What fun for your mother, bw2. Glad you were able to be out and about for the occasion.
I also have the crud - summer cold, perhaps COVID - does anyone worry about COVID anymore, lol? I wouldn't worry about being sick but we're supposed to go to a baby shower brunch tomorrow in ATL and I'd hate to get anyone sick. I have a pretty significant sore throat and headache. And my nose is running. I'm thinking I shouldn't be going tomorrow. Had symptoms only since yesterday afternoon - even if I did a covid test it probably wouldn't be positive at this point?
Dh went out of town to a bowling tournament for the day, will be home around 9 p.m. he said. Nonetheless, I have done some desk work today on the cemetery database and have the dates corrected to a MM/dd/yyyy format so they will sort. And I've added those on Find a Grave that got missed on temple records. I think the next thing to do will be to go to the cemetery and actually map these graves to the GIS map of the area.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Another brief bit of thunder and lightening just a couple of claps.
I do not have to water now bc it did rain.
SO glad I mowed.
I have my dinner ready to microwave.
It was good.
Took some quite time to just think.
SO glad to be able to see the mtns. & hill the haze and smoke are better for now any way yea!
One lawn chair blew over I picked it up & swept the leaves off the deck.
Cleaned off the deck table.
I washed each dish after use today that was satisfying.
Did some reading.
Chased some dust bunnies in the laundry zone.
Quite a bit of just sitting and thinking after the strom and enjoying the quiet and seeing the view
with out smoke and haze at least for a bit.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
I think especially for a baby shower you would be excused from attendance if you feel sick. You don’t want the expectant mother to catch anything.
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon, also, Rose!
Also sending (((very gentle hugs))) for you, LadyM. I do hope you get some pain relief soon.
I’m so glad you and your dmom were able to go to the shower, blessed! I know that was good for your mom!
Nancy — I’m so glad your air is a little clearer!
And Cathy — I hope your skies clear up soon! Sounds like you have had plenty of rain.
Lauralind — we are all going to be anxiously awaiting the arrival of the baby to see what y’all get!
Well, I guess I’ve had a satisfying Saturday. Took the dgrands to the pool. Dgd has been pretty moody tonight but at least they have both bathed and have their clothes laid out for the morning. I have to teach their Sunday School class bc ddil is working this weekend. Ds is out of town till late tomorrow night.
I’m about to take my shower and maybe get some sleep tonight!

Get Well Wishes for (((Ramblin', LadyM and Twins')))! Big squeezy cyberhugs without fear of ouches or germ-spreading. Smart women able to make good decisions about it all, but gee, NOT FAIR.
Cathy and Nancy, glad to hear that mowing decisions turned out to be wise. Cathy, wonder if your neighbors were sort of glad you were moving when the parents arrived, so that the aroma would seem to be from you, not that they rushed to get it done right before the visit, lol. That would sound like me, actually.
blessed, did a lot of photos get taken? An ideal time for requesting that you and your brother get copies, since it would be meaningful to you two to see your dmother enjoying life so happily. An enlargement of a favorite for her room so any visitors could have something to hear about?
Lauralind, my dmother used to recommend "mint green" for every baby gift! People would say they were pretty sure about the gender, but she would repeat, "I'm telling you, mint green."
So happy for you.
Hello, Kittykatt! Sounds like a cottage-y Satisfying day.
Enjoy teaching, lucylee. Wonder if Mystery has responsibilities in the morning, too.
We will not be seeing dd27 and dsonil this weekend after all. He had a conference to attend for his second income, which has been going very well, and he took her along for her bday. Both his jobs are graphic design, he just works for himself in a more niche market for the second.
So, for good or ill, I have not done as much on her bday present today as I had planned. I'm perfectionistic-ly procrastinating.
The sprouts had a good, long, sunshiny window day and are processed and in the fridge. I'll either start more in the morning or wait one day like last week.
The watering can and I had a long session outdoors, lol.
Had a little chat with twin fawns who are getting leggy but still have their spots. "Darlings," I said, "you're cute but stay out of my garden." They were not scared, but their mother got them out of there fast. Pretty good first encounter with a talking human. Not traumatic, but Mama says "no".

Aww I love that story of mint green. So true it's good for either. Along with white and yellow. I can't wait to see either.
