Haha that took re reading a few times to get the 10 kitkat bars 😆. I thought that was your younger dog lann did you have 2 golden? Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. How is he 10? Except Casper is 4 next month 😆

I've never heard of Mrs mop but thank you. It worked. I had a few sticky spots so I did a quick mop. Almost managed whb before work. I could vacuum yet. Nope not with that brute before freight day. I never did decide on a vacuum. I might have time this morning. Truck is late again.

Perhaps the huts in Norway are more civilized than the ones we stayed in, Kitty. The first is privately run but the 2nd and 3rd are run by the Swiss Alpine Club. The last hut seemed to be mainly a mountain climbing hut, the one which required the 15 meter climb up a rock face to get to it. It is at 3200+ meters - but the views were amazing. Our party of 20 was one of a few groups that didn't get up at 4:30 a.m. to climb the summit of some mountain. It is large and can sleep 120 people. The other 2 were small, more like around 30 people, of which our party was 20. :)
WTG washing the mattress covers, trissie! Ha ha - I kind of had the same initial reaction to L Ann's 10 Kitkat. :)
kitkat, I'm still reading the young adult book: Simon Sort of Says, recommended by dd28. I'm also reading a couple faith/ devotional books, including one entitled Redeeming Eden, about the role of women in the Bible. Friend MM and I will meet after our trip to discuss it, so I'd better read it! Sounds like a full day. Did you have a DGD after the appt?
I can't believe Casper is turning 4, Lauralind! I always think of him as a pup!
Sounds like you had a full day with Little Bit and a medical appointment, L Ann.

Here's a link to 3 photos from the top hut. I couldn't post more photos bc they are too many MB and I haven't figure out how to size them down. https://ibb.co/album/2ZPmhw

We did have a nice visit with friend EP! She has lived in Toulon since she was 7 years old and gave us a nice tour as we meandered from the train station to the port, where we ate lunch at a restaurant that specializes in mussels. I'm not super fond of mussels, so I had a salad with shrimp. All was good! Dh loves mussels! We talked and talked and talked - and I was so tired by the time we got back on the train to return to Avignon. We got back to our apartment a little after 5 pm, so it was a full day excursion.

Next:
- duolingo
- relax
- go to bed not too late

Later:
- duolingo
- update MFP
- perhaps progress on payroll - S6 GGT - tomorrow

TaDas!
- up; make coffee
- check emails - not many
- dh has got my phone charging
- s2s and self care
- gather stuff for a day out
- make the bed - quick and sloppy but it's better
- tidy the kitchen
- taxi at 8:30
- train at 9:37
- meet up with friend EP in Toulon
- lunch
- 3 pm train back
- tidy the kitchen
- rest a bit
- dinner: sandwiches at sandwich place
- a few more groceries - water, yogurt, fruit

I really appreciate this board being so international. Love it that you can post on vacation closer to our European friends and share your travel adventures. So cool.

I know time flies. Casper will always be a pup that is for sure. Hes tamed quite nicely. So sweet except he's still that strong brute 😆. I must say though he's figured out how to run off and when I go back inside I'm getting a treat. Starting to come back to me better.

Lunch break 😋

Gorgeous photos, helia! You must be in fantastic shape to manage those heights!

I'm officially exhausted and I think I made a decision to skip my stretching class in favour of a long soak in the tub:)
I took a short nap after my last outing. (Apparently, one can't find alcohol wipes - anywhere...)

Next:
clean the med. containers
fill this week's container
pa clothing
pa paper towels etc.
enter appts in calendar
feed dpup
feed DH
read my book - get lots of rest - tomorrow is Grammy camp cont'd. (Book is : Cutting For Stone )

Where is Dogged today?

A short hi to all
The party yesterday was lots of fun and opportunity to visit with cousins. The birthday boy is the husband of my cousin; he commented on how tight-knit the "Johnson" cousins are, that we always show up for each other. He noted that his cousins don't. We told him, after 60 years of marriage, he counted as one of our cousins.
One of DS dogs is sick. I cooked a chicken breast for her, shopped it up fine, and mixed it with well cooked rice and half a carrot. I thought that would certainly entice her to eat, if anything woild. We don't konw yet what is wrong with her - the first diagnosis (merely from symptoms) of pancreatitis doesn't seem to be it, as her lab work for that is normal. More diagnostic work to follow, but drive 80 miles for that.
Took my "new-to-me" car in for oil change and tire rotation. Got an estimate of its worth - about $15K less than her (jealous) housekeeper had told me confidently that she "knew" its value. The number she gave me was even more than what dfBS paid for the car 4, almost 5, years ago!
Am trying to put mother's house back together after the fun and commotion of last week. I can let go of that....
Yes, helia, I do need to be thinking about "who am I" without my mother, without dfBS needing care. One wonderful lady from church has invited me to her house for supper tonight; that will be so nice.
I have been giving some thought to how I can decorate MY house, with somethings I like: some I have made, some I have bought, some from mother's house.

I have vacuumed a little at mother's,
swept long hair in the bathroom
half made 1 bed
taken out garbage
visited with daughter of df who died last March
gave her a prayer shawl that her mother had given my mother (One drawer at mother's now totally empty!)

next up, finish making the 1 bed, then head to df for supper. It will be so nice to have a good conversation with a good friend.

I have a long way to go with my house to be able to do what I want: Invite people in for luncheon, or afternoon visiting, etc.
