made a list of possible cooking this week (nothing set in stone but good)

we are trying to enrich mom's days - I have been looking up fun things on instagram, setting up exercises for us and helpers, things that mom would probably enjoy, sewing pins on things so we can sew seems , halloween, apple stuff etc. for fall, tomorrow I will have her help make small tarts. I will also have mom start brushing dogs daily. she does enjoy that.

Sunday helper took mom to her room again - instead of staying with the family areas where everyone is - I am not crazy about that. I will set up a routine that hopefully they will try-very simple - not to much pressure for mom. - and start expecting them to let mom walk with walker. tv seems to be a norm for helpers. At least during the week our helper puts on documentaries mom is interested in. during the week the helper doesn't like going for walks but will sit on the porch with mom - she is a kind and loving woman.
I know I can't have mom help me with everything but she likes purpose!
I wish I had a wheelchair van to drive her around in - I can't pick up mom to put her in the front seat.

card file set up for the week
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I am worth the effort to take care of myself hourly CI

DS18 came to talk to me so I missed doing self care during that hour. As long as I'm doing self-care 80% of the hours that I'm awake, I'm 100% okay with it. My goal isn't perfection.

DS18 set such high bar for himself to be independent.(unnecessary IMHO) During our conversation today, he said "Can I.....oh wait...nevermind....I'm not asking you that. I'm 18 and an adult. I'll take care of it myself"
I insisted that he tell me what he was going to ask. He didn't say anything but he did take his shoe off and stuck his finger through the bottom of the sole. His shoes have a hole in the bottom!
REally?! I told him to go get a pair of shoes and put it on my CC. Stop holding yourself to unrealistic independent expectation. You will become a fully functional adult, but it isn't happening instantly.

DH is doing okay but there have been 2 bathroom accidents. He insists on cleaning it up himself.

Blessed would your mom like a vest for decorative buttons like a collection I'm thinking like boy scouts or bikers that have pins
all over them in the front maybe just for fun! And talked about them.

I got writing pens out of my pen drawer it was full! I keep extras so I do not run out of colors, I use diff. ones on diff. days.
Was having a hard time finding red ones so I tried some other brands and they are coming in hands for the the 2nd desk
in the basement. The other one too LOL! Any way shop at home for the win!

I'm tickled with the positive input I got from my sideways pic of the sundae I posted on FB LOL!
It was wonky for some reason.

Might be bC I have a not new phone...

I have watched an art show, an interview with and author and a TV producer or writer interview very good for
creative minds!

Mad my lunch I used cooked meat so it was easy.
Used white out on one of the planners I will use in the coming weeks.

TIP : I use pen pouches that zip for my diabetic supplies and get one or two this time of year to have a back up.
They work great for my insulin, needles & bg monitor and test strips, and a snack like fruit grain bar if I have a low on the go.
I keep my name and address in it too.

-----
I had dinner.
Got my hair washed.
AQI is back up to unhealthy for sensitive groups again.
Filled out q's in my planner pages about half done.
Put more white out on dates on a few pages I'd missed.
They can be for what ever now.
I have watered the beds.
Good news a cool down mid to late week for us yea!

We just got home from evening church services.

DS18 went to McDonalds to get food for everyone (except me). I didn't cook an evening meal and there isn't a lot of ready-to-eat food available. I'll have to restock tomorrow.
