army] have been dispatched to fight fires in their area it was so encouraging to see the convoy leave
from about 40 mi. up river coming to town. I am encouraged and hopeful.
Watched the last half of an episode on a series it was the final one glad I can say I finished something today! LOL!
----
Had a nap and then ...
Did another session of the condensing of planners successfully happened yea!
I have some to use later for projects like my sewing planner, and on it just for notes pages.
I can take the skinny ones and disassemble them to reuse later if needed taking the discs out and the dividers out and
covers off of them. Glad for my collection because they have not been as available as the supply chain issues have
not been restored like I'd hoped. So I've had to come up with alternatives.
-----
Had a snacky type dinner.
It's been breezy but the air is better.
Hot today and at 8:00 p.m. has cooled of enough to be tolerable.
I'm watering in the front now.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Fun brief time with grands - the house is in a state and packing going on all around the LR. DangerBoy also packing, to leave Tuesday. He will be the muscle to help move tomorrow, while two younger boys stay home with granddog. I took cookies, some fruits, the gloves I bought for DangerBoy. Gave ddolder the headband in gold/brown colors, that I've been meaning to get to her. The ones with blacks and blues look good on me, but not that one.
I picked her up at mailbox, having just pulled out two packages. Things that arrived barely in time to get packed, yipes. A hoodie and posters.
